On this walking tour you will visit traditional restaurant to try authentic Indian Cuisine. The price includes all food and drinks served at the restaurants. Along the way, an English-speaking guide will explain tradition's behind Mumbai food and culture and advise on local specialties. Your local guide will guide you with Language and Translation, while providing Interesting fact's about Mumbai's history, culture and customs.
The tour begins by enjoying delicious Indian snacks and later North-Indian inspired appetizers in South Bombay's neighborhood. After appeasing your palate, make your way to the Fort District to enjoy cuisine inspired by India's coastal regions, where the food is mildly spiced all the while retaining a balanced flavor. Travel to the final destination, where you'll experience one of Mumbai's British-era restaurants for the main course. Walk through several historical sites, including St Thomas Cathedral and the Asiatic Library, and many more. On the we shall also serve you quite a few local delicacies, so Come hungry, that's the only requirement.
Once your stomach has been satisfied, end the tour with a dessert that will pacify your sweet tooth.
Although our chef guide couldn't make it, we had Ganesh showing us around. This was clearly communicated in advance with us and we were also given the opportunity to cancel. Glad we didn't. Ganesh was very knowledgeable and very accommodating. Told us all about the food and all about Mumbai. Highly recommended. Thanks for a great evening.

Guide was very nice, and prompt and communicative day-of, but the tour was pretty mediocre. If you're looking for a chill stroll to eat some basic foods, this is probably fine, but if you want to learn about Mumbai food culture and flavors and eat interesting food, I wouldn't bother. Went to I think 5 places max, maybe only 4, 2 more places we went to were closed. Got chicken and paneer tikka at a restaurant, which is the most boring food you could get in India and certainly don't need a tour to eat it. DIdn't get vada pav at all. When asked about the history of Mumbai cuisine/spices the reason I booked the tour with a chef, I didn't get much more than it's an amalgamation of different cultures. Tour was also crazy over-priced- I think it was just because I was on the tour on my own, but the site said tour would be in AC sedan so I expected a more professional tour, and tour was definitely walking only. Had a food tour in another city for same price where we stopped at maybe 12 different places plus full dinner, traveled by car to certain stops, went on a rickshaw, etc. After the tour my friend in Mumbai took me out for some more interesting Mumbai dishes :-

Enjoyed this a lot. An interesting variety of food, including some items bought on impulse from food stalls. The guide included trips by Tuk-Tuk, and old Ambassador taxi, and a train ride. Recmmended.

A wonderful experience with a delightful young man. He told us he would show us India on a plate and it was not an idle boast. Food was very tasty and interesting, showing the enormous diversity of Mumbai's cultural and food heritage. This is a street-level tour that will show you how people really eat in Mumbai. Highly recommended!
