See Pompeii’s ancient piazza and Forum, where business dealings, elections, speeches and processions would have played out during Roman times. Wander the site, marvel at the ancient limestone columns still standing today and capture the centuries-old scenery on camera. Continue onward with your guide to the thermal baths, where many of the townsfolk would have bathed, chatted and lived out their daily lives before the eruption. Wander down Via degli Augustali and discover the Lupanare, Pompeii’s brothel. A 2-storey building with five rooms on each floor, the Lupanare is decorated with some of the city’s most lustful frescoes. Explore the Casa dei Vettii (Vetti's House), a luxury residence in the town. Careful excavation has revealed a number of beautiful frescoes on the walls of the house, evidence of the wealth and stature of its former inhabitants. The meeting location was easy to get to from the train station. However, the tour supplier could have done a much better job organizing things in advance. The bus ride to Pompeii provides enough time to give out the headsets and test them vs wasting your time in Pompeii. The tour was interesting but very crowded. Since it was the same tour company, they should have staggered times few minutes as to allow the people on the tours to see things without being rushed or unable to hear because of the other tour groups.

We did this tour in April. With such large numbers of tourists the company did a good job of organising us and were very helpful. Overall it is a professionally facilitated tour and you get the main headlines about Pompei in half a day as you walk around the city ruins. Dont expect customised service or time to reflect, ask questions or have personal interactions with the guide because they have a fixed formula and strict timetable to adhere too. Be prepared for crowds at every turn or go in a low season if there is such a season at all!.

Again, very crowded because we visited during Easter week, some locations, like the bath/sauna were too crowded and you could hardly move. Our tour guide did her best to ensure we stayed together and provided good information about the venue. Visiting Pompeii is a remarkable event.

We took the train from Rome to Naples where we met the tour right across the street from the train station. They were waiting with a sign, so were easy to find. The short trip to Pompeii was fine and the tour was helpful for a first time visit on a very cloudy and misty day. If I return to Pompeii, would probably do my own exploring since this tour pointed out the highlights. Our guide was very knowledgeable and gave us time to explore a bit and take pictures. I wish we had time for the museum there and small gift shop as opposed to the street vendors._br/_ Would recommend.

An amazing tour. I highly recommend it. Being picked up at the train station/Star Hotel which are across the street from each other to be shuttled to Pompeii was a big reason we chose this tour. Our tour guide was knowledgeable about Pompeii, the eruption of Vesuvius, and the excavation of the site. I appreciated that she explained that the prostitutes in the infamous brothels were slave, many as young as twelve, and that most died by the time they were twenty. It took the bawdiness out of it.

There were several issues. 1. Coordinating the pick up at the hotel needs to improve. The touring company need to call or email the tourist instead of having the tourist call the touring company to schedule a pick up. The tourist is from a foreign country and arriving in Naples, checking in the hotel and have to call the touring company is too much. We arrived in Naples late due to snow and the touring company is already close and no voicemail. They don't open until 8:30 am the next day and the pick up starts at 10:00 am. We were in a panic, not know if we were going to be pickup. At the end of the tour, we had to wait over an half of hour to allow someone not one from our group to ride with us back to Naples. That someone did not show up. The driver had to speed to go back to Naples to be on time.

It was great to be able to meet the tour bus at the airport, and have them keep our luggage while we went on the Pompeii tour. And then the bus dropped us and our bags off at the ferry which was super helpful! The tour was a great way to see Pompeii, as the guide took us to the most important places. Without a tour, we probably would have been wandering aimlessly in the maze and would have missed some key things. I would definitely recommend this!

Minibus arrived at our hotel on time and took us to the site where we met our guide, Maria. Maria took us right round the site avoiding queues and explained everything we were seeing in a very knowledgeable and interesting way. At the end of the tour we were driven back to our hotel.
