Nashville Showboat Lunch or Dinner Cruise on the General Jackson
Nashville, United States of America
Board one of the country’s largest paddle-wheel boats for a spectacular lunch or dinner cruise down Nashville’s Cumberland River! Relax and admire views from the decks, indulge in a Southern meal and enjoy live entertainment including talented musical performers, dancers and comedy.
After pickup from your Nashville hotel, board the General Jackson Showboat, one of the largest paddle-wheel boats in the country, and travel down the Cumberland River. This grand vessel was designed to recreate the showboats that plied the waters of American rivers in the 19th century.
Admire views of the Nashville landscape as you relax on the indoor or outdoor decks. In the beautiful Victorian theater on board, you’ll feast on a traditional Southern meal. For sample lunch and dinner menus, see the Itinerary section below.
You’ll then be treated to live entertainment! On the lunch cruise, enjoy a comedy production full of classic Southern humor. On the dinner cruise, enjoy a live orchestra accompanied by a dynamic cast of dancers in elaborate costumes.
After your cruise, you'll be taken back to your hotel.
The entertainment was wonderful and the lunch buffet was excellent. Had a wonderful time. Recommended it to others. Also posted on Facebook what a great time to be had and recommended it with pictures. Had feed back from people who said they will book it when they visit Nashville.

The lunch cruise was supposed to include transportation to and from my hotel in downtown Nashville. However, I was told transportation was not available due to it being Veterans Day. I had to provide my own transportation to and from the cruise. While I had no problem arranging car service, there should have been a reduction in the price. Tickets at the Nashville Showboat Lunch Cruise ticket booth were 60 each. This is much less than I paid and not consistent with the companys lowest price guarantee.

Absolutely take this tour. We were the evening cruise the lights of Nashville are spectacular at night. The meal is excellent...served family style. Entertainment was very good. The only drawback was a shortage of seating for cocktail hour before dinner and show.

Touristy! Staff very nice and helpful. Food better than expected. Entertainers worked/tried hard but unfortunately lacked talent. Sounds were as tinny as they get.

The beverages are very expensive and the food was OK, but nothing fantastic for the price. The show was entertaining.

What a wonderful time. The show was a lot of fun. Seeing the evening skyline of the city was something that should not be missed. the food was good too.

Excellent music, food, and sights!

An extremely enjoyable experience and an excellent way to get awesome pictures of the Nashville skyline._br/_ If you opt for the tour of the Captain's bridge, however, do not stay too long there, as you will be very late for your meal and you will be the only people eating at your table while everyone else is enjoying the show. Also, be timely to your table as the tables are round and no one wants the seats with their backs to the stage. Ann from Connecticut

As the place we were staying was not on the bus pickup list when booking we opted out. We arrived 1 hour ahead of departure so we could be first on board and the printed ticket we had was not accepted. We had to wait for the bus to arrive at which time we would get our actual ticket. The bus was late arriving and we were in a small group of people who were then last to board. We missed early entertainment and there was no seating for us until dinner was ready. We were never advised that the printed ticket we were emailed would not be accepted. This was a huge disappointment for us as well as several others.

The show was great, Seats were right by the stage and saw the performers. Loved being able to sit outside and relax while some of the band members played again.

The show part of the experience was very good.... the meal, not so much at least for the price one had to pay. The constant effort at the beginning to get you to upgrade your experience was disgusting and cheapened the whole event. I really don't think I could encourage my friends to spend their money on this.

The river was beautiful

The showboat entertainment, food, staff and amenities were excellent._br/_ The transportation provided to the showboat was very poor. We were_br/_ on a van that had no working gauges including speedometer and the _br/_ driver had to guess the gas levels ,etc.

The hotel pick up and drop off was great, it really takes off some of the anxiety. We were there on a very cold and windy day but but didn't let it ruin the fun. The music and the show was GREAT, the food served family style with a lazy Susan in the middle of each table. It was a good opportunity to meet and talk with others. Because the wind was so bad that night the boat never left the dock. Still turned out to be a full night of fun.

This was a great cruise and show. I would highly recommend this to anybody visiting Nashville. The show inside the main showroom was fantastic and the smaller performance on the top desk on the way back was great as well.

Very enjoyable. Everything was extremely well organised and all the people we met were extremely friendly._br/_ It was a great day out!
Review by: nancy a, October 2016
I do not recommend this. Here is why:_br/_ 1 It was wildly overpriced at 110 per person dinner cruise and not worth it. Doesn't even include a soft drink._br/_ 2 The food is not at all good and was cold as well. _br/_ 3 Though the show was great, we were at the very back of the boat partial view of the stage even though we booked with Viator one week in advance. _br/_ 4 By the time our food came last table, we had to rush through dinner in order to get outside at 8:15pm to 'see Nashville from the deck'. _br/_ 5 Waiters are a bit obtrusive as well.

Our transportation arrived 50 minutes after the designated time and still had 2 more picks ups before heading out to the General Jackson. Last group to arrive in the dark. Were unable to see the showboat. Boat was over crowded and chaotic. Very little assistance from the boat staff. Food was fair. Lost the entire effect of the showboat which was the real reason for booking the tour. Have major reservations about recommending this tour.

We enjoyed the dinner cruise. The pick up service was timely, the food was good and the show was great. We would recommend it to those looking for a pleasant, trouble free evening. Added bonus was we had a very nice evening.

This was great. Food was OK, waiters were awesome. Entertainment was great. Someone needs to discover those kids. They did an awesome job. It was pretty cold in the dining room so bring a sweater if you don't like cold. Would have liked more time outside, but our bus was late and I think that is why. Trip home was long on the bus. They need more drivers. Had a great time.
