We had a great time. I recommend taking Dramamine as the road is bumpy and windy. Our tour guide, Winston, was very knowledgeable and enthusiastic. The tour included info about Jamaica and lots of samples of fruit and juices. Lunch was awesome and would highly recommend this tour for something unique.

The tour starts with a trip through the mountains, with narrow roads, lots of turns, large pot-holes, pedestrians, goats and no guard rails. 45 km takes at least 75 minutes. Once you reach the plantation you are given a very interesting tour of the history of the plantation and learn lots of facts. There is a 45 min stroll to see many plants, and a 3 rest stops on the way to sample some fruit. The Jamaican ginger beer can be way stronger than the bottled stuff, and clears out throat and nose congestion very well. Many of the items in the store are made by a local tailor and are very well made and way cheaper than in Montego Bay. I recommend this to all, including those with minor mobility issues. No stairs, the path is fairly level and the hill is not very steep to go from the tour to lunch.

I had an amazing time! The drive kept us safe and did an excellent job getting us there and back! The tour guide was funny and very educational! I learned a lot and the best part was the surprise of visiting a private elementary school! The food at the end that the lovely ladies cooked for us was THE best Jamaican food I have had all my life!!!!! I even got to meet the men on the plantation that worked there and they were very friendly! I would definitely suggest future tourist to book this tour because it was full or history, culture, comedy, and love!!!

Well worth doing. Beautiful plantation with wide variety of fruit grown here, from pineapple to lychee. Lunch was very good too.

The plantation itself way very fun. Lots of different fruit trees/bushes to see. You get to taste lots of different stuff along the way. Everything is clearly marked, clean, and easy to navigate. Our tour guide Alicia was excellent as well.

The bumpy road made me very dizzy. I was going to throw up. I have never had any motion sickness experience before, but this trip was a horrible experience for me. The bus kept moving left and right and left and right. I do not recommend this for pregnant women or elderly people who may not have the physical being for it. The bumpy road to the mountain was not safe at all. At times, I did not dare to look down at the bottom of the mountain. After the driver dropped me off at my hotel, I was dramatized that I had to cancel my plan for a tour for the next day. This was just my experience. Others may be okay with everything. When arrived at the plantation, it was soooo boring because you had to listen to the tour guide constantly talking for 1.5 hrs or who knows how long. They gave you some fruits, but I felt that were not enough fruits to serve everyone. They should make two stations/tables or whatever to expedite the line. Guests were just standing at the fruit table while others were waiting. The buffet was not good at all. The chicken was tasteless. If you like to listen to others for that long, this tour is for you. There twas nothing to see except for a nice quick look at the mountain that's all. It was a wasted of my time and not mentioning about money. 69 was too much for this trip. I prefer to stay at my hotel and read books than going on this tour. My suggestions to improve the tour are below.

Only negative was the bumpy road getting there! Driver, Mr. Brown, was great guy and excellent driver - negotiated the narrow 2 lane roads with great skill and judgement. Tour Guide Winston and his lovely trainee Vanessa were wonderful people making the rip and tour enjoyable and informative._br/_ Plantation was beautiful and interesting. Lunch was delicious. All and all a great half day!

The Croydan Plantation was interesting seeing all the different fruits and plants that grow in Jamaica. The lunch was very good, wished that we could have had seconds. The negative is that the tour lasts 6 to 7 hrs but about 4 or 4 1/2 hrs of it is spent either going to or from the plantation. The roads are terrible, plenty of potholes and very winding roads on the way there. At the end of the day you will feel that you have been in a roller coaster for 4 hours. Our tour guide said to us are you ready for a butt massage today. That should be a forwarning of what to expect.

Not bad, the property is a natural beauty. Saw some interesting plants. I think the best part was the car driver who picked us up to bring us to the plantation.

