Fantastic day tour. This is a full, long day tour, but worth it. Once you get into the Fiordland National Park, the waterfalls are amazing. Pray for rain as this increases the number of waterfalls you will see.

A long day but thoroughly enjoyable. Our guide was fun and informative. He was also attentive to the needs of all the passengers. We liked that it was a small mini bus rather than a large group. It is a long drive to Milford Sound but we had lots of informative commentary and stopping for a barbecue which our driver prepared for us was a treat. The cruise on the Milford Sound was amazing - scenery is stunning and very peaceful. Well worth seeing. Of course there is then the long drive back but our driver had a movie for us - made in New Zealand of course, which we all watched with increased awareness and appreciation. Great tour. Recommend it.

This was a very long day, made enjoyable by our personable and knowledgeable driver/guide, Rob. Well worth the time if you want to maximize your experience in a short period of time. We were picked up on time at our air b and b, picked up some others, and headed out. Beautiful sights, well-planned pit stops, entertaining and informative narrative.

We are a family traveler 2 adults, 1 kid. This tour shouldn't be missed. Our tour guide and BBQ bus driver - Chris was amazing. He's an expert. The road travel was long, but it was worth it. We didn't have other options as well as it as raining and cloudy. The BBQ lunch was great! we had fund in the rainy Fiordland National Park. This small group tour has also an advantage as we sort of had a customized tour. The Milford Sound tour was amazing and the best! First time that we saw as many waterfalls. Also, the small group on the boat gave as great views and pictures of Milford Sound. The rain made it even better to have as many waterfalls. We also saw a seal. Definitely a must and we'll do this again when we return to Queenstown. Indeed, this is one of NZ's most photogenic places.

We really enjoyed our driver/guide, Chris. He was funny and knowledgeable. The side stops were varied and interesting. We especially were impressed with the power and two views of the falls. Even the cold wind couldn't keep us from enjoying a wonderful meal provided by our driver. Because of the rainy weather as we approached our boat tour, we had quite good views of the falls. We liked having the smaller group on the bus and boat as it allowed more options to get good photos. An interesting Kiwi movie was shown on the return trip, keeping it from getting boring.

BBQ took a bit of long time. We skipped and did not see famous Mackay Creek/Eglinton Valey, Mirror Lakes, and Monkey Creek. We would wish to see those instead of taking long BBQ time. Very simple and small lunch is enough.

Very nice tour with a fun guide. Food was good. We had bad weather but the rain surrounded us with plenty of waterfalls so it was still worth taking. Extremely beautiful nature on the drive to the Sound.

A fantastic day. The BBQ bus was great fun and we stopped off at various points on the way to Milford Sound and saw many interesting sites. This was a small group tour and our guide was very friendly and informative. We stopped off for a BBQ at a lovely spot by the river and had an enjoyable lunch before reaching Milford Sound. The cruise itself was great and the scenery was amazing.

Postcard photos is what you'll gain from a tour into a Milford Sound. What a beautiful place to visit! To get close up into the waterfalls was pretty amazing. We saw a school of dolphins and sea lions during our ride. Our driver was very knowledgeable and since we were on time he made a few pit stops along the way. One in particular was Mirror Lake where you could see the reflection of the blue sky off the silky water. I would highly suggest booking this tour.

The BBQ minibus picked us up from near our hotel and we enjoyed the day with only 8 other people which was great. The weather was good when we left Queenstown but clouded over and started to rain as we were having lunch. The bus driver stopped and cooked a BBQ for all of us - plenty to eat. It may sound grim as the clouds closed in and rained heavier but it enabled us to see some of the 200 waterfalls on the way to Milford which were spectacular. The boat trip took us out of the Sound and was a bit choppy. The rain was heavy by then but again if it had not rained we would not have seen the waterfalls. Just go prepared.

We had a wonderful day out, Nigel our driver was amusing and very friendly making the long journey pass very quickly. the BBQ was well presented and delicious. The cruise was amazing and we were lucky enough to see the dolphins close up to the boat. would highly recommnend.

Rob was an excellent guide. He was funny and knowledgable about everything we did. We stopped and saw so much Milford Sound was absolutely breathtaking, but I think my favorite part was the drive up.

Amazing place. Our guide, Chris, was really good - very informative about the area - went the extra mile for us and kept us laughing as well with his sense of humour. Magnificent, beautiful, rugged area of New Zealand and not to be missed. The drive was long, but the result was worth it and if people don't fancy the return trip by road they can at an extra cost as you would expect arrange to fly back to Queenstown.
