Definately worth doing and a cheap way to see Munich. Worth the money, bus was warm during the winter.

Great way to get around Munich and get your sense of direction at the start of your trip!

Always use the Hop On Hop Off when away on holidays. Got a good look around of Munich and surrounds. Saw all the places I wanted to see and got off for further exploration at a couple of places.

The trip was good in order to get a feeling for the layout of the city. A lot of the major sites are relatively close together. Nonetheless, for 1st visit its a good way to get a feel for the city.

An excellent way to get acquainted with the city as it spread out. We bought a 2 day pass and it was our main transport especially to the BMW factory museum. We included a lot of walking around Marienplatz. Good value for 2 days if you have the time

Good tour but given we had just got off a 23 hr flight didnt get the full benefit

The Munich City Hop-on-Hop-off tour was very useful for us. We took the 2 day pass and we could stop whenever we like and continue the following day. I would definitely recommend this when in Munich.

Visited Munich from 19 to 23 October 2017. As I had already purchased tickets for other tours out of Munich before I left Australia, I only had time for a one day hop on/off ticket. My advice is to do the hop on/off bus as soon as you arrive in Munich to get the feel of the city and understand where places are. My hop on/off experience was great, although a little wet in the morning. The 'English' audio was great too. High recommended that everyone do these hop on/off tours in European Cities._br/_ Eric P - Maryborough Qld Australia

This was a good way to see a spread out city. The audio commentary was not very helpful.

This tour was pretty average but still worth doing if you don't too much interaction or want a nice chill trip around the city. We found we could get to most of the places just by walking so the hop-on/off concept is a bit less useful.

Was a very nice loop. We didn't really have time to get off at a lot of stops as we had many tours booked in Munich. We did get off at Nymphenburg Palace and had a look at the gardens.

Hop-on Hop-off is great way to know/get used to the city. Once you take the bus, i recommend walking or getting to sights that you want to visit. I would recommend to go Hop-on Hop-off tour to anyone visiting the new city for 1st time.

The Hop-on Hop-off Tours are really the way to see Munich!

Good tour but just what you would expect. Canned recording. But, gets you a quick overview of the City then you can go to the Hofbrau for a beer.
Review by: Wilma S, September 2017
Our thought from the description was that there was a single grand tour bus that took over 2 hours to see the major sights. Our plan was to take the bus and then go to the areas we wanted to check out further. In fact though there are two separate buses so you must do one loop and then the other. I was expecting more discussion of the sights and the area, but it was a recording that was sometimes in sync with where we were, but many times not because of traffic. I was hearing about sights I couldn't see and by the time we got there were on to another audio description. So, not the best way to hear about Munich.

We missed the tour since trains were not working due to Main station remodeling and we had a hard time finding a way to get to the bus stops.

Changing your voucher for the first tour I ticket was organised chois. The tour drivers were very friendly overall. There are actually two tours, one to the Nymphenburg Palace, Olympic Park etc was okay but unfortunately the English description was very basic and there was competition with the German loudspeaker, enjoyed the palace and gardens which is very popular and the Olympic Park and Tower were worth doing._br/_ The second tour was a silent tour around the city with no announcements of where you were or what the beautiful statues and majestic old buildings were. May have been able to spend more time at the city stops but did not know where to get off as the stopping points may not be close by to what the stop is named. I should have done my own homework here but was very disappointed at the bus lack of information.

Unfortunately, it was a cloudy day in Munich, so the top of the bus was covered with a plastic top. Hard to see sites from the bus itself. The staff was great and the route was very good.

This was a terrific way to see Munich and learn a lot about the history and layout of this beautiful city. The bus stops were in very convenient locations and made it easy for us to get around the city.

My husband and I booked the 24 hour pass Grand Tour and it was the perfect way to tour around Munich and to see all the key areas tourists usually see. Some buses will stay at a stop for 10-15 minutes but some will just drop you off and go to the next stop but there are constant buses of the same company driving by and it's not a long wait. The buses are dark blue with white writing on it and are double decker buses.

This is a great way to see the extended city and decide what you want to see in depth. The inner loop stops you can easily walk to and the bus is not necessary unless you have disabilities. The extended loop to the palace and BMW building was more informative and you see venues that you can not easily walk to in the city proper.

Review by: Wayne T, November 2016
We had trouble finding the correct bus. The Munich red hop on hop off is not the line you ride. We wound up on the Grayline bus after asking several people. This should have been made clearer in the voucher or tour description. The buses stopped running early in the day, about 4:30 PM. I understand they run later during the peak summer season. We wound up walking or calling a taxi in the afternoons. I would not book this particular tour again.

We like to take these tours whenever we are in a new city. They provide a great overview of what is available to visit. We often stay on the whole route and then pick our stops the next go round.

Best way to get to Nymphenburg summer palace. Worth hopping off to see inside of castle and the royal coach and sleigh museum._br/_ Buy the Munich museum pass to have entry for up to five people to all palaces and museums without additional entry fees. _br/_ Pass works for all castle and museums within the day trip area. Thus, no need to purchase a trip with entry fees included such as to Neuschwanstein.

This is the best way to explore Munich as every stop will leave you at a key attraction and you manage to have a good overview about the city the first time you visit it. Really recommended!! My favourite stops were the Allianz Arena and the royal palace- it is really fantastic to have a walk in that garden!! 5 stars- thanks Viator

Commentary hard to follow as guide speaks continually in different languages. A good way of getting your bearings around the city if you have limited time and need to get to places fairly quickly. Otherwise, easy walking throughout the city.

We road both the inner circle and outer circle tour. Nice way to see the city from a very good guide. I would recommend to do both and then decide where you are going to visit the rest of the time you are in Munich.
