Ever wanted to snorkel with sharks? On this adventure you'll swim with schools of colorful fish in the shallows of Nassau's famous reefs. Then, if your fellow passengers have the nerve, it's off to snorkel with one of the most magnificent and misunderstood creatures of the sea - sharks!
Just minutes after leaving Nassau you'll be snorkeling through an undersea extravaganza of living coral and tropical marine life. Your captain will choose two of the clearest and calmest locations on the day to begin your snorkeling adventure.
Then, if the weather permits, you'll go for a snorkel with your guide as sharks swim calmly below you. Or, if you prefer, you can watch the sharks being fed from the boat. Sharks are one of the most fascinating marine animals you will ever see, and on this cruise you'll see them up close and personal in perfect safety.

We LOVED this adventure! This was our first trip that included snorkeling in the open ocean. We brought our own gear and were glad to have it. We were taken to two different reefs the first one was much better with regard to numbers/variety of fish as well as coral selections. Be prepared, you are expected to jump off the side of the rocking boat into the ocean AND stay close enough to hear the call/whistle when it's time to come in. I will admit that I was so enthralled with my exploratoins that I was too far away to hear anything and only noticed that I was the only one left in the water when I saw the full boat. Oops. The last stop was a chance to slip into the water while holding onto a rope while sand sharks were gathered around a tube filled with bait. They are bottom feeders but it was a major head rush to have sharks a few feet below you as you floated on the surface of the ocean watching them through your snorkel mask. Would highly recommend!

This tour is made by the Stuart Cove company, if you book this through their website it will be MUCH cheaper, we payed $40 too much just by booking through viator. This was not 5hours, we were out max 3 hours with the boat. You get to see alot of fish and sharks! Buy the extra fish food, worth it!

Part of my concern about the safety of this trip is due to the weather. We left in a pouring rain, and shortly there was lightning striking all around us. Had we been offered our money back if we returned to dock, I think we would have gladly accepted it. We were eventually able to snorkel when the thunderstorm died down. We didn't see as many fish as I'd hoped - maybe the weather affected them as well. I enjoyed seeing the sharks as the last part of our tour.

It was a great snorkeling tour. The staff were very friendly and professional. We had 3 stops. The 1st have the most fish and a very beautiful reef. The 2nd had underwater statues with a few less fish but still enjoyed it. The 3rd stop was to see the sharks. They lower a basket deep into the water and monitor the sharks and after a safety briefing, we enter the water for 3-5 mins with the sharks swimming below us by the bait box. Felt very safe. After everyone is out of the water, the bait box is brought to the surface and you get to see the sharks at the surface. I liked that as much as being in the water. Our Captain was Christopher. Top Notch. and Gabriella was one of the guides also top notch and I forgot the other gals name who was great as well. We were fortunate enough to have a dive instructor on board and he is the one that feeds the sharks on the excursion for divers, he shared is vast knowledge about the sharks and their behavior. He really added to the trip and I would love to visit him again if we can make it back to Nassau sometime.

Had a great time. Compared to other snorkelling tours we did in Nassau, this one was way better managed, with tons of actual snorkeling time thanks to the easy way to get off and on the boat. The staff was very friendly and basically allowed you to choose the amount of assistance you wanted, compared to the hand holding approach of many other places. This allows every group to separate a bit and safely snorkel how they want.

These guys are great. Cpt. Christopher was a pro and Kareem sp? was very patient with all of the excited/distracted tourists he was wrangling. We saw a lot of fish and a few sharks. It was just scary enough. I would go out with them again in a minute.

Great day of snorkeling! We went to 3 different sites, and saw a lot of species at first site along with a sea turtle. Not as many species of fish at second site, but more interesting coral formations. Third site was shark encounter. A can of chum was lowered in about 15 - 20 feet of water to attract reef sharks. We held onto a safety line attached to boat and floated on surface while sharks swam below us. Very safe shark encounter and a great excursion.

my boyfriend and I truly enjoyed this snorkeling trip. We visited two snorkel sites and had the option of swimming with the sharks! I personally did not put on my mask and snorkel much due to a bit of claustrophobia wearing the mask, but I still had fun swimming with my boyfriend in the beautiful water. My boyfriend snorkeled and dove his heart out at each site, and enjoyed getting an up-close with the sharks. The staff was incredibly knowledgeable, and they were particularly accommodating seeing as we accidentally booked our ticket for the wrong date and they still fit us in when we wanted to go! We did invest in wetsuit rentals from Stuart Cove 10 each and it was totally worth it the water is warm, but it gets very cold once you're back on the boat! Overall, I'd recommend this to anyone who wants a fun and relaxing day trip.

A great trip from start to finish! The staff was very helpful and courteous. We made two stops to snorkle and then one stop to see sharks. It was great that conditions were right to be able to see ocean atlas which was very impressive. We would definitely use stuarts cove again in the future!

