I had a great time and a knowledgeable driver. The views from 9500 feet above sea level was worth it. It was the same feeling I felt when I saw the southern rim of the Grand Canyon obviously not as large, but that same sense of awe and peace. Even the ride up to the crater had some beautiful views as well. Please note you can see the crater from where the bus stops and no hiking is needed. However, if you hike about quarter to a half mile up from where the bus stops you will see the a different and more beautiful view of the crater. Also, I took the day tour and it was about 40 to 50 degrees so bring a jacket. I met some people who took the morning and evening tour and they said it was very cold 30 degrees. Do some research on the weather like I did so you can be prepared.

Hard to describe what it felt like 9700 feet above the island. It's worth the trip up just to be able to see what a stark contrat it is. The wind was blowing over 40 mph, and the temperature was chilling, but a great experience.

The crater was amazing. Driver was knowledgeable and interesting. There is no problem with meeting ship times.

The driver told us a lot about the city and where we were going. He was great!

The Haleakala crater was fascinating. We were disappointed that features advertised on your web site were not included in this tour because we specifically chose this tour for those inclusions. These were the protea farms of Kula and the tour of the Maui Coral Factory to see how black coral is transformed into jewelry. Our guide suggested this information was ten years out of date so it seems appropriate that you amend your web site. Patricia B

Definitely recommend this for Maui first timers like me and my wife. Like some of the other tours, it gets cold up there. We were there on the first week of December, average temp at sea level was mid 80's F. up there wear some pants/jeans, and bring a light jacket to layer up. Weather was perfect. Blue skies and some clouds, but we were so high up we were ABOVE them. Convenient with cruise ship pier pick up. One of your days in Maui need to be this tour.

Roberts Hawaii bus driver Bobby was not the best driver and tour guide. Interacted with several people from Ga and really didn't have much to comment. Said he was due to retire well I believe he's overdue because he is just putting his time in. Didn't even get out of the bus at the crater.Really this tour is overrated.

It was so foggy and misty that we could not see anything. A great big disappointment.

Great day. We had a great guide, comfortable coach, fantastic switch back roads with great views up to crater. The crater was amazing but word to wise, leave your hats on the bus - the winds up there are unbelievable. All in all a great day. T'N'T

Awesome view from the top of the trail. The driver was entertaining and informative.

The trip was operated by the major Hawaiian tour company, using a first class coach, picking up/dropping off at the same place as the cruise ship's own tour. It also did the same itinerary but at a vastly reduced price! Unfortunately, the weather was wet and cloudy up to 7,000 feet but above that we were in sunshine and, at 10,000 feet, the crater looked like your publicity photo.

Unfortunately it I was totally overcast at the top so we could not see anything and even with warm sweaters and jackets it was very cold at the visitor information place. Fortunately inside the building was good shelter from the strong, cold wind. My companion had seen this crater in November and was so impressed that she wanted to see it again. She was even more disappointed than I because she knew how fabulous it could be!

Amazing views of the crater and the island. Don't forget to bring a jacket, there were people walking around in summer shirts and they were very cold.

The excursion was enhanced by the tour director. His knowledge and manner were excellent. Though the weather did not cooperate we were still able to experience the awesomeness of the crater.

Harvey was a great tour guide. We would do this tour again.

Kahului is on the island of Maui. We used Roberts Hawaii for our tour as it is cheaper than the tours provided by our cruise ship Pride of America. We went to the same places as the other tours. Haleakala Crater is an old volcanoe crater. The view was great. We visited a coral factory. The tour bus driver was informative and friendly.
