You can paddle to the Mokulua Islands or Popoia Island (Flat Island) to see bird sanctuaries, snorkel with green sea turtles at Lanikai Beach and enjoy incredible views from the water. Have time to relax on the beach and swim in the ocean as you discover the natural treasures of Oahu during this day in paradise. All kayak and snorkel equipment, lunch and round-trip transportation from Waikiki are included on this small-group tour.
Your Kailua Bay kayaking adventure starts with hotel pickup in Waikiki. A 30-minute drive brings you to the kayak shop at Kailua Bay where friendly staff outfit you with all the necessary equipment, including kayaks, life jackets, snorkel gear, dry bags and lockers. Receive a thorough safety briefing and kayaking instruction before you set out on the water.
After kayaking, feel free to use the provided shower facilities and changing rooms before your driver returns you to your hotel in the mid-afternoon. All tours include full gear, lunch (see sample menu at the end of Itinerary section) and round-trip transportation from Waikiki.

One of the best things I've done in Hawaii. First time kayaking and snorkelling. Guide was patient, friendly and allowed us to go at our own pace. The beach at Kailua Bay is stunning and next to no people around or high rise hotels. This is how I imagined Hawaii to be. Transfers were provided from waikiki.

I did the 2-hour guided tour of Kailua Bay thay went out to the tiny flat island of Popoia (which is a protected bird sanctuary!) I had the most amazing time! Hayley and Ophelia were my guides, and they were awesome. The lunch spots included on the tour were a Hawaiian BBQ, pizza, or deli. All GREAT

Our tour guide Toby was awesome! My flip-flops broke as soon as I stepped out of the kayak when we landed on Flat island which is make from the upsurge of a coral reef and has a lot of sharp rocks. Toby let me wear his flip flops and then took us on the tour while he walked barefoot on the sharp rocks. He gave us a lot of information about the island, the history of the area and the birds that inhabit the islands. I would highly recommend asking for him when you book a tour.

Fantastic trip and the guides wade the difference with their intimate knowledge of e area and Hawaii. This was my favorite part of out trip. Be sure you've had experience kayaking for a few miles before this trip to best enjoy it. We had a couple peel off from our group after they fell off a couple times. You may also want to consider a single kayak unless you know you can coordinate well with your partner paddling. Plus, it's easier to take pictures of each other that way, too.

As an inexperienced kayaker, the guided tour suited my needs perfectly. Our guides, Bailey and Laura, were well informed and paced the tour well. The bay was lovely, even if we did not see any sea turtles on this visit.

The tour guides were super nice. It was worth it to kayak around with someone who was knowledgeable about the local history and ecological value of Kailua Bay. I actually learned some things about Hawaii and the birds of Kailua Bay. It was a nice way to spend the afternon.
