Board a catamaran that will take you on a short ride to Stone Island! Located on the southern end of Mazatlan, Stone Island is a nice place to relax and get away from the crowded streets and beaches of Mazatlan. You'll learn about the island and its history from your bilingual tour guide while enjoying complimentary drinks from the onboard bar.
Upon arrival on the island, you'll be served lunch on the beach before selecting two activities to do while on the island. Choose from horseback riding, kayaking, riding on a banana boat or enjoying a horse-and-cart ride. If there's enough time after your activities, relax on the beach before heading back to your cruise port.

We were glad to go to Stone Island, but there was a lot of downtime on this tour. We waited for over an hour before getting there, and the food was terrible. It was overcooked and fried, rendering it inedible. _br/_ The best thing about Stone Island is that it has a beautiful, flat beach, and the waves were good for body surfing.

Good clear instructions on where and who to meet. Alfredo, our rep, was so attentive. We were the only English on the trip with Mexican people, who were lovely and fun, and he made sure we understood what was going on and checked we were ok all the time. He even allotted a waiter to help us. The horse riding was enjoyable and not too long or tiring for us or the horses, and the pony and trap ride was made really great fun with the driver singing Mexican songs. Also food and drinks were very good. Fantastic day out and would thoroughly recommend. Most preferred trip in Mexico for us. Thank you Viator, another great trip!

The boat ride was fun. We went on the horseback ride- very short only about 7 minute, as well as the kayaking adventure- very little instruction. I would recommend this exclusion for adults. The open bar was AMAZING!

BEWARE, worst tour we have ever been on. The guide was late, made us walk to the pier and then left us waiting at some restaurant at the pier for over an hour. When we questioned what was going on we were told we had to wait for other people to join us, who by the way paid less than booking through Viator. Once we were loaded onto a very old boat we were taken sightseeing, 2 white rocks in the middle of the water, and why are they white??? Bird POOP!!!! And we paid for this!!! Then we arrived at the resort and were given assigned seats, where mangy dogs roamed and weren't allowed to sit at the tables by the water. The food was ok but nothing to write home about. Then it was time for our carriage ride and this is where we became both heartbroken and angry, the poor horse was malnourished and abused. During our ride the poor horses legs buckled and the driver just yelled and beat the horse more. When we got back we waited to see if the horse would at least be given water not to mention a treat but nothing. All the horses were this way and their manes and tails were full of burrs. It was heartbreaking. We thought this would be a great way to spend the day but unfortunately seeing the abuse of the horses was enough for us to go back to the ship early with a group of others who were equally as upset and angered. We will think twice about Viator now.

Excellent value for the day. The directions could have been more clear that the taxi stand meeting place was outside the cruise port entrance but we finally made the connection after calling the office. The horses were pretty bedraggled but we didn't choose to ride them anyway. Food was good and botanical garden across from the restaurant was amazing.

Fantastic time had on Stone Island. Our guide was waiting for our group of 7, and from that point on, we experienced a worry free day with transportation from the marina to the beach area where we enjoyed great food and service. Be aware that you might need to help push the tow boat for the banana tube into the water, or wait just a bit for a kayak, but that is expected as the price was a real value. I recommend this for all ages.

Good but we could't figure out how to get to the pickup point from the Cruise. so we missed the boat. It was very difficult to get to the area without a guide. Once there, the stuff was good. Based on what we heard, it was one of the better things to do in Matzatlan.

It was good fun overall. Good food and drinks. Open bar at the beach. Enjoyed the activities including the horse back rides. The tour also included a short harbour cruise before going to the island and that was great. The tour guide was very helpful and knowledgeable and he kept us happy and occupied. He also arranged us to leave the island about 30 minutes earlier than other guests to ensure that we were back on our cruise ship on time.
