Get to know the stylish city of Milan on foot, starting with a visit inside the famous Duomo in the heart of the city. This impressive and beautiful cathedral is often described as one of the most beautiful churches in the world!
Your next stop is the impressive Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II – a 19th-century glass-vaulted shopping arcade. Brimming with fashionable shops and cafes, you can admire the spectacular shop windows as you pass through the gallery to reach Piazza della Scala. This famous square is home to the world-renowned La Scala – Milan’s opera house since 1778 and still in use today. Some of the greatest musicians and singers the world has ever known have performed here!
Next, take a stroll through the Brera District, rich in historical buildings, restaurants and fashionable bars – this area has long been home to artists and intellectuals. Its picturesque and winding streets lead you north to Sforza Castle, where you will take a short stop to admire the imposing medieval castle and fortress.
The final stop and highlight of this walking tour is Leonardo da Vinci’s The Last Supper, hidden inside a Dominican refectory next to the Church of Santa Maria delle Grazie. This enormous and complex 15th-century mural captures the emotional moment in which Jesus announces that one of his 12 disciples will betray him. The painting had been severely damaged over the centuries, and has only very recently undergone a painstaking 21-year restoration, revealing the original colors and details of this masterpiece.
The delicate nature of the mural and its importance means entrance is strictly limited to those who have pre-booked – only one group is allowed to stand with the painting at a time, in a specially conditioned room, for 15 minutes only. This skip-the-line tour includes pre-booked entrance, so you avoid the lines and enjoy an intimate viewing of this sublime and incredibly special painting.

* The above itinerary is applicable to the 10:30am and 2:30pm departures only. If you select a different departure time, the tour will start at The Last Supper and finish with the walking tour around Piazza del Duomo.
* Visits inside the Duomo are not possible on Sundays or religious holidays. On these days, a detailed tour will be given from outside of the Duomo.
Do make sure you know what time you ticket is good and WHERE. There can be confusion with a lack of queues and where you need to line-up. Pay attention to strikes too.

The plan for this tour was fine, but the execution lacked somewhat. The guide who also guides the Duomo separately lost control of the group. People were wandering, stopping in a cafe for wine, and so forth. None of the bad behavior is the guides fault, but a a result we had to do some rushing on the walking tour, which was a real shame.

We have learnt tremendously from the explanation by our guide on Italy history and how they are relevant to the places that we are visiting. I have so much appreciation on the golden line inside the Duomo di Milano, the stained glasses on the church windows, how gentlemen agreement being made to preserve the churches from being bombed. This was an excellent tour and started with a guided visit to the Milan Duomo which was interesting and beautiful. We then walked through many parts of Milan and saw several interesting sights. Then it was onto the Da Vinci's The Last Supper which was at a prearranged time without us having to wait to get in as this is one of the most visited sights in Milan. The frescoe is fantastic and incredible to see after so many years after it was painted. We the walked more through Milan before returning to the Duomo after a wonderful afternoon. Highly recommended.

We had one day in Milan to see the sights as a stop over. The walking tour was good because it took in several sights and also helped us get orientated in the city. We wished we had another day to see a few more things following the tour. Our guide spoke excellent English and was very friendly and knowledgeable. The audio head sets were great because it made it clear and easy to hear out guide. I would recommend this tour as the first thing to do in the city so you can learn the lay of the land and explore for yourself from there.

When Anna told us that we could not enter the Duomo as there was a private service happening, my heart sank and I thought that the tour would be diminished. But I should not have worried as she more than made up for it with an interesting and sparkling commentary on Milan, with the jewel in the crown being The Last Supper. Although pricey, this tour was very worthwhile and I would thoroughly recommend it.

Good tour. Does not include the visit to the Terraces Duomo which is a must. At the end of the tour at da Vinci's last supper it's not easy to find your way back to the center of Milan.

This tour ranges widely over the city of Milan and includes admission to the duomo/cathedral and the church housing da Vincis Last Supper. The group leader's commentary was interesting and clear. I have only one complaint: the tour requires that participants walk a great distance and at a fairly lively pace. It is not really suitable for those who cannot manage the distance and the pace. The tour ends at a significant distance from where it starts. The guide pointed out a variety of types of public transport which could return participants to the starting point if they did not wish to retrace their steps.

I would highly recommend this tour if you are in really great shape. Just seeing the last supper and a shorter walking tour would have been perfect. It was to long of a walk and finally we took our headsets off just to enjoy the area around us. The guide was informative.

Totally enjoyable from start to finish, Easy to locate start up point and Tour guide was very punctual. Enjoyable tour by knowledgeable quick talking guide. Guide very helpful in assisting at the end as well as answering questions. Small group was 19-20-- not what we thought was small, should have been 2 groups. Had to skip middle part due to faster pace-- to get it all in, but were back for The Last Supper tour. Duomo was wonderful too. Had hoped the trolley tour of these would be available as were in July. Would recommend, but confirm size before signing up. I do tours with headsets in hometown through a national company so realize what is needed to make a successful tour.

We had an amazing tour with our brilliant, friendly and charming tour guide Katerina. She took care of the entire group very well shepherding us through the streets of Milan as well into the Duomo, the Sforza Castle and the Santa Maria Grazie church where the simply mind-blowing Last Supper is. She very obviously enjoys her work and her knowledge of the subject of the tour is quite excellent. Added to that are some dashes of humour and making sure that the entire group is kept informed and entertained. We really loved this tour and recommend it highly. Ask for Katerina as your guide, if it is possible.

The group was larger than expected however with hearing-aids we could all the details of our walk very clearly. Our guide knew her history and was quick in her movement and details at both the Cathedral and 'Last Supper 'viewing. With just one day in Milan, this was the perfect tour to give me a great over-view of the major sights of the inner city. Walking is always a great way to experience a city enabling closeup experiences of the sights. The Duomo of course was highlight, as was da Vinci's Last Supper. I spoke to several people who weren't able to get into the Last Supper as it was booked up, so early booking is essential. Our guide was excellent. The weather was pouring rain all day but she altered the tour slightly to accommodate this and ensure we were all as comfortable as possible while she shared her extensive knowledge of her beautiful city. I'd definitely recommend this tour for a great day out.
