Can you picture yourself on a secluded beach, with a beautiful Hawaiian sunset as your backdrop and the tantalizing aroma of a Hawaiian barbeque sizzling nearby? Experience the best of the South Pacific for yourself at Germaine's Luau, an authentic ohana (family) backyard-style show with cultural entertainment that's fun for all.
Just a short drive from the hustle and bustle of Waikiki, Germaine's Luau is set on a secluded private beach in Kalaeloa. A traditional Hawaiian luau, buffet dinner, cultural show and transport from your Waikiki hotel are all included in this evening package that’s perfect for the whole family.
Your evening at Germaine's Luau begins with the ancient Hawaiian cooking tradition known as the Imu Ceremony. During this ceremony you'll witness how pork is cooked to perfection in a Hawaiian underground oven. After the ceremony, dive into authentic Hawaiian delicacies from the all-you-can eat luau buffet, including roasted pig, deep fried mahimahi and lomi lomi salmon.
While you dine, feast your eyes on spectacular performances of the Samoan Fire-Knife dance and Samoan Slap Dance, a traditional display of male prowess. And, of course, no luau would be complete without the swaying hips and elegant movements of the Hukilau Hula dancers.
After enjoying the authentic Hawaiian cuisine and traditional cultural performances of Germaine's Luau, you'll discover why experiencing this memorable luau only once may not be enough.
We thoroughly enjoyed the luau...food was great and entertainment was spectacular. Thanks to Cousin Greg /driver on the bus

What a fun night. You pay for the entertainment and it is awesome! Food is okay. I'm not really into poi or overcooked rice noodles. Dessert tasted like it had been frozen and then thawed. Alcoholic drinks were perfection. I recommend paying for the Plumeria package. No lines, front seats.

A great evening out. Plenty of food and entertainment. Highly informative about the different cultures through the medium of music and dance and a great opportunity to try different local cusines at the all you can eat buffet. We experienced a brief rain shower but staff were straight out with ponchos so we could carry on with evening. Very welcoming and helpful.

Germaines Luau was nice. Food was different and pork was a little too rich. The pineapple on the table was delicious. People were very friendly.

When I booked this I was given the wrong pick up time. Good thing I called them they did not call me to find out what was wrong. When I called they told me that my pick up time was at 4:20 but all of my paperwork indicated that it was at 5 pm.

The pickup and drop off near where we stayed was very convenient. Food was ok, but not excellent. However, the entertainment was the best we saw while in Hawaii. We really liked the location right on the beach. I would definitely recommend this experience.

We had a nice time at the Luau, not sure we would attend another one but it was interesting to see their culture and sample their cuisine.

Long drive to the location. The food was average and the show was too long and boring. I would recommend attending a different luau.

Loved Germaine's Luau. This was our first trip to Hawaii and our first luau. Transportation pick up from hotel on time and Cousin Greg great host on the bus and at luau. Beautiful setting, food was good, entertainment was fantastic. I would go again! Thanks for a great night!

This tour was amazing!

The Luau is situated just off an industrial estate which wasn't particularly picturesque. Overall Disappointing paid for the Plumeria package and did not feel it was good value for money. The staff and dancers were great but the food was Luke warm, and as we were served first it should have been hot. The cocktails were poor and you had a limited choice unless you paid. Considering how much extra we paid was not worth the extra cost.

The luau food I felt was wanting a little although you could have as much as you wanted, I found some of the food a little tasteless. The entertainment was excellent although a little more explanation of the differences in culture across Polynesia would have been good. The dancing was fantastic and there was good audience interaction. Gregg on bus 1 was entertaining. Although I enjoyed it overall it was not the best Luau I have ben to.

Wally was a great host and Reno the driver did a good job getting us to and from the Luau. Plumeria seating is great way to go. Food Ono. Entertainment was enjoyable. My third visit.

The luau food I felt was wanting a little. I personally didn't like the Pulled pork, I prefer it un-pulled. The entertainment was excellent. Colour, costumes as well as dancing was really well done. Good audience interaction._br/_ Well Done.

Great Luau! Had a terrific time. The tour guide, Georgie, was one of the best tour guides we experienced all week long.

Everything except the rain was fun. Recommend that one takes the special packages available, much better seats and service. Otherwise entertaining and fun, also quite touristy. Also take the bus, easier that driving there.
Review by: JESHURUN K, February 2016
Food and music were great. However, it rained for the entire duration of the performance, but poncho's were provided. In such an event, it may help to have potential shelters that can be erected temporarily.

What a lovely night to get the full Hawaii experience. We loved our tour assistant, sorrycant remember his name but he's short and looks younger than he does. Funny man which added to the fun of the night. Great dancers and lovely hosts. Worth a try and will enjoy it.

This luau is okay, but I wouldn't go out of my way to attend. It is one of the oldest on the island since the 70s and has a very Vegas feel to it. _br/_ There is a lot of food - all very good. The dancers are fantastic and work very hard. _br/_ The downside is the long bus ride to the location of the luau.

Went in August for my husband's 50th, my 50th, and our son completing his Masters and going into a Pharmacy program. They failed to mention our celebration, and appeared to care more about newlyweds. We thought the Luau was very nice, but having gone to Polynesian Cultural Centre with Luau and night show, this paled in comparison. Still was a fun family luau. They give out 3 liquor drink tickets per adult, and my daughter who is 19 was charged adult fee for the luau but not allowed drink tickets. The price for her ticket should have been lower. The bus tour guide was excellent, really enjoyed the ride there and back. Her name is Georgie. Food was fine.

The 4 of us didn't know what to expect. We were absolutely delighted with Germaine's Luau. The hostess, _br/_ Cousin April on the Roberts tour bus was absolutely delightful and arranged for us to be dropped off at our ship which was leaving that night. We never expected to be so entertained. The whole experience couldn't have been better.

Review by: Irene M, August 2015
Despite the craziness at the pick-up location, since the pick-ups for all luaus appear to be in front of the Illikai Hotel, the shuttle was worth it, than fighting through traffic. At least Ki'i out host was entertaining on the drive... the Luau was great and everything I imagined it to be. Food was great, performances were great, and even the guest participation activities were quite entertaining. Only suggestion, since the luau is on the sand, would recommend wearing shoes that you can wear comfortably in the sand or plan to go barefoot.
