Leaning Tower of Pisa Tickets

Pisa, Italy

Visit the UNESCO World Heritage-listed Leaning Tower of Pisa with this entrance ticket. After exchanging your voucher, head up the tower’s sloping staircase and enjoy unforgettable views of Pisa from the top!

Recognized worldwide, the gravity-defying Leaning Tower of Pisa has captivated crowds for centuries with its distinctive tilt. The tower, which took nearly 200 years to construct, started leaning even before it was finished and still nobody knows for sure why this is! Some say it was the result of an architectural miscalculation, whereas others believe the soft clay ground was the cause.

Decide for yourself by exploring this must-see UNESCO World Heritage Site! After exchanging your voucher for your ticket, head past the long entrance lines that gather in Cathedral Square and start the climb skywards.

You’ll have a strict 30 minutes to climb to the top, take in the views and head back down, so be sure to make every second of your time in the tower count! The 294-step staircase can be disconcerting; with steps slanting different ways, but you’ll be rewarded with fantastic panoramic views over Pisa from the top! Walk around the tower’s balcony and take photos of the busy square below, littered with incredible monuments like Pisa Cathedral and the Campo Santo cemetery.

It was wonderful to see this historic place. Enjoyed the view from the top but given that you spend a good bit of time up there and the view doesn't change, I didn't stay long. It was tiresome going up and a little disorientating coming back down given the slanty stairs. The grounds surrounding the tower are stunning and it was lovely to just chill in the sunshine looking up at this wonder.

It was great to visit Pisa but didn't like how we had to get our tickets. First off, we didn't like the fact that we had to meet someone at the corner of a street we didn't know. The street name was not visible on the building. We had to pretty much find a needle in a haystack. It was so busy there. Once we finally found the guy with our tickets we had no choice but to take the time they gave us. We landed up waiting another couple of hours before we could go up. They are pretty strict there only allowing a certain amount of people up every 15 minutes. Once you get to the top of Pisa though the view is amazing. BTW...they don't allow any bags or backpacks so make sure you check your items in the building that is straight across from the tower first before standing in line. You can also purchase your tickets there which I think we should have done. All in all, I wasn't that impressed. The building doesn't look so authentic anymore.

It's very interesting climbing the worn down stairs in a leaning tower, but it was well worth the money, great views from the top

This is a must for anyone visiting Pisa. The meeting point and agent was easy to find and he was friendly. The walk up the tower was brilliant. The staircase for the first few flights really bank to one side depending which side of the tower you are. It eases off the higher you go. You also get to visit the Duomo with your ticket after you have been up the tower.

The leaning tower is only 5 minute walk from Train station Pisa S. Rossore Station which is 4 minute train ride from Pisa Centrale Station. We picked up our pre-purchased tickets from the guide who was standing within a couple of feet from the entry door of the leaning tower with no issues. Our entry time was shown on the ticket which allowed us enough time to go to office next to tower to put all of our personal items in locker Can only take a camera on climb to top, which was free of charge. Climbing the stairs in the tower is a thrill. Stair steps are made of beautiful marble and very easy to climb. Your body will actually try to lean in the direction of the leaning tower, as you climb. This was a terrific experience and should be on everyone's bucket list of things you must do at least once in your life. Great experience!

The tower itself was amazing! There was no guide and no line so we could have just purchased our own tickets and saved money rather than paying for this tour

We booked this with the belief that we couldn't access the Leaning Tower of Pisa any other way. In fact for 18 27 you can buy the tickets at the Piazza. Also the lady that issued us the tickets was 15 min late, causing stress and unnecessary unanswered phone calls, gave us the ticket and just left. I wouldn't bother buying this ticket online

We wasted an entire day travelling to Pisa only to find out that the leaning tower was CLOSED. Viator should us tickets for a tour on a date that it was closed. We are extremely unhappy about it. This is unacceptable.

These are just tickets to the Leaning Tower and Cathedral and is not a tour. There is a secure car park approx 5 minutes away Parcheggio di Piazza dei Miracoli which charged us 6.00 Euros from 3.30pm until 5.45pm so 2 Euros per hour - also once you pay you have to exit within 9 mts. Our guide was located just in front of the leaning tower at Via Santa Maria. The climb to the top was easy and took us less than 5 mts. They say the steps are slippers but they weren't for me in my Nike's. Most steps have a groove in them and you can secure your foot on it. Easy climb! I did it with my vertigo! The climb up is a bit claustrophobic if you are one. I'm not, so didn't feel a thing. With these tickets, the entrance time we got was 5pm so we had to wait. There are many restaurants just opposite the leaning tower so we had tea taking on the majestic views. We also visited the Cathedral which was beautiful!!_br/_ Please remember not to walk on the grass while you are here as it's considered disrespectful. Also the toilets are approx 80 cents per entry. I didn't go in so can't say if they were clean._br/_ The view from the top of the tower are phenomenal!!! I felt the money was worth it :- _br/_ Expect a LOT of people if you go in August!

