The bus had no air conditioning and was filthy, the seats old and saggy, and some were broken, some windows would not open. They said they had another bus but it was in the shop. I really doubt that. The singer was ok and did tell lots of good stories about singers from Memphis, but I was very uncomfortable. The driver almost got in a wreck and the buses springs were shot, and we bounced a lot.

This was very fun. Our singing/guitar-playing tour guide was very energetic and charismatic, and knew a lot! You learn a lot about Memphis music history and ride by sites related to Elvis and B.B. King and Jerry Lee Lewis among other historical sites, including the Lorraine hotel. Most of the time youre on the bus, though you do stop at the park where Elvis and others took the stage. I definitely recommend upgrading to the Sun Studios tour. That was an amazing tour with a different tour guide considering its basically just two rooms youre seeing but the guide made it a very entertaining and interactive experience.

Really great tour._br/_ Jump onto a bus with several others and a storyteller / singer with his guitar. Get handed a tambourine, bongo or shaker._br/_ Lets make music!!_br/_ The young singer was so enthusiastic about telling and singing the stories that have made rock and roll history._br/_ Touring Memphis from site to site with a couple of short exit the bus stops all the time singing and tambourining._br/_ We did the extension of Sun Studio. Just stay on the bus, Sun Studio tour then bus back to Beale Street._br/_ The driver was a bit grumpy, but funny grumpy.

I found this to be very informative, our guide was knowledgeable and also talented. It would be good if the guide tried to get the clients more involved in signing along. I really enjoyed the Sun Studio part of this tour.

We really enjoyed this musical tour of the city. Our friendly tour guide was a real musician who entertained the group with his songs while he played his guitar, and with his stories and information about the history of Memphis. He got audience participation, which added to the fun. So much better than just a talking tour. The only recommendation for improvement would be that the bus needed better air conditioning and/or air circulation--it became somewhat warm and stuffy in the bus. Despite this slight discomfort, the experience was fun and worthwhile, and we are so glad that we chose this tour.

This was our first visit to Memphis, and we swere charmed. The tour was the No. 1 factor in giving us needed historical and social perspective. Our guide, Nancy Apple, also provided a flavor of the city and put some flesh on not only a famous Southern city but its reputation as one of the country's music capitols. The venue was ideal for my wife, who is disabled and cannot realistically participate in tours that require a lot of walking or on-an-off of a bus. In any city of size, it can be overwhelming and frustrating for a newcomer to ask the simple question, So, what would you like to see? We have some good answers for a likely return trip.

Fun time with lots of good information. I'm a baby boomer who knew a lot of the history of Memphis and the music industry there so I loved the details and background information given. My grandkids, 10 and 14, loved the singing, shaking and entertaining delivery. My 8 year old wasn't so entertained.

This tour is a MUST, especially for music lovers. I learned so much about the music history of Memphis and had a great time. Nancy Apple was a great tour guide. She is like a walking encyclopedia of Memphis history. It was so fun learning all about Memphis with great music in between information. Be sure to tour Sun Studios as well, it's an optional add on that was really amazing to see. I loved this tour and would even do it again if I visit Memphis again in the future.

This is the 2nd time I've taken this tour. My 1st was with Memphis Jones in 2011 who was a great singer and very knowledgeable on Memphis history. This time a female singer took the tour, with the greatest of respect her choice of songs and singing ability were poor, at times I felt like I was in kindergarten. She did however share some interesting historical Memphis information, which was enjoyable. And the tour stopped by many interesting landmarks.

This tour is NOT your ordinary bus tour with a guide who is weary of his speech and his job. The mojo guide sings and plays a guitar skillfully. He is a consummate storyteller and quick to improvise when appropriate. We are older than dirt, but even when the guide told stories we knew, they seemed fresh again. We followed this tour with a visit to the Rock and Soul Museum, and it was a perfect pairing. The Museum experience built on themes already set by the bus tour. We would give it six stars if we could.

When we signed in the girl had all of our information right there. It was very easy to sign in and she was very nice and she really was good at her job. The tour was great! The bus driver did a great job. When we were finiished he answered our questions about various topics. While on the tour, the young man who played guitar and told us about all of the history of Memphis was extremely enjoyable and informative. He was perfect for the job. He also answered a lot of questions. I would recommend this tour to everyone.

We were a little disappointed in this tour. It was made out to be a fun, music filled tour where you get to play instruments as you toured the city. We got to use shakers eggs filled with rice and 3 people got to use tamborines. It was informative and the guide did do a lot of singing but was not all that it was advertised

The tour was really good. The only thing I would suggest is for the facilitator of the tour to have more interaction with guests. We had instruments to use to play along while he sang, but it would have been more exciting if he would interacted with the guest more. Other than that, we thoroughly enjoyed the tour. Some of our friends that attended are from Memphis, and they learned things that they did not know.

The tour of Sun Records was better than I expected it to be. The person that gave the tour was vibrant, knowledgeable, and fun. We were supposed to go on to other parts of the Memphis tour but somehow wires got crossed - The tour company refunded us our entire fee and gave us direction to a wonderful restaurant where we wrapped up our day. Loved the part of the tour that we experienced and very happy with the way the company respolved the mix-up.

First time to Memphis and searched for the most highly recommended tour. This was it. We also did the Sun Studio option, which was more for convenience and parking. I'm glad we did both. It was a fun tour, with good music and a good story. A good way to see Memphis.

So fun!! We did this with our 18, 15, and 11 year old kids and it was so much better than a old fashioned tour. We were on a long road trip and they were kind of museum-ed out, but my husband and I still wanted to learn about Memphis!

Other people not on our Mojo tour joined us for the Sun Studio tour--and it was very crowded. My only complaint. We are in our 60s and enjoyed it!
