With your minivan transport taken care of, you can sit back and relax as you take a beautiful drive through the French and Italian rivieras. You’ll have a couple of hours to shop in the Italian markets, and you’ll stop for lunch (not included) in Ventimiglia. This small-group day trip is limited to eight people, so you can be sure you’ll receive personalized service from your English-speaking guide
Italy's colorful markets are famous for their leather goods, accessories, luggage and fashion. Shop to your heart’s content on this small-group day trip from Nice to the markets of the Italian Riviera. After complimentary pickup from your Nice hotel, sit back and enjoy the gorgeous drive along the Mediterranean coast as you leave the French Riviera and cross the border into Italy. You’ll travel by minivan, limited to just eight passengers, ensuring you receive personalized attention from your English-speaking guide.
You’ll normally have about a couple of hours to shop in the markets. You'll also stop for lunch by the beach in Ventimiglia, where Guiseppe's to taste the best pasta in the region (not included in tour price).
As you drive back to the French Riviera along the coastal road, you'll drive through charming Menton, known as the "pearl of France." After a brief stop to walk through the old town, you'll continue along the spectacular High Corniche road, stopping for a photo opportunity of the view over Monaco.
A good tour for a chance to see places like Menton and Cap Martin. The Italian market in San Remo is avoidable as it is more a flea market.

The weather was awful that day, so our guide improvised throughout the day. The Markets were canceled that day, but we did make it to Italy and had a fabulous lunch and then some small village walking tours. The other couple with us had never been to Monaco, so we traveled there and they were able to see the casino in Monte Carlo and part of the country of Monaco. We didn't get to the markets, but had a great time anyway.

Our tour guide Adrianne was the best, she couldn't have been more helpful and knowledgeable. Highly recommend this tour, Cappuccino with pain Chocolat at the San Remo market and mussels/escargot for lunch in Menton so good.

The tour was fun. I wish we had a smaller group, some of the facts that we were being told along the way were hard to hear when sitting in the back of the van. Matilda did a wonderful job, but the first market we stopped at was not as great as expected. There were some interesting goods to purchase but we also saw many things made in China and the men walking around selling Rolex watches were annoying. All-in-all it was a good time and we got to see places we would have otherwise not been able to see.

Our guide was lovely and very informative she gave us lots of information about the history of the ares we were visiting. The only criticism I would make is that some more direction could have been given at Sanremo and Menton. The idea of free time is good, if all you want to do is to shop at the market but if no personal guide is offered at these drop off points at least a map with the points of interest would have been helpful. A lot of time was wasted looking for points of interest.

Pretty ordinary. It feels like I hired a car and a driver with a schedule no deviation from the script of the play. If I have a working GPS with me I would have hire a car and did it myself .

Being only 3 persons, we made the trip in a very nice and comfortable car. Our guide Andreas took us to Italy and made the trip very pleasant. We enjoyed shopping in San Remo and had a relaxing lunch on the sea side in Menton. We loved it.

This tour was awesome! Although, I wish I had gone on this tour at the beginning of my trip or known that the sweaters, jackets, belts, leather bags and purses were a must buy. I bought all of these things and wish that I had packed light going to Nice so that I would have enough space to buy more. The next time that I go to Nice, this will be one of my first Group trips or I'll be sure to budget my finances so that I can buy more- the leather goods, sweaters and accessories are beautiful and good quality! The Small-Group Nice Food Tour was amazing too! My tour guide on that trip was Claudia, who was so friendly and every item of food that she chose was more delicious than the next!

Amazing we were the only 2 on the tour due to the bank holiday. Rolf was very knowledgable and went out of his way to look after us, nothing was a problem. I have been on many tours in different countries and been extremely disappointed! Therefore I must say this company from start to finish were Highly Professional. Though billed as an Italian tour, the second half of the tour was in France Menton and Dogs Head Viewing point._br/_
In hindsight, we were actually thankful for that as that was the more interesting part of the tour._br/_
The Italian shopping was focused on weekly bazaar selling Chinese made knock-offs of branded clothes and other accessories - not exactly our cup of tea._br/_
I give tis a three star instead of four as the details of the trip should have been made clearer when booking was being done.

Disappointing. The ground transportation was just that a transporter- no guide, no history. I could have saved my money and used a taxi. The market was a foreign flea market, not worth buying anything except the leather bags. The street vendors are overwhelming. The upside- the weather was perfect.

Great experience, our guide Andreas was very informative and funny, made the whole trip relaxing and worth! Highly recommended! Just hope the weather is good, otherwise the Grande Corniche will not offer anything.
