Meet your local guide outside the Ambrosian Library (Pinacoteca Ambrosiana) in central Milan. Receive a headset to help you best hear the commentary and then head inside to see the Atlantic Codex, the largest collection of Leonardo da Vinci drawings in the world. Follow your guide through the temporary exhibition and hear how this 12-volume bound set of scientific drawings and writings, comprised between 1478 and 1519, was written in mirror image — right to left and backwards.
After marveling at the Atlantic Codex, enjoy a leisurely stroll through the city center to the Church of Santa Maria delle Grazie. Enjoy a guided tour of the UNESCO-listed church and Dominican convent and then perhaps refuel with a drink and a light snack (own expense) in the square outside the church.
Then, walk together with your guide to the convent’s refectory where The Last Supper is housed. Bypass the crowds with your skip-the-line ticket and enter the intimate room with your guide — only one group at a time is allowed to stand with the painting. Get up close to this world-famous mural that depicts the moment Jesus announced that one of his 12 disciples would betray him. Admire the exquisite colors and details and hear about the painstaking 21-year restoration that is has recently undergone.
After your time is up (15 minutes is the maximum amount of time anyone is allowed to stay in the specially conditioned room), head to the souvenir shop where your tour concludes. Here, take the opportunity to purchase gifts for yourself, your friends or your family. Alternatively, ask your guide for directions to anywhere else you want to go.

This was worth every penny - the tour was very informative - many surprises about Milan itself that we didn't expect as we walked from the Museum to the Last Supper. Our guide was excellent - and he kept the group together. I also learned alot more about Renaissance painting than I expected. Don't hesitate - its a small group so you really get to see what you need to see. You are well prepared to truly appreciate the masterpiece of the Last Supper when you get there.

This tour met my expectations. You do walk about 25 minutes between the museum and the convent where the Last Supper is located so be prepared to walk. Worth every step!

This tour will be with us forever. The opportunity to see such a magnificent piece of significant history is incredible. The fragility of the painting it may end up like the Shroud of Turin and only can be seen once every decade. Please do yourself a favour before it's to late. Don't leave this until the last minute because you will never get in. Book months in advance

Seeing the painting was awesome and is something if in Milan you should put at the top of your list. This particular tour was good but we could have seen more of the city I believe. Had to be at the museum for the viewing on time so this is understandable but more should be mixed in on the tour.

We 4 of us highly recommend this easy walking tour. You start at Pinacoteca Ambrosiana located at Piazza Pio XI. It is a museum with several other artists' painting and also home to the Codex Atlanticus exhibition, a collection of drawings and writings by Leonardo da Vinci.

Was a wonderful experience, the tour guide Davide Brusa is very knowledgeable and very well organized, he knows exactly what he wants to share with the group and where the next stop is in the museum. Apparently he studied art is also a big fan of art culture, he shared in-depth information on the paintings with passion which is very much appreciated, things that we listened to were way beyond what we can read from books. The only suggested to the tour is that it would be great if there is some free time to spend in the museum.

The tour is very well structured to build up interest and understanding before the viewing of The Last Supper. It is a good highlights tour, and if you are staying in Milan for a while would probably inspire you to revisit some of the sights to spend a little longer at each of them. It was really interesting to have a whole tour focused around DaVinci, and his life/influence in Milan! Seeing the Last Supper in person was amazing, and having a tour guide to talk you through it and explain the process definitely enhanced the experience. I wish we had more time in the Codex though, and got to see more of the documents it contained. That part felt rushed and was something I was really looking forward to.

This tour was excellent. Laura I think was a wonderful guide. She talked about Leornardo Da Vinci with passion and made our tour very interesting. But, what was annoying is that she left us at the final point of the tour to return to our hotel by taxi or subway. I would have preferred to return to the departing point. Otherwise, the tour was excellent.

I got to see the Last Supper and Codex Atlantica, which is the most important thing. But like the other Viator tour I and #39;ve done, the guide was impersonal with limited knowledge. Headsets are also the worst way to visit museums.
