Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum

Nashville, United States of America

The Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum isn’t just a museum, it’s an experience, an exciting and entertaining destination in Nashville with something for everyone. Rhinestone costumes, seasoned instruments and tear-stained lyric sheets are only the beginning. Add incredible architecture along with famous southern hospitality, and a day at the museum turns into the memories of a lifetime. Savor a southern meal at Two Twenty-Two Grill & Catering and finish off the day by shopping at our Museum Store.

Real stories that must be told - that’s what you'll experience at the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum. Start your journey through country music history with Sing Me Back Home: The Journey Begins, Folk Roots to the 1960s. This exciting multi-layered experience tells the story of country music’s humble folk roots, and tracks its evolution into the 1960s.

In 2010, the museum opened an all-new exhibit experience, expanding on Sing Me Back Home with Dreaming My Dreams: The Journey Continues, 1960s to the Present. This expansion included the addition of hundreds of new artifacts and multimedia elements that focus on country music’s recent history.

The history comes to life with every era of country music represented.

My husband had a walker and when he needed to sit down people would walk in front of him standing so he could not see the displays. Would not recommend for a handicap person.

This was very good. A fun, self-directed walking tour. Especially appreciated the area dedicated to the collaboration between Johnny Cash and Bob Dylan, and the areas featuring the roots and history of country western music.

If you are a country music fan which I am NOT, this is the place to see. The outside is designed to look like the keys of a piano which is cool. Lots of walking around but no spots to really sit I am mobility impaired and standing for long periods of time is hard for me. Nevertheless, cool place. I think getting the audio tour which we didn't know about booking online would probably be better.

I was amazed at the amount of history past and current in one location. The highlight of the museum was listening to the singers / songwriters that performed on Saturday morning. It was free admission and they were fantastic!

Memories of past recording artists were stimulated by this impressive exhibit of top musicians. It was like a stroll down Memory Lane without the reminder of my true age!

I didn't like it much , I didn't know many of the singers but had to book this to be able to go to RCA studios, which was great.

The Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum was great except it more country music legends/history than new age/90s (my era) stuff. It was nice seeing Elvis and Jonny Cash memorabilia, just less of it and more from the 90s and newer. All in all it was a fun experience, but not worth the $25, more like $15