If you have any interest in the medicinal value of plants, if you enjoy scenic drives in the mountains, if you like to meet kind people then you will enjoy this tour. Hines was our fearless driver and Winston was our wonderful tour guide. _br/_ Winston knows Croydon Plantation very well and did an excellent job of including everyone in the group. Hines did not run over any goats and is the sweetest man! You also get to eat many delicious things!

The trip to Croydon Plantation was very good. Our guide, Alicia, was very knowledgeable as well as a delightful person to converse with. Our driver, Keith was very informative about the Montego Bay area and Jamaican life in general. One suggestion, give Keith a microphone so passengers in the back of the bus won't miss any of his interesting and humorous commentary. The drive to and from the plantation was equally worth the trip and it allowed us to see Jamaican life outside the All-Inclusive.

We enjoyed this tour very much, however, as seniors we found it rather long. It was stated that it would be from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. It was close to 3:30 when we returned to our hotel. The tour guide was very informative and the lunch was excellent.

Entertaining and knowledgeable guide and bus driver. Enjoyed sites along the way, as well as, the fabulous plantation. This tour is for those who will appreciate Jamaican landscapes outside a resort town/city, getting up close and familiar with the plants, including fruits, nuts, flowers, herbs and spices, and coffee production on a plantation. It is also for those who would enjoy sampling freshly picked tropical fruits, and an enjoyable lunch with opportunity to learn while having fun.

one of the most informative tours i have ever been on.We tasted, felt and smelled everything that was grown on this platation.Alisha and Wnston , our two tour guides did a terrific job and we were introduced to the owner of the plantation and were free to ask him questions.I can't say enough about the informative nature of the tour and the hands on approach of the tour.

The Croydon Plantation Tour was such an educational experience. My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed the tour guide's presentation while on the plantation. The entire culture which is so different from ours, opened our eyes and we developed an appreciation for what nature can do at the expense of man's hands. We will never forget our experience. Tasting the different fruits was a bonus.

This was a great excursion - You start off by learning a bit about Jamaica and the plantation, and then they tell you about the coffee and honey production. You get to try fresh pineapple juice, like 10 different kinds of pineapple, and a fresh, hot lunch at the end (complete with Blue Mountain Coffee!). I don't really like pineapple but I loved almost every single kind I tried - it's so fresh here. If you're not into learning or trying new things this probably isn't for you. But otherwise, go for it. We even got to meet the plantation owner. :]

The tour guides were very imformative and knowledgable about the plants on the plantation. This trip is good if you want a lesson on botanicals. Or perfect for an education school trip, not for someone traveling on vacation looking for an adventure. We took our 11 and 14 year old boys and they were not impressed.( Complained of being bored).

This trip was simply amazing! We were pleasantly surprised on how delightful the plantation was. The day started off with a wonderful bus ride by a very friendly and safe driver named Artwell. We then picked up some equally wonderful tour guides, Alicia and Winston...they were a blast....very knowledgeable and funny beyond belief! We arrived at the plantation to be treated to delicious treats, an education and a scrumptious lunch..(thank you Michelle)......we even met the owner...Mr. Hannah...what a sweetheart. All in all it was a marvelous day and we left feeling a little sad...knowing it would be awhile before we meet these lovely folks again...Go...you will be very glad you did!!

This tour was excellent .... we had good drivers, well versed guides and a good lunch on the tour ... the plantation owner greeted us and he chatted individually with most of the people that were on the tour.

From the moment our driver picked us up-we had nonstop fun. Our tour guides were so knowledgeable. The tour was such a hands on tour. You got to see, touch, taste and smell all the different Jamaican grown produce. I was pleasantly surprised when my eight year old son said how much he enjoyed this tour. I would highly recommend this tour.

This was the highlight of our trip...it was great to get away from the resort areas and see how the locals actually live, and the beauty of the countryside is incomparable.

Unless you really like pineapple, don't bother with this trip. It takes you way up into the mountains, where you have about a one-and-a-half-hour tour of the plantation followed by a lunch that isn't very good, and then they make you pay for your beverage. It was crazy hot out, so we had to buy a drink, too.
