Private Full-Day Bob Marley Excursion from Negril

This full day Bob Marley Reggae tour will take you to all of the late singer’s popular hangouts. The tour includes a trip through the picturesque mountains into Nine Mile village and to Hope Road in Jamaica’s capital, Kingston. The guided tour will offer you an intimate view into the life and times of the reggae legend. Wear comfortable walking shoes and casual clothing for the tour.

Your tour guide will meet you at your Negril hotel lobby where you will board an air-conditioned vehicle. The first stop is through the beautiful hills of St. Ann to the remote village of Nine Mile. Enjoy the tropical rainforest views while your driver gives you information about Jamaica. The drive takes about an hour and 30 minutes. 

The hour and a half tour of Nine Mile tour includes a stop at the birth and resting place of late reggae legend, Bob Marley. Traipse out to Mount Zion, the spot where Marley drew his inspiration for his songs. Visit the nearby Ethiopian church where his body has been laid to rest with his guitar. A Rastafarian tour guide will be available to guide you around the property and answer any questions. You will have the opportunity to view the room Marley slept in as a young child and then as an adult when he would return for his “cooling out” visits. The rock he used as a pillow, upon which he would sometimes write his songs, is still there. 

After the Nine Mile tour, experience the greenery of the untouched mountains on your way to Hope Road in Kingston. Grab your camera and snap photos of the Victorian style house Marley lived in as an adult after buying it from his manager, Chris Blackwell, in 1974. The house is also the home of "Tuff Gong Studios." View his records, awards, pieces of clothing, and other artifacts from his life.
