Wonderful experience. We took the Ambassador package with Luau and transport from the hotel. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable and provided a lot of great information on various Polynesian cultures and got us to all the major attractions on time.

We enjoyed this 12 years ago and we still enjoyed it this time, with our children.

A must do event in Oahu. Had the ambassador ticket so got picked up close to our hotel in the morning. We had a small group tour with a fantastic guide, Parley, who was very chatty and informative. The different islands were terrific and great fun. Buffet lunch and dinner. Luau during dinner and then the Ha Breath show which was amazing.

Wonderful overview of the various Polynesian cultures! Great activities and shows at each of the 7 villages! The luau and Breath of Life show in the evening were both excellent! Highly recommend this full day tour!

Very interesting tour. Spent the entire day at the village. Luau was not as expected. Food not great. Show pretty much what we saw all day. However, the final show of the day in the theatre was fantastic. That was worth the money we spent on tour.

I've been raving about the Polynesian Cultural Center to everyone I meet. It was a great day of fun and entertainment. Wish we had more time to spend there. It is a better event if you spend two days there.

Our tour guide was wonderful on the drive out. Then we were given a new tour guide for the Cultural Center. Both were great. I loved seeing the different villages and hearing the history about each of the Polynesian cultures.

Tour details from Viator missing or wrong with key information. Said dinner was 5-7pm but turned out to be 4-5pm so we missed our meal. The "luau" was hard to follow because the "scene" was not always introduced. Some of the dancers looked out of place. Wouldn and #39;t do it again, or book through Viator.

2nd time doing this tour and although there was a bit of a confusion, when I called in to confirm the tour-the company finally found us. We had quiet an experience as the family sitting at our table was fighting. It was pretty embarrassing for everyone else at the table. But the food was good and the Polynesian Cultural Center should not be missed when you are in Hawaii.

Awesome experience! The shows were fun, beautiful and engaging. The hands on activities were also fun to do, like the swinging poi. Just a wonderful, albeit long, day. 10:30am-10:30pm

Fantastic place to see the culture of the islands. The canoe parade of the different islands is beautiful and entertaining. The evening show is definitely worth seeing.

Liked the place and everything there but it was too rushed. Guides had to hurry to catch the next show and some of the seniors could not walk that fast. Could have left earlier in am. We ended up missing a few shows. Luau was fabulous and Breath of Life show

This is a wonderful opportunity to learn about the many Polynesian cultures, and enjoy fine entertainment and good food. Be aware that this is just a snippet of what the culture Center has to offer. You will want to come back on your own to leisurely enjoy the cultural center._br/_ The day will go fast because there is so much to see and do. The students are not only talented, but gracious and knowledgeable, too._br/_ Great value!

Spent a full day at the Polynesian Cultural Centre on a guided tour package. Was extremely well organised. Recommend having your own tour guide which comes with the selected package.

We do not usually pay for extras but on this trip we paid for the Super Ambassador and it was worth every penny. We had a personal tour guide that was amazing and we saw everything we wanted to see. We then attended the luau and evening show and the show was breathtaking. We had so much fun and would pay the extra money again for the trip. I would recommend this to all that visit Oahu.

We spent a full day at the Cultural Center, capped off by the luau and evening show. If you have the time, I would recommend spending 2 days there. With the help of a great guide, we were able to take in the shows at all 6 villages, the canoe pageant and canoe ride. We did not have time to see and participate in the demonstrations in all the villages. Everyone is friendly, knowledgeable and proud to share their culture. The luau includes a feast of foods and a colorful high energy show. The evening show, Ha: Breath of Life, was a wonderful way to finish our day. The costumes, talent and energy of the performers are amazing. Put this on the top of your to-do list.

The whole day was excellent, our bus driver was great, thanks Rob, and we booked the Ambassdor tickets which meant we got a guided tour from start to finish and got to see most of the shows along the way and experience every islands unique heritage. Our guide Ata was a joy and very helpful. I got a scooter as I have walking issues, and it was a godsend. The whole day was a great experience.

Best place ever! You need at least 2 days to enjoy everything they have to offer. We only spent one day there and we wish we had one extra day. Great people, awesome experience!

Tour guide was great, understood our needs and not pushy, just was a long day of sightseeing, would recommend at least doing it in two days, Luau was ok, breath of life show was amazing storytelling, would be nicer if the dinner was during that show

I wish I had spent a whole day there... I took the late night show. Because I got in around 4pm, I missed some of the performances. And the luau... you got to have the pineapple bars. I will go there just for the bars.

