So worth the additional expense as the guide was able to take my friend and I around at our pace friend had a knee injury. Despite the slower pace we still saw all the areas on the tour which he graciously extended for us as we were the last tour of the day. Viator also arranged this tour to start slightly later than advertised as we were coming from the airport and wanted to maximize our time as much as possible.

This was a great way to look around the old city and to be told the history of Quebec City. On the day we went it was cold, the footpaths were covered in ice and it was raining, not a good combination when you are not used to these conditions. However our guide tailored the walk to allow us more time inside with less exposure to the elements. As we had another day, when the weather was much more favourable, and this allowed us to walk around again and see some of the sights Simon our guide had pointed out to us. Simon also very thoughtfully suggested a couple of very nice restaurants to us. Thank you Simon, well done.

This is the BEST way to see the beautiful City. Our guide, Jean-Francois, was incredible. Different than group tours where there are dozens of people, difficult to hear and feeling intimidated to ask questions, there were only 4 of us in this group and it was tailored to US. Besides seeing all of the traditional highlights, Jean took us into parts that most tourists don't ever see. He was very knowledgeable, humorous and personable and also gave us incite to the Quebec mentality which is very different than the rest of Canada. Although it was a bit more expensive than a group tour, the extra was money well spent. Highly recommended!!!!!

It was a lot of standing around and listening to our guide talk about history. He was difficult to understand, when he did walk, he wold walk way a head of us which I thought was very rude. He did not engage with us at all. This tour may be very good with a different guide.

Simon was amazing! He really customized the tour for us, showing and talking about the construction processes of the building and taking time to demonstrate his deep knowledge of the area, the history, the restaurants. Our guide was Laura, who, although an English speaking guide, spoke with such a strong Italian accent, that it was very hard to follow and we quit the tour a half hour in. We were also looking for more in terms of how the Colosseum was built, and she seemed to focus more on the gladiators and the killing that took place.

Jocelyn was the best! The weather on the day of our tour was cold wind coming off the river with sideways rain but Jocelyn was so engaging and knowledgeable that we wanted to keep walking along with her through the elements to learn more about this amazing city! Our private walking tour with a Simon was very enjoyable. He was extremely pleasant, friendly, knowledgeable and flexible. Simon adapted the tour at times to meet our personal interests. W learned a lot about the history of Quebec as well as the current political and cultural status. Simon even took us to some of his favorite shops and we got to see the walls of the city.