The trip was a combined snorkeling and SNUBA trip. Most of the attention fell on the people participating in the SNUBA diving. We only got to visit 2 of the 3 sites due to the choppy water, and did not get to swim with the sharks. Also, the trip went from about 10am - 2pm, so not the full 5 hours as advertised. All and all the staff were friendly, the equipment was good, and we enjoyed the experience.

The group was beginning diverssnubasnorkelers. Three snorkeling sites - the first was with the sculpture, it was more for the beginning divers and the snuba people, it was long and uneventful for us, not much to see. The second was in the coral reef, it was a lot of fun to snorkel with the fishes. The last one was probably 5 minutes dip with the sharks, we were told to hold the rope and move our fins to pretend to be fish so the sharks dont come to investigate. The little girl next to me panicked and the tour guy helped her. They are very good and attentive. Overall, it was fun!

Very good tour - booked outside of Carnival. Early tour was stressful to get to because of Carnival docking time. If you are coming off of a larger boat, you will probably not make the shuttle and it is a bit confusing getting out of the fenced in area to the meeting zone a circular fountain across the street from the normal exit. After all of the stress of making the shuttle, our boat was held up by a carnival excursion group anyways. That was the frustrating part because it cut some of our snorkel stops shorter. However, it was still plenty of time to snorkel. The shark snorkel was really fun and not scary at all. The scared people are the worst part of that stop.

If you are cruising, do not book this excursion unless your ship will arrive at the dock at 7:30 Eastern Time or earlier. Our ship arrived at the scheduled 8:00 time, and we were off the ship and over to bus area at 8:20. There were two Stuart Cove buses, one of which was full. That bus left, and we got on the second bus. My party of six and another party of two sat on that bus for one hour and 20 minutes waiting for it to fill up with more passengers. The snorkeling tour starts at 9, so you have no chance to make it, a point that was not brought up to me when I contacted Stuart before the trip asking where to catch the bus. Once we arrived at Stuarts around 10:15, they did carry us out to the already ongoing snorkel group, but by that time we had missed the first stop, and half of the second. This tour had three total stops, unlike others who get four. So in total my group got 1.5 stops at the full price. Not happy with that at all, and no offer of partial reimbursment was made.

Great bang for your buck! Transportation was easy, tour operators picked up and dropped off at our hotel. Easy check-in, boat was not too crowded, equipment was up to par. We had plenty of time in the water to snorkel. Our 9 and 11 year old had a blast! Staff was great. Would recommend this trip to anyone!

Best day in the Bahamas. Picked up at hotel and drove 45 minutes to site. Driver played video on the trip and gave a history lesson of the island. Even dropped us off at the fish fry on our way back. Snorkeling was amazing. Swimming with sharks at the end was awesome. Ship and #39;s Captain was wonderful.

The tour was cool, but it certainly was not 5 hours, and there was no shipwreck. We stopped at 3 sites the first was a small reef, near the island where Pirates of the Caribbean was show, which was pretty cool because there were a ton of fish and we stayed there for about 30 minutes. The second stop was another reef, which was much larger with a really cool drop off. Allegedly, there was a cave further out onto the reef, and we were told to go check it out, but we were only there for about 15-20 minutes so we didn't even get there. The last stop was the sharks. They put a line out from the boat and one by one we swam out onto the line, all facing the same direction, and looked down on 10-12 Caribbean reef sharks who swam around a bait box. We were in the water for 6-7 minutes, then we got back on the boat, they fed the sharks for a few minutes and we left. _br/_ We left downtown Nassau around 8:30, got to Stuart Cove's at 9:15 and the boat didn't start to move until after 10. We were back at our hotel by 1:30, and it's a 45 minute drive back, so we were really only out on the ocean for 2 1/2 hours. Nowhere close to the 5 hours we were promised._br/_ The captain and the other staff were all very nice and knowledgeable, the boat was in good shape, the equipment was good, but it wasn't what I paid for.

Our snorkel in the Bahamas was awesome. We were late getting off our cruise due to customs clearance. Stuarts cove went above and beyond to get us hooked up with our tour. They took the 5 of us out on a zodiac to catch up with the snorkel boat. We had 2 dives and saw plenty of fish and the 3rd dive was the shark area. We decided to not jump in but when they brought the feeding bucket to the surface we saw plenty of sharks.

This was the highlight of our trip to Bahamas with our 3 daughters, ages 14,11 and 8.... We didn't have a large group with us on the boat, so it was great to make new friends. The reefs were beautiful and the stop with the reef sharks with absolutely amazing. The staff was incredible from pick up to drop off, especially the the 3 crew members on the boat. Booking with Viator was simple and easy. I HIGHLY recommend this trip. If we did it at the beginning of our vacation we would have done it twice!