Must go in the day and visit the villages before the Luau. So much fun.The Luau had delicious selections and plenty of variety. They had a Hawaiian band playing and many different dance performances while you ate. The table seating was comfortable and the wait staff very gracious.

What an experience this was!!! The Polynesian Cultural Center offered a lot of activities to choose from. The different cultures were amazing to see. Each had their own distinctive identity - different from the others. The water parade was beautiful. Everything was eye-catching. Food was good as well.

The Polynesian Cultural Center was probably my favourite thing about my trip. The shows were entertaining in the different sectors, the luau and Ha: Breath of Life and the food for the Luau was delicious! The buffet style dinner allowed us to get exact what we want and let us try a bunch of different dishes! Overall, a fantastic time!

Nice Luau with great performances and good food. Table space is really tight. I did wish that the photographer would have taken a better shot of my family and I, so that our souvenir photo would have come out better they didn't even take a moment to cue us, so my sister's boyfriend looks miserable in the shot. I also enjoyed Ha: Breath of Life.

This was an enjoyable excursion. It was a long ride from the hotel. However that was fine because we saw some beautiful scenery on the way. We had a nice tour guide who was informative about the sights. She encouraged us to buy lunch tickets on the bus because we would be waiting in long lines for lunch. We found that not to be the case. We had no trouble getting lunch. The Polynesian Cultural Center reminded me of Epcot Center but on a much smaller scale. The different South Pacific Islands such as Tahiti and Fiji are set up like a small village each showcasing their own show and artifacts etc. In the afternoon their was a water parade where each of the Islands contributed to a show by floating on a small barge. Each Island did a small show while floating down the river. After that we went to a Luau. The food was good as was the show. Later in the evening there was another show in the amphitheater. This was a long day but worth it.

Was a great experience and a great afternoon. Enjoyed the shows and cultural demonstrations we were able to squeeze in. The Luau was fantastic and many memories were made. The evening show was captivating and it was obvious how much time and effort went in by the performers to give us such an amazing performance. My only complaint was there was not enough time to see and do everything in a single trip. Will definitely visit again if ever back in Hawaii in the future.

The guide was a must have to navigate. Our guide was a lot of fun and did well with our preschoolers. The Ha show was great, but the show at the meal was very difficult to see. Overall it was a great experience. Make sure you have lunch before you go.

Review by:   Catherine w,    October 2017 Review: 2 star rating: It was OK, but could have been better
The Polynesian Cultural Center Luau was good. Lots to see and do. The difficulty was with the pickup time and location. At no time were we given a specific location for pickup, even though we had confirmed our reservation. The concierge in the hotel had to track the transportation to the Center and she had to tell them where to pick us up which was just around the corner from our hotel. As a result we missed 2 hours of being at the Cultural Center. You do need a full day there so those 2 hours were important.

Wonderful day, full of colour and culture _br/_ Everyone was helpful and smiled all the time _br/_ Our guide was very pleasant, informative and helpful- _br/_ Only sting in the tail was a shame we where not informed about the guides price in the original booking fee and included an upgrade to closer seats to the stage _br/_ Paid on the bus on the way to the center which was 60 dollars for x2 _br/_ Scenery around the parc was spectacular _br/_ Going around the islands was enjoyable, food was excellent and show was outstanding _br/_ Amazing how it's run to allow the students to have university education - wonderful example other universities _br/_ Long but memorable day

Good place to visit with the variety of Polynesian Islands represented. Very entertaining. Only issue that I had was the push to take a tour of the Mormon College...wasn't looking for a religious experience, although having said that they weren't insistent about taking tour._br/_ Dinner and entertainment was very good!

a must see in Hawaii! and go ahead and spring for the ambassador package so you have a tour guide who walks you up to each show as it is about to start. So glad these proud heritages are being preserved! Be ready for a long, full day, though! And, I have to say, the buffet was incredibly good! I did not expect the food to be so good, but have to say I skipped dessert just to have more of the fish and rice. Who says that? but it's true! Then the final show...wow! Great job by the entire staff putting on a show that really will take your breath away!

It is a huge luau. The entertainment was great!! No alcohol since Luau backs up to BYU. I would guess there were about 1000 people there, maybe 500. Very, very large. Pork was good. It is a buffet serving multitudes. If you are looking for high quality food this isn't hear. Luau is a great little town, with not much happening. The water an beaches are fabulous and not crowded. We stayed in a Villa on the beach across the street from the PCCL. A short 1.5 hour drive from Honolulu through the jungles and by the beaches of Oahu. Make the trip it is worth it!!

