After pickup from your Puerto Plata hotel, your zipline and horseback-riding tour begins! First, head to the zipline course, where you’ll be given a brief overview and safety instruction. Then, you’re ready to glide through the treetops! With 10 total lines, there is plenty to see as you zipline through the beautiful jungle canopy. You’ll also get to explore the jungle on foot as you follow your guide on a nature walk. Get an up-close look at native wildlife and plants as you take in the magnificent scenery.
Next, head to the riding stables and hop on a horse for your Puerto Plata horseback-riding adventure! No riding experience is necessary -- you’ll be given safety equipment and a brief instruction to ensure a fun and safe ride. Follow your guide through the Puerto Plata jungle for a 30-minute horseback ride. Then, head back to the ranch, where you’ll enjoy a complimentary beverage before relaxing on the trip back to your Puerto Plata hotel.
This was an incredible experience with breath taking views. I encourage everyone to just try ziplining but I especially encourage it through the woods in this area. It was fun, pretty, and the crew that helped us along the way and taught us how to properly zipline were friendly and funny. I do discourage people who are not physically fit for climbing up stairs as well as not capable of hiking up hills as there is quite a bit of this to be done in high temperatures.

This experience was wonderful. The view from the zip line was spectacular. I would have given 5 stars except the process to get pictures failed miserably. There should be a way to download the pictures online or actually see them after the tour.

I loved this tour. The people were friendly and very helpful. I'm slightly older and a little overweight and they helped me up part of a climb. The horseback ride is short but after zip lining it was all I needed. The views are beautiful and my family and I truly enjoyed it.

I REALLY LIKED THE ZIPLINING, THE GUIDES WERE VERY PROFESSIONAL AND MY EXPERIENCE WAS VERY SIMILAR TO WHAT I EXPERIENCED IN THE US. I THOUGHT THEY TOOK CARE OF THEIR VISITORS VERY WELL AND I LIKED HOW THEY TOOK CARE OF THE CHILDREN THAT WERE IN MY GROUP. THE HORSEBACK RIDING WAS OK, I THOUGHT THEY SHOULD HAVE BEEN MORE CAREFUL WITH HOW WE RODE THE HORSES(THE SPEED AND WHICH THE HORSES RAN AT TIMES)ESPECIALLY WITH THE FIRST TIME RIDERS IN THE GROUP.

Very organized. Tour guide Eddy was very nice and also informative. Horseback riding was fun as was the zip line. Very clean and well cared for. Only thing was that I emailed before our tour to ask pick up time and no one emailed back, had to call. Overall very nice and I'd recommend it

The excursion was a lot of fun. Would recommend wearing sunglasses for the trip from/to hotel/location since you will be transported on an open-sided vehicle and it is very windy on the road trip. Horseback riding was great. It would have been nice to be longer duration and more galloping. The Zipline was a lot of fun and felt very safe and secure. The guides were entertaining and knew their business, making sure we were always tied off while waiting our turn. Would recommend getting the DVD, it was only $30 and is now a great remembrance for us.

My wife and I were very pleased with this tour. As we were one of the first hotels to be picked up, we had the longest time in the pickup vehicle, but this was not a problem. We were able to see the town of Puerto Plata as well as other villages along the way. We would not have had the opportunity to see other parts of the island without this trip. The tour itself was very professional. The facility was good, the horses looked fed, and the zip lines looked very safe. It was a very well done excursion location. We had read about the horseback ride being only 15 minutes. This is not the case. Even after waiting for everyone to get on the horses, our trip was at least a half an hour. If you only want to ride horses, then this might not be enough for you, but we definitely felt like it was a good amount of time to combine with the ziplining. The ziplining was terrific. There were 8 lines and were a lot of fun. They had water and sometimes soda at multiple spots during the trip. There is a lot of climbing, so you should be reasonably capable to climb. You will get a little tired sometimes. "Papa Alex" was a great guide. He explained everything very well, and even gave us a tour of some local plants and explained them. Overall a great tour. DO NOT MISS THIS ONE!

My fiance and I are 30 yrs old and were staying in Puerto Plata for 5 days. We really enjoyed the tour and would recommend it. The truck picked us up at our resort, which was great, and our guide was very informative and fun to be around. We enjoyed the horseback riding and would have even liked to have gone longer. The zip lines were great; we would have liked photos but were only offered video.

The tour was great.. The only thing I would change is the amount of time you spent on the horses. It was my first time riding and I thought we were going to explore for about an hour, but it was way too fast. We were on the horses for about 15-30 minutes up a hill and right back down. The zip lining tour was amazing.. Highly recommended. Make sure you call the tour place and not rely on Viator for your reservation. Viator booked my tour for Friday, but when i called the actual tour place, they told me that theat tour does not go out on Fridays and only goes out Saturdays and Tuesdays or something like that. That and the horse riding time was my only complaint. Other than that the tour was great and the guides were knowledgeable and friendly.

I loved our trip to the Zip lining tour!! The only snafu that we had was that we did not stay at a hotel in Puerto Plata and we had to speak with the tourist agency there who were scheduling pick up times. It was a little confusing, but we were able to get picked up by our guides who were quite pleasant. I bought the video also and the only thing that i would do different if they would have taken more video of me and my friends and the horsebackriding as well.. They only had video of the ziplining. WHAT A BLAST !!! I WOULD DO IT AGAIN !!!
