One of our favorite activities in New Orleans! We had Julie and she was so funny and knowledgable. This is enough food for a big lunch and it is all delicious!

This was one of our favorite tours during our visit to New Orleans. Pat was our instructor and she was fantastic! They had a mirror above her cooking station so you could see exactly what she was cooking. She had a great personality and sense of humor and answered a lot of questions as she explained the history of New Orleans cooking. The chicken and sausage gumbo was my favorite dish and was delicious! The Jambalaya was very good and not sticky or clumpy at all. The pralines and banana foster were a great ending to the class. I also really enjoyed the lemonade and beer that was served. I wasn't a huge fan of the hard biscuits served in the beginning of the class though. I highly recommend this tour as you'll get a few good laughs, knowledge of some great history, and some amazing food!

Everyone we asked before going to New Orleans shared the food is great. What better to do than to take a cooking class and this class was outstanding. We were shown how to make gumbo, jambalaya, and pralines. WOW! Not only did it look easy to make, but it was very flavorful and delicious. Now the proof will be making it at home, which is the next step. Highly recommend this experience to take home.

Pat was adorable. Not only did we learn to cook gumbo, jambalaya, bread pudding and pralines, we learned the history of how different countries contributed to make these delicious dishes.

This demonstration was a fun way to spend a few hours, however if you are in a large class you will find it difficult to hear the instructor at times and if you are a seasoned cook you may find some of the information provided to be on the basic skill set side. Its a shame the demonstration classes are so large as if they were slightly smaller in size you may get more out of the 2.5 hours. Having said that, you get to try the food that has been cooked and also get the recipes to take home with you which is a nice touch.

Great experience in this cooking class. We had so much to eat, which I wasn't expecting. Everything was delicious and the chef was informative and funny. Had fun shopping after for spices and a terrific wooden spoon.

It was not interactive and I expected it to be. Maybe I missed this in the enrollment on line, thus could be my mistake, none the less I was disappointed. He also gave us a two hour history less versus a cooking lesson. Although, it was interesting, it is not what I desired to do. I truly desired to learn to cook the menu items. I learned very little if anything in the class that I did not already know.

Super class demo and you are fed what was professionally cooked. Different day, different menu...but always appy, main and dessert based on New Orleans cooking. Water, tea and beer included along with an interesting chef...don't miss it classes at 10-12 or 2-4 as well as smaller cook it yourself classes.

We enjoyed the cooking class. The chef was entertaining. In addition to showing us how to prepare three dishes which my wife enjoyed, he was able to explain the historical context behind how the dishes were developed over time which I enjoyed. We were served gumbo, jambalaya, and pecan pie enough food that we decided not to go for dinner after, as originally planned. A fun way to spend an afternoon in New Orleans.