The Breath of Life was very good. The food was very disappointing. This is my fifth Luau and have had better food at other venues. The whole tour was rushed and we didn't get to go a lot of things we wanted to do. The seating for the Luau was also disappointing and people were lined up at 5pm and didn't open until 5.30pm. Would go again but would use my own transport and arrive when the centre opened to do and see all the things we wanted to see. The driver did pick us up at the hotel when taking us, but dropped us off at the coffee house on the corner when going home. He did ask us if this was ok and we said yes, but on reflection it was door to door so this was disappointing as well.

This tour is how you learn to read carefully. We wanted to visit the PCC and see the exhibits of all the islands AND go to the Luau. What I booked is the PCC Luau, which if you use thier transportation from Waikliki Beach gets you to the PCC at 4pm, which is just enough time to see one show, Samoa, great and go to the Luau. I called the day before and asked and was told, oh yes you will have time to see the shows. So lesson learned, read it all. Now the Luau was great, good entertainment and great foodbetter than two previous luaus we wnt to on this trip

Unique and interesting driver, who was careful and concerned re travelers. We did get to destination late I paid for destination not an extra drive tour. _br/_ Ambassador tour: We were guided to shows in each area, which was a plus. Guide was friendly and informative. My personal goal was to see artisans in each area advertised. We saw none...just shows. Disappointed. The shows were very good, and could see all but one water show- I stood and still couldn't see well, but did get a dvd of it. The only parts of the shows that was repetitive and in my opinion after the 3rd one was how to show applause. At that point, it was a time waster, as I would have applauded without direction and practice. I loved the show in the temple, and would have benefitted from some background info on what I was seeing. I was fortunate to talk to one of the performers who answered a couple of my questions. I lost my guide towards the end , as I was putting my sneakers back on at the temple respect. So I wasn't able to be in the end of the tour, and lost time searching. Other workers there, did help me out in finding my original guide. Awareness to my comments : I am a person artist, and past teacher of social studies who likes to experience authenticity, creative hands on, and connect with culture. perhaps on more of an intense level than average._br/_ Re the Luau... Important info for Single Travelers... I was taken in with a group of four and two couples one that I had met/talked with, so I was excited to join them. They were seated. The hostess looked at me, and said ... 4 and 4 . You are one. You can't sit there. I don't know where I can put you . She walked quickly away from me, leaving me there to figure out that perhaps I should follow, which I did. I stopped on the level on which I was first taken I was toward the beginning of the line and in the center if I were to be seated with my new friends. and waited. She returned and placed me against a short wall at the end of a table behind a man who persisted in taking more than his share of space and leaned in front of me during the performance. Fortunately, all others at the table were considerate and very friendly. I share this because as a single traveler....it was a negative event. Also, if you are not a public prayer enthusiast... Be Aware, that a time for a public prayer and holding hands around the table was placed at the beginning of the show. LDS provided awkward _br/_ I changed my view finder , and enjoyed the show. There is real talent in many areas to enjoy._br/_ Re : Luau -positive... Excellent performers. Roasted pig from pit was part of ceremony before eating. Buffet choices were nicely done. The poke, ahi tuna and clams in the center area were wonderful. we were not told of these, just buffet. Wonderful looking desserts: lemon bar was delicious. A spoonful of bread pudding was tasteless. Other desserts were gone. not a problem, I had more poke/clams_br/_ Drinks non alcoholic- dry place due to LDS were provided upon entry...Very super sweet ? flavor. Carafes of water were on the table and refilled. A cart with pineapples with ? non alcoholic drink was rotated for 10. some got their hopes up that it was included More drinks were available for self serve during buffet- all were sweetened. I looked for unsweetened iced tea, but am wondering if that is against LDS principles..?? I don't remember. Plenty of time was provided between the Luau and the Show...Oh Wow, Now that, was emotionally moving, and Awesome as any Broadway show! _br/_ The driver on the bus back same as going was careful to check for all passengers, and it was a pleasant ride back. He is a unique asset , in my opinion. The bus provider needs to know that the exhaust fumes were intense, and I was in the front near the driver's open window, and it was still too strong. People in the back really felt the effects. That needs to be checked, please. _br/_ In summary, I really enjoyed my day, absorbed dance/music, and learned a lot. To fully partake in all activities, more than a day is needed. If I had transport, I would have returned part of my package allowed free park time for the next day, to find the artisans that I heard of , and so wanted to see.
