Absolutely fantastic!!! One of the best tours I've ever experienced. Must do in Champagne!! Also, our guide Ana was an absolute gem!

This Champagne tour and tasting was the highlight of our visit to France. Our tour guide, Martin, was charming, grew up in the region and enjoyed sharing his knowledge about Champagne. The Tasting 101 lesson was fun, interesting, informative and delicious. The Champagne paired lunch was superb and served in a warm, cozy setting. The private tour of a small Champagne producer was extra special and personal versus commercial. We highly recommend this tour to anyone who loves Champagne!

Ended up having a private tour as it was only my and my husband who booked the tour: Martin our guide was great, very friendly and helpful. As it was low season, big champagne houses were not open but we still had a great time in Epernay. Champagne class was very informative.

Drinking Champagne in Champagne! This tour was so much better than the trendy Vueve Cliqot and Moet tours. I enjoyed so much getting to freely sample the champagne from smaller champagne houses and visit the caves. I even brought back a few bottles that I could never get in the states. This tour was one of the best tours I've ever done! A wonderful and unique tour with just 7 of us. I felt special, unlike most of the touristy champagne venues.

This tour was one of the best tours I've ever done! The guided tour throughout the region was fantastic! The class on how to make champagne was amazing, we learned so much! I already have and will continue to recommend this to any of my friends going to Paris. Excellent opportunity to get out of the city and into the champagne region. Despite all of the amazing things we saw and ate in Paris this was the highlight of our trip to France!

A wonderful half day experience. Mathias was very accommodating when I called to let them know my train was arriving late. Martin gave me a full rundown of the process of making champagne which was engaging and interesting. We had two wonderful tastings, and did a tour of a small winery. Excellent

Great half day with a knowledgable guide. Value for money but would have been good to stop in the champagne avenue of Epenay. Reasonable amount of champagne tastings and plenty of information about the area.

Great tour, exactly as advertised and more. Our guides Mathias and Louise were extremely knowledgeable, personable and enthusiastic. The champagne houses visited were friendly and welcoming. Couldn't have asked for more. 5 stars .

Learned so much about champagne and how it is made. The guides were knowledgeable, spoke English well, and were very fun and friendly. We got to taste approx. 12 different champagnes - all of which were amazing. And the prices per bottle to buy were pretty reasonable. We only wish we had done the full day to experience even more with this group!

We participated a half-day tour from Reims to Epernay region, and it was a great experience well worth the cost. Our guide Kathy was a native from the region with an international career in champagne business, and had recently started the job as a guide. She certainly had all the knowledge you could expect about champagne and making it, and she was also telling it all to the tour participants with great devotion and in a nice and fun way. Seemed to enjoy the work a lot, too, so we felt very lucky and could not imagine how to be guided any better. The trip included a class with explanation about the process of making the wine, and then tasting a few different products, trying to discover the different aromas - and that is not very easy, but now we feel at least a bit more knowledgeable about it! There was a stop at a very nice viewpoint with vines all around, and then a visit to a small producer, where the actual process and caves were shown to us. A tasting of the products of this house completed the trip before returning to Reims. To find things to criticize is hard the only thing that comes to mind is that when sitting on the back seat of the van while driving towards Epernay it was at times a bit hard to hear what our guide was telling. Told about it to her, and she agreed and said they should arrange a mic to solve the issue. Overall an excellent tour!

Our tour guide Matthias was wonderful. His knowledge of the region and the making of champagne was complete. The half day tour lasted about 5 hours. I wish it could have been 10. The region is beautiful. We stopped a a couple of locations where it looks like the vineyards go on forever.

I cant say enough. Just a wonderful and uniaue tour. With just 6 people and a tour of a small champagne house, this was a special retreat into a world unlike most tourist venues. Just do it, you will not regret it

Our guide was very knowledgable and friendly. Her English was excellent and her passion for the Champagne region was great. I really enjoyed seeing the family run business and sampling their champagne, which was excellent. The master class was interesting but if you do a half day tour instead of the full day tour, you really don't get an opportunity to do a full tasting because the class focuses on the difference between a champagne that is too young for resale and more aged champagne. I would have preferred to have the concepts of the class explained in a more condensed fashion and then do a full tasting where some of the class could still be explained.

