This tour started out badly when we arrived at the hotel in Palermo and they did not have our booking! Fortunately, the hotel contacted the travel agency and was able to direct us to the hotel that the tour had changed to. _br/_ This hotel was comfortable and centrally located. It provided a superb breakfast buffet. However, since there was no open space beside the hotel the rooms were dark with no natural light in the rooms. Also the A/C made the rooms cold all of the time._br/_ We enjoyed the tour. The places that we visited were interesting. The meals that were provided were tasty and varied. Generally the wines were of good quality. _br/_ In the visit to the wine cellar for a wine tasting we were disappointed. We were shown the wine cellar but did not get to taste the wines other than those served at lunch. Many of us hoped to taste and possibly buy wine and olive oil but this opportunity was not made available._br/_ We would recommend that fewer nights be spent in Palermo. The heavy traffic meant that time was lost in the morning and afternoon just getting into and out of town. _br/_ Instead we suggest:_br/_ a stay in the area of Segesta one night possibly at the hotel where the wine cellar was located. It was very pretty there._br/_ b stay in Cefalu possibly for 2 nights. This would be good for visiting that village which was charming with its seaside location and medieval feel with its narrow streets. It would also be convenient for the trip to Corleone_br/_ c the last night could be in Palermo for convenience of those flying out the next day as well as a final dinner together._br/_ Our guide that accompanied us did a superb job. He was informative and provided useful commentary. The local tour guides were also very good