Lots of tourists at Pisa tower as expected but worth the climb while there. Make sure not to miss the time slot as we've seen people turned down due to being late by about 15 minutes... We didn't have too much problem finding the tickets and the tower is nice to see.

The CAF lady was at the agreed location by 4:20pm with our ticket. But we had been in Pisa for a day by then and on enquiry could have bought tickets on the day for an earlier session and for much cheaper than that bought on line. Would also have liked more information at time of booking that you have to leave handbags, backpacks etc at ground level. All in all a marvellous experience. Loved Pisa.

Buy tickets from the official pisa site and save 12 euros. avoid the undisclosed uplift .enjoy the tower at the proper price.

Very interesting tour _br/_ We visited Pisa with our twin girls 10 years old and our son 5 years old (he is not allowed to walk to Pisa tower as he was younger than 8)_br/_ Pisa security and ticket checking staff at entrance were very helpful and friendly to let us split in two group n skip the line

The tickets were way overpriced based on what was available on site. Additionally, the late time that we got was not what I would have chosen, but there was no option to pick a time when I booked it.

How could you go to Pisa without climbing the tower, great visit! The only drawback is you get a voucher which then gives you a timed ticket, we picked up the voucher at about 4:10, expecting to visit at 4:30, but then had to wait until 5:15 to visit the tower as they only allow so many in at a time. We had already spent the afternoon in the area seeing the Duomo and Baptistry so had nothing to do except wait.

I used Viator to buy tickets for the Leaning Tower of Pisa--it did not work well. I bought the tickets and asked for a 4:30 time because we had a train to catch. We got a message on the day of the tour that we were to meet at a location near the Leaning Tower at 4:20 to exchange our voucher for the actual tickets. We were there at 4:15 and no one was there until 4:30. I looked at my tickets and was shocked to find that they had assigned a time of 5 p.m. for me. The agent was apologetic but said nothing could be done. It seems that Viator makes all the decisions and you just have to take what they arrange. I will not use this service again. I will find the website for the attraction that I want and book it directly--Viator did not render any service at all and the official ticket office for the Leaning Tower won't intervene or help.

Can't really give a positive rating or any rating at all because I could not find the representative to retrieve my tickets. Therefore, I blew all the dough and got nothing in return.

Hi, _br/_ I booked this tour and at the time it did not ask me for a specific time as it speaks about skipping lines etc.. So i presumed I could arrive and go during the time i was there. I was on Cruise ship so only had a few hours and my time that you had booked me for was 5.30 which i could not make as my ship would have gone. It is not clear when booking that you select the time and this is not acceptable nor is the fact that you charge twice the price for a ticket as is available in the ticket office there. The lady I spoke to was of no help. So i lost my money booked with you and also never got to climb the tower. I have booked other trips through you before but I will certainly shop around before even considering booking with your company again.

I recommend you go to the official Pisa website and purchase your own tickets in advance. This was not a guided tour, there was no and #34;skip the line and #34; advantage, and the time was way too late in the day. We pretty much just met a person at the corner of the square who handed us our ticket. Waste.

Loved that we could go inside the tower, although it was weird where we had to collect our tickets from, a more official collection point would have been better, and maybe be there a few minutes early, I felt like I was in the wrong spot.

Worked well getting tickets ahead of time. Meeting point for the tickets was a bit confusing and the lady who ran the Cafe where we met in front of seemed upset that we were gathering there. Tower was great.

We arrived in the morning instead of the afternoon, which was when we scheduled the tour. After a phone call to the guide, the tickets were released for us to use them in the morning pretty impressive.

Extremely hot the day we toured but was worth the heat. As I suffer from vertigo my experience at the top of the tower was colored by that situation, but it was still worth the climb, just to say I did it.

The leaning tower of Pisa is an Italian icon and well worth the visit. The climb up to the bell tower is well worth the effort although a little cramped when you meet people on the way back down. The room in the basement of the tower should not be missed where a plumb line from the top shows just how much the tower is actually leaning.

We could not find the meeting point as it was not clearly labelled bar Duomo is in a building under restoration and the cafe/bar goes by a different name. The main issue with this tour is the lack of flexibility with the time to visit the Tower. We could have got tickets ourselves at an earlier time and left Pisa a lot earlier. It would be useful if we could have chosen the time slot when we had booked online.