So much fun and a great value! The tasting class taught us how to pick out different flavors and how to read the labels to discern where the grapes came from and the quality, etc. I had no idea how tedious the process of making champagne can be! My favorite was the tour of the family owned winery, P. Lancelot-Royer. The owner's wife gave us the tour, walked us through every step of the wine making process, and graciously answered all of our questions. We were treated to several tastings from the family winery-all of which were delicious. The day came to a close at the top of a hill over looking the gorgeous scenery with a glass of Moet bubbly. We had an awesome group of 8 Americans. Our guide, Lorilei, was super fun, informative, and spoke perfect English. By the end of the trip, everyone had exchanged social media contacts and it felt like a day spent with a bunch of friends in an unbelievably picturesque location. Absolute perfection. Worth every penny.

This is one of those tours that is worth every penny! Matthias was prompt, professional, and yet affable and really enjoyed sharing his knowledge with us. His affinity for the area in which he grew up shone through! We learned a bit about identifying various characteristics in champagne, went out into the vineyards and toured a small producer's impressive grounds, along with a tasting of several of his champagnes. It was a long, leisurely afternoon, filled with beautiful scenery, Mattias' fabulous guidance and CHAMPAGNE!!! Don't hesitate to book this...you won't regret it!

I had a fabulous time on this tour. Being able to have a private tour in Reims and Epernay was a dream come true. At one point I just stopped taking pictures just to relish the views. The Champagne Education was very informative and really allowed us to get a clear picture of the Champagne process. Our guide went over and above to make this a once in a lifetime adventure. I plan to return to take the full day tour!

Matthias was charming and knowledgeable, and the tour was the perfect mix of sight-seeing, educating, hands-on learning and laughing, and tasting. We arrived by train on a day trip from Paris, and spent the morning touring the cathedral and the town. Matthias picked us up as promised at the train station for the afternoon tour, and we had a truly enjoyable afternoon before he dropped us off for the evening train to Paris. We two couples traveling together would highly recommend this tour.

Our guide Matthias was raised in a Champagne house, where his family made and sold their own label champagne. Needless to say, he's well informed.

An excellent, short introduction to the Champagne region of France. We thoroughly enjoyed both the introductory 'lecture' with tastings and the tour and tasting at an independent Champagne producer Yann Alexander. The opportunity to chat with the Champagne maker's wife in a group of only four people, while sampling her range of products, was relaxed and ideal.

This trip provided a great opportunity to see what the Champagne region has to offer in a short space of time. We particularly enjoyed the Masterclass and the visit to the family vineyard and it was great to see some of the countryside. 2 additional people joined our group of 6 which did limit visibility in the mini bus when driving from venue to venue. We also joined a 2nd group which on the one hand reduced the intimacy of the tour but on the other increased the ambience. We had booked this tour to compliment a visit to the cellars of a famous champagne house and it did this perfectly. The guides were knowledgable - particularly Matisse. Would recommend.

This tour is an excellent experience from start to finish. Pick up and drop off from your hotel in Reims or Epernay is provided. The tour starts with a small history lesson on the region and education on what goes into Champagne. The Master Class teaches you a lot and also allows you to sample 3 types of Champagne for comparison. This is followed by a trip to a independent grower with a stellar wine cellar that is carved into the surrounding chalk hillside. Another 3 types of Champagne are provided and you will be smiling if not full on giggly. Thankfully fresh croissants were available to help soak up some bubbles. The tour is capped with a visit to Hautvillers church where Dom Perignon is entombed. Great tour provided by truly great people. Would go again in a heartbeat.

We planned a last minute New Year's Eve trip to the Champagne region and were worried that we would not be able to take any champagne or vineyard tours due to the holiday. Luckily Matthias was able to accommodate us on Dec 31st which I think speaks volumes about his dedication and customer service. We were picked up at our B and B in Lagery in a very classy and comfortable Mercedes van and driven to two different champagne houses in the area. Both were small, family owned operations with long and interesting histories. We much preferred this over visiting an overly commercial juggernaut Champagne house like those found in Epernay. Both tours were excellent and actually presented/provided by the owners founder in one case which was really special. Matthias' connections in the Champagne industry are evidenced by the fact that he was able to arrange, on short notice, private tours and tastings at these champagne houses on New Year's Eve. Matthias also displayed his vast experience and knowledge of the champagne production process by providing a very detailed description of each step of the process. At one of the houses we were even given a tour of the vineyards and a live demonstration of the yeast disgorging process which was pretty cool.

This tour was amazing. The guide picked us up from the train stop in Reims upon our arrival from Paris. From the luxury van and friendly guide to the excellent champagne and local atmosphere. This is not a tour of commerical champagne houses. All houses were in the country side and each house gave a different feel. One of the wine makers even gave us samples of the in-progress wine from different tanks before the wine underwent the 2nd fermentation. Of all the wine tours we have been on in California, this was by far one of the best. The guide even reserved us a table for lunch at one of the local favorites in Reims.
