Ocho Rios ATV Safari

Ocho Rios, Jamaica

Pack in a punch of fun with this 2-hour ATV tour of Ocho Rios. Kick up dirt as your all-terrain vehicle takes you on a mostly off-road adventure through rugged dirt trails, tropical woods and two of Jamaica's oldest sugar estates, Richmond and Llandovery. Capture fantastic views of the Caribbean, and learn about local history and horticulture from a knowledgeable guide. Then journey to a private cove where you can leap off a cliff for a refreshing dip in the sun-dappled waters below. Hotel transport is included.

Discover the beauty of Ocho Rios on unconventional transport, the all-terrain vehicle (ATV). After hotel pickup you’ll be provided with a safety briefing and outfitted with the equipment needed for your ATV adventure through Jamaica's backcountry.

Hop on your ATV and follow your knowledgeable guide through local communities and forests, enjoying unparalleled access to the hills and plains of the Caribbean island. Explore the estate grounds of Richmond and Llandovery, former sugar plantations dating back to the 1660s. Learn about their history and Llandovery’s role as one of the last factories in St Ann to produce sugar.

Then take an easygoing ride along a pristine stretch of beach to a private cove, where you can wash off the dirt by taking a dip in a gorgeous natural pool. Ease yourself in for a swim — or feel an exhilarating rush you leap from a nearby cliff and free-fall 30 feet (9 meters) into the sparkling Caribbean below.

After this leisurely break, enjoy transport back to your hotel.

My husband and I went on our own and were put with a group of 6. The trails were tough enough to make it fun. Both guides were great. The lead guide kept an eye out so the less adventurous ones behind us didn't get too far behind. We stopped a couple of times so the guides could tell us about the flora and fauna. Loved cliff jumping! The water was so clear and pretty. I'd do this trip again even though the taxi driver said he could have taken us to another ATV company that was closer and less expensive.

The stuff there were very knowledgeable, allowed us to have fun while being safe. The scenery was also very nice. The girls we went with also thought it was very fun and not as intimidating as they thought it would have been, before they got the on the utility ATV's. I would do this again on my next trip

Soooo, this trip was pretty amazing! It had just rained, so going through the muddy trail made it even more fun. The only thing is tht th company no longer has ATV's, they use vehicles similiar to a car, so if you cannot drive, you can ride as a passenger.

This adventure was outstanding! The guides were personable and entertaining. The drive was exhilarating and we had just enough rain to knock down the dust, create a few mud puddles but not soak us to the skin. I highly recommend the tour company and their ATV Excursion!

Very nice, but put on long pants, because the hot air coming out from the machine WILL burn your legs.

Great activity. They don't mention this in the online description but you have the option to jump off a cliff into water during the safari ride(i kid you not). Its beautiful, so bring a bathing suit. Its included with this activity,no extra charges. I cant swim so I didnt do it. Wish I could of.

I had a great time on this tour. It rained right before we got to the site so the trail was nice and muddy, giving us a real ATV experience. The tour guides were very nice and took pictures of us going through the mud puddles. At the end we were able to rinse off by jumping off a safe cliff into the ocean, which i didn't do but others had fun doing. I would definitely recommend this tour.

This was a fun day, and the staff was very patient and informative. I would definitely recommend this excursion. Although, I have to warn everyone to wear closed toe shoes, and older clothes, it was muddy!!

We had a wonderful time on the ATV safari. Colleen our guide was outstanding. We didn't see a sugar factory or a Chester All age school as advertised but still had a great time

Quads are in good condition, trails are a little too easy and wide. My only complaint would be that we were not allowed to go any faster than a crawl, no fishtailing or big splashes. I prefer to quad on the foothills of Alberta Canada where I can challenge myself. One great thing is the views. Beautiful Cove and Beautiful Forest.

Nothing too spectactular other than getting to drive an ATV. Getting to jump off the 30 foot cliff and spectacular view is well worth the money. Guide staff is very helpful with any problems.

The staff was professional. The ATV's were very well kept and maintained. The ride was awesome and we had a blast. The only issue was the wait to return to the hotel. Overall I would highly recommend the ATV trip!!

Great fun, but you can skip the swim event. It sucks to be all wet for the trip back home.
