Great value for money HOHO tour. Sadly the police had closed the river due to H and S so no river cruise but the wine tasting was worth the difference. Thank you to Viator who refunded the river cruise part of the ticket. Porto is an amazing city. River and beach combined. Lovely river promenade with several bars and restaurants. Would highly recommend a visit.

We always use Hop On and Hop Off tours wherever we travel. One thing I'd change is I'd have the stop number announced at each stop, whether by driver or within the recording. The stop numbers on the signs are very small and sometimes hard to see by the buses. The drivers are helpful, but you have to be seated downstairs if you have questions....

Such an amazing experience! The 2 day bus tour is a must in order to see what Porto has to offer. The cruise and wine tasting was a really nice addition. Everything was in order and seamless. If you're on your first-ever Porto visit, and you have only limited time in this exquisite city, do this HOHO bus tour. Be sure to get off in Gaia and walk down to the street that runs along the river past the port houses. Drop-dead gorgeous views everywhere. We did the Cadem tour and loved it - I never liked port before because I had no idea how many types there are.

Very nice trip with all important sights of the city. One line is running far from the city centre along the coast. So you can take off from the bus direct on the beach and spent nice time there.

This is a great activity. The 2 days hop-on hop off Yellow bus tour with optional river cruise and wine tasting is worth every cent you spend. The first day we did the route that goes to Matosinhos and enjoyed the day around the area. Matosinhos is beautiful. The fish is fresh, but also very expensive, compared to everywhere else we have been eating fish in Porto. Yesterday we did the river cruise, rode the Yellow Bus, Orange Line, to Vila Nova de Gaia, went to Calem for our tour and wine tasting and thoroughly enjoyed it.

Well worth the price tag. The cruise an Port Wine tasting alone pays for the ticket. But the bus tour is a great way to get around the city and learn about the history of this beautiful City.

This is well worth it. Includes wine tasting and a boat ride. Free transit on the bus for two days can't be beat. I ran out of time and didn't get to see one of the two routes. I guess it is a good reason to come back!

Great way to visit any new city. We ride around once, get the full tour, then decide where we want to get off and then back on, and on and off etc. the best over all way to get to know where you are and what you want to see,whether it is museums, churches,restaurants, parks what ever you want to do.

It seemed like a great idea but speakers were not working up on top in front of the windshield. It was very windy so that is where we wanted to sit, so it did not make us to happy not to hear any narration.

A good tour for people without much time in Porto or those wanting an overview of the city before independent exploring. We had bought the wine tasting and optional river cruise but didn't use them because the river cruise only ran on the hour and as we were on a cruise ship we were a bit concerned about time.

Excellent way of getting your bearings inside the city, and I suggest doing the whole route the first time with audio commentary, then hopping on and off as you wish. Only drawback was there was only a bus every 30 mins Sept 30 - Oct 1, and they didn't always come._br/_ Route 2 - Port and Castles was brilliant. Beautiful beaches, surfing, a castle and a fort......and the wonderful Serralves Gardens and Modern Art museum. Definitely worth a visit and free entry on Sunday mornings.

We booked the Viator Hop-0nHop-off vouchers in UK. The yellow buses were excellent. Porto is quite Hilly, so seeing the yellow stop sign was always very welcome._br/_ There are two tours, one mainly around the city and the other further afield. Both were great, the stops were in good places and the buses quite regular. _br/_ Free yellow earpieces gave access to good commentaries in several languages explaining the sights we were seeing. Also the little voucher book gave good discounts, especially at a couple of very nice restaurants._br/_ We also booked the wine tasting, choose your winery carefully, some are better than others, though all offer small tasting glasses of port wine._br/_ The river cruise was also fun. We sailed under all of the bridges across the Douro, on a sunny day it was delightful. Who knew that Mr Eiffel of tower fame was active in Porto as well!_br/_ All in all, great value, we would certainly do it again._br/_ Thanks Viator

We did both lines and got to see areas of Porto we wouldn't have seen otherwise. Audio sets worked well and we learned a lot about the city. A great way to see all of Porto and the city across the river, Villa da Gaia.

A mixed review: I booked the HOHO tour offered by Yellow Bus plus the river cruise and wine tasting... And neither the river cruise nor the wine tasting was available! There are two routes, the purple and the orange, that take you around Porto orange and surrounding towns and beach purple. The Purple tour was great! Highly recommend. The Orange route was the one that was supposed to give you the opportunity to take the cruise stop 5 and the wine tasting stop 6. Nowhere in the literature or the ticket, either on Viator or on the bus itself, was there any indication that the cruise and wine tasting are not offered every day. I went on a Sunday, and the Orange route featured a short cut that was not only repetitive, but did not cover a large portion of the tour listed on the map, including stops 5 and 6. Quite a waste of money about 10 USD and very disappointing. Also, though you can board at any stop, the first stop is NOT at the Clerics Tower as is stated in the literature. It is actually on Liberty Square in front of the McDonald's. And finally, don't pay attention to the time schedule given. The buses come and go seemingly randomly. The purple route, for example, is stated to pick up at the first stop once an hour on the hour, yet I saw three purple buses stop there in a span of 15 minutes not at the top of the hour and no orange route bus for almost an hour.

We hopped on the Porto Bus using our verification ticket printed and received our tickets for the two days and our headphones. The drivers were pleasant. The audio commentary was fine. Sometimes, the audio wouldnt work or would constantly change the station. It was helpful getting us around the city while sharing information. Our main complaint was that, even listening to the audio, we never knew which stop we were at, until it was too late, so we kept missing our stops. Good tour and good value but very much DIY. Get a good map and idea of the layout of Porto before you go. We arrived on a day trip by train from Lisbon and there are no instructions or information at the station on how to get into Porto centre.
