The pictures for this sight shows single riders going down what looks like fun safe rapids. When we got there it was a very slow moving river and we were all tied together. I expected adventure and got a nap instead.

Good tour and worth the money. Loved the complementry rum punch. However, it was a 2 hr ride from the hotel. A bit of a hike for a 2hr activity. Would of liked this to be specifoed so that I could of booked 2 tours on the same day to make the trip worth while.

This was a great experience for us. The tour guides were very humorous and did a great job describing the extent of wildlife in Jamaica. It rained heavily, which helped with keeping the bugs down. If it doesn't rain I would highly recommend bug spray. They tied pairs of tubes side by side and in a long chain. This kept anyone from flipping over in the water. It was a nice relaxing tour down through the Jamaican jungle.

This tour was so peaceful and serene and the sun was blazing Hot, but that didn't matter to me at all. As I enjoyed every minute of it. A few bumps here and there but I was still able to keep my eyes on the beautiful plant life surrounding the river. My tour guides name was Shrek, He was very informative and funny too!

Tubing was fun albeit a but mellow. Our guide Ned was really good. We had a lot of personal attention. Cool Falls. The local tour company did a good job but the logistics could have been better with us waiting around for the zip liners to finish. Plus, we were first pick up at the Hilton and last drop off.

Again Chukka Tours and our guide suna were great and knowledgeable. The tour was originally set for Thursday May 21st, but Viator stated they called me on this day before the scheduled pick up time of 11:55 am. This was not true and I never received any calls from viator as I can see incoming calls on my phone. So lying to a customer not a good idea, especially if you want repeat business. Our tour was re-scheduled for Saturday May 23rd and went off without a hitch.

I enjoyed the ride with Teddy, who kept us all entertained and informed and safe. The guides on the river knowledgeable, funny and energetic. However, when I called Chukka to confirm my pick-up time, no one answered; thankfully, I had access to email but the representative told me they didn't have the afternoon pick-up available and I would need to go in the morning (my voucher clearly indicates that I purchased the 1:30 PM tour). Fortunately, I had flexibility in this area. When we got to the location, we were informed that we needed to rent a lock at the cost of FIVE dollars, and the cashier with the attitude frightened us about bug spray, which cost $6. The subsequent pictures were marginal in quality, and overpriced (10 pictures for $30!) The tour itself was fun, and I believe in supporting the employees, but Chukka will nickel and dime you to death.

I brought a group of 20 on this tour and it was so fun. The guides are great. They tie all the tubes together and row you down. So beautiful. Plus the Jungle juice is awesome! LOL. The ride there was a little long but we had a great time.

The tour was pretty, but seemed expensive for what it was. You spend about an hour and half floating lazily down a river and bake in the sun. It is nice if you have a good tour guide who can tell you about all the plants and trees you see but not great if you are looking for an exciting adventure.

The Jungle River Tubing was on the top of my list for things to do in Montego Bay. We are so glad we booked with Viator. The tour was calm and relaxing. We slowly coasted through the beautiful Jamaican jungle. The tour guides made the trip fun. Our group ate lunch at the cafe after our tour. The jerk chicken was sooo delicious!! The whole experience was excellent. Highly recommend the tour if you are looking for something fun and relaxing.

We thought we were going to miss lunch but there was a lunch counter that served jerk chicken fries and hush puppies. This is worth doing if you just want information about the background of Jamaica and be able to relax down a long lazy river. We expected to speed to be a whole lot faster and not be connected to 8 other tubes..pros if you wanted to get out into the water they stopped and gave you a chance to go swim

The tour was relaxing and informative. I would do it again. They give you the option to tube it yourself, but your linked together. I am not a swimmer, so you can believe me. It is relaxing you get a safety briefing and a life vest. The tour guides does all the work paddling you through the river while giving you a little history of Jamacia and the areas surrounding the river. Bring Mosquito repellant, this is offered, but it is not as strong.

My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our trip down the river! Our guide, "Shrek", was very personable, knowledgeable, and skillful. The water was a bit low so no real rapids but we moved along nicely through what I would call a real rain forest. Very relaxing and entertaining!

This trip was awesome - the water is cool and fresh, they take you through a part of the jungle where you step into a smaller river and take you to a waterfall, and the guides are really funny. It downpoured that day and it was STILL our favorite excursion on our trip! :]

The tubing trip on the Great River was fantastic! It was through Chuka Tours from Negril. About a 2 hour bus ride, but the scenery inland was beautiful so worth the time. The tubing itself was great. We got on the tubes which were tied together in 8s. Our guide, JR, was so cool. He gave us a great account of the history of Jamaica and the immediate area as we floated down the river, even trying to teach us a bit of the Jamaican Patois language. There was great banter between our tube barge and another one lead by Shrek. Mostly the river was calm, then you would encounter some mild rapids and were told to "raise your butt" lest you have bruises the next day. At the end of the floating we climbed into Safari trucks for the ride back to where we started. The ride was hysterical if you don't mind bouncing out of your seat the entire ride. We were laughing so hard. The facility where the tour starts and ends is nice - food, lockers for your stuff, gift shop, and clean restrooms. Tip your guide because they deserve it! I would go again in a heart beat!!

Went on this tour in late April. Not the rainy season so the river was down. Down so much in fact that the guides needed to pull you down the river in many area's where water level is low. They keep the tubing fun and overall it was a nice ride down the river. They said when the water is high it only takes 15 min to ride the river. It took us almost an hour with the water so low, no real flow I.E. need to be pulled by guides.
