Verona is rich in archaeological sites, with a beautiful medieval center. The Roman arena, where concerts and operas are performed in summer, is the city's grandest sight, but 'Juliet's balcony' is the principal point of interest for lovers of Shakespeare. You'll have free time to explore the narrow streets lined with impressive medieval and Renaissance buildings in Verona's historic center.
The beautiful lakeside towns around Lago di Garda have charmed foreign visitors for centuries. The area was a summer resort area for the ancient Romans, and in Sirmione and Desenzano you can visit the ruins and mosaics that record their presence.
The pretty town of Sirmione is on the southern shore of Lake Garda, perched on the end of a long promontory. Sirmione's beautiful setting was praised by the Roman poet Catullus. The town's narrow medieval streets bustle with color and life, and its most striking feature is the moated castle, Rocca Scaligera. Take a wander through a ruined Roman villa and admire archaeological finds - including a charming carving of rabbits in the small museum.
We booked this trip as a secondary trip so we were not expecting too much. But we were more than pleasantly surprised. Verona its very nice town, with beautiful landscapes and buildings, many shops, good restaurants. The Verona guide was really good, very knowledgeable and provided many information. The lake Garda was another nice part of the trip, we didnt take the boat ride after reading other reviews and we were happy we didnt. It gave us more time to enjoy the town and lets say a speed boat its not really our thing. Overall, with the exception of the bus which was not very comfortable, leg room as in a plane all was perfect.

Early start but well worth the effort. Walking tour of Verona is amazing, guide gives you little facts you wouldn't get wandering alone. The main piazza is beautiful place to enjoy a meal and drinks. Garda too was lovely and picturesque. For €10 the boat trip is definitely worth it. Excellent day !

This was a wonderful day spent in the most beautiful part of Northern Italy. After a comfortable drive we arrived in the medieval city of Verona and had an interesting walk through the city. We visited Juliette's balcony which is quite disappointing and rather small and overly touristy. We then visited the Roman amphitheatre which is similar to but smaller than the Colisseum in Rome. Ther are lots of excellent restaurants in Verona and we had a very good lunch. Then it was onto Lake Garda which is very beautiful and scenic. The tour included a boat ride on the lake but it was an uncovered boat and my wife would have been too cold in this type of boat. This was a pity and should be looked at for future trips. Nevertheless we enjoyed a walk through the little town and would definitely recommend this trip to future travelers.

Verona is a really charming city, with unique historical and cultural dimensions. The guide had really good English and could easily be understood, making it more possible to follow up and inform oneself about several features that this city brings, ranging from architectural beauties, to Piazza delle Erbe, to the arena, and the mysterious Juliet balcony. A must do if visiting the Veneto region in Italy!

It was a long day. We had trouble finding the bus, but once we found it all went well. A little more information with the address and the location to find the bus would have been helpful, as we were walking around Milano in the dark, trying to figure it out. Thank goodness for helpful Italians! Tour guide in Verona was outstanding.

The tour was well organized with knowledgeable guides. The local guide in Verona was exceptional! Time was given to enjoy the cities or have a leisurely bite to eat...found a place with great food frequented by locals down a side street in Verona. We were given an option to have a boat ride on Lake Garda. It turned out to be a speed boat going around the peninsula for the old city portion of Sirmione. I would have preferred spending more time walking in the old city.

Loved this tour, what a fantastic tour guide. I got myself into a troubling situation and the tour guide kindly helped me out and resolved the situation, thank you Mauricio! Even gave me tips on what to see in Milan on the way back from this trip. Verona was so pretty, great walking tour. The Lake Garda was very beautiful too, perhaps a bit more time in the Lake Garda would have been better. We were well looked after. Highly recommend this tour!

Bus driver brilliant and polite, bus guide interesting, attentive and quietly protective in the city subtly kept an eye and track of tour members. Verona City guide just exceptional very knowledgeable but more importantly passionate. He grew up in Verona and was very clever and humorous with his delivery. Garda was stunning and the bus brings you to what feels like a very exclusive point of the lake, an area I would never afford to stay so unlikely to see otherwise. _br/_ If you have a spare day during you time in Milan this so worth your money. _br/_ Just like to add me and my partner are 24-25, upon booking were unsure whether the pace might be too slow as we have not done this style trip before, but was very enjoyable. Only slight thing to improve is we would have liked more time to explore the roman ruins in Garda, however this was probably not down to the organisers as we were stuck in traffic due to an accident on the motorway. This lost time may have been exactly what we needed_br/_ All in all brilliant day and certainly a highlight of our trip in North Italy.

Vert comfortable bus. Charged additional 10 euro for the 30 minutes boat cruise. No map was giving, almost got lost. If you really want to enjoy the lake, this day trip is not the one.

This was a fun trip from Milan our guide was very good. Verona is an interesting old city and the city guide was very good. Juliet's house is tacky and touristy but we enjoyed the walk through this old city. The Lake Garda part was a highlight of the trip, especially since we were able to take a short boat ride on the lake. We had some down time in Sirmione and great gelato. Definitely a worthwhile trip.

This was out of this world. Wonderful tour guide Luigi,very professional and the sights are incredible. we also ended in sermonette,very quaint town full of beautiful shops. Felt like Bellagio in lake cuomo,but with a twist. Highly recommend it.

Verona has a lot more to see than just the R and J balcony._br/_ Sirmione castle is cute but we ran out of time shopping so could not try the gelato by the castle.

The bus was not over crowded and the sests all faced forward...I do not like sitting backwards on a bus. Lake Garda is amazing and we got to take a boat for 10 Euros extra...Verona is charming...but very crowded. The tour guide at Verona was good. The Romeo/Juliet thing is silly...

Not really knowing what to expect with this tour. I enjoyed this visit very much. Folks don't talk about Verona as much other locations. This city was incredible, it was sunny and our tour guide in town Francesca walked us around giving incredible viewpoints, commencing with the visit to Juliet's area and statue which was a pleasant mob scene of folks trying to get pictures and around the balcony. Visually a great place to spend more time at some point, in my opinion. Luigi was our main guide and after lunch we went about 30 minutes away to Lake Garda which was an awesome place and visit as well. Once again, it was wonderful to be exposed to these two locations and wonderful areas I'd known very little about. Well worth the time!

We enjoyed this tour thoroughly, but I would have liked to have had more time in Verona. There was no time to visit Juliett's balcony or see her tomb. Verona was very crowded with tourist and a full day in Verona would have been warranted. The trip would be suitable without Lake Garda.
