We had such an incredible day, one that we will never forget. Our driver and guide, Mido, took great care of us all day long. He made sure we knew everything about the places we were driving through. The lunch was top notch, we bought their home made olive oil, wine, and limoncello, and the view was epic. I could go on and on, but I will keep repeating the words, fantastic, excellent, one of a kind, and over the top, etc. If you are travelling to Rome, book this tour.

What an amazing day trip!!! I recommend to anyone thinking about taking this trip. I was hesitant to book it since it was such a long day and alot of time in the car BUT i am so glad we went. Our tour guide Mido was the best! He went above and beyond. He made sure we got great pictures, made sure we were comfortable, told us alot of history, and just made the day such a wonderful experience. The drive to the coast was beyond breathtaking.. I was a little nervous at first since reading the reviews about people getting carsick but Mido drove like such a professional I was totally fine. Our van had 3 other people who were so nice- we all had such a nice time together. The tour of pompeii was so amazing too such a great experience. I really cant say enough good things about this tour. FIVE STARS for sure!!!

Our driver and guide Khan picked us up in a Mercedes Benz Vito. Sat up front for the view. It was a 3 hour drive to Positano on the Amalfi coast with a bathroom, coffee break halfway. You pass thru the cities of Napoli and Sorrento on the way and through some quite long tunnels before arriving at the Amalfi coast. The vistas on the road to Positano are beautiful with the Mediterranean on the right. The drive is not for the faint of heart. Positano is stunning in beauty and charm with delightful shops. Many selling there famous pottery and lemoncello. After leaving Positano it was about a 45 to 50 minute ride to our lunch stop. The restaurant was in a lovely gardens outdoors with the biggest bird of paradise I've ever seen. It was a delicious meal of a bufalo mozzarella and tomato salad, chewy Italian bread and al dente pasta with zucchini or tomatoes. Then on to Pompei and all its fascinating history from the plaster casts to the red light district. Our guide Gaetano is a 3rd generation Pompei guide who loved his job which you could tell by his passion.

I've never had to make a complaint like this before but we had one of the worst experiences on this tour. I'm going to list the good and the bad as to be fair._br/_ Good:_br/_ Pick up was prompt at 6:45 AM at the designated pick up location_br/_ Lunch was great! Beautiful views and amazing caprese_br/_ The tour guide at Pompeii was prompt and helpful_br/_ Bad:_br/_ the driver did not talk to us in the first three hours except for when we past Mt Vesuvius he said volcano and pointed out the window_br/_ when asked questions he did not understand what was asked or told us to ask the driver of another van_br/_ The driver was often on his very large phone that took two hands for him to answer. One to hold the phone the other to press the answer button_br/_ we were always waiting in the van for another van to arrive or to depart, we might as well have been in a larger vehicle and paid less_br/_ We had no details of where we were going, we past the exit for Pompeii and asked where he was taking us_br/_ We stopped at a hotel for food and drink even though no members of the entire party in our bus wanted to stop_br/_ We liked the two stops along the Amalfi Coast but had to wait for another group for 15 minutes each to finish taking selfies and group photos_br/_ We only had 1 hour at Positano, after stopping at three places. Barely any time to actually do anything in the town_br/_ We arrived promptly back at the van and waited 10 minutes for the other van of people to arrive_br/_ Had lunch and then waited for the other group to finish._br/_ We arrive at Pompeii at 3:30 and our tour guide is told he only has 1.5 hours to give the tour, we paid for 2 hours._br/_ The tour guide, Hector, states, As you learned on your drive here the Milky Mountains, We now know for sure we missed out on what our tour was supposed to entail_br/_ The tour guide at Pompeii is prompt and does the best he can but skips parts he wishes we could have seen_br/_ We get on the road and about 20 minutes later he pulls over to use the restroom, none of the guests asked to pull over and none of us get out. He could have done this while we were at Pompeii. He uses the restroom and has a cigarette, complains he has been up since 4 am_br/_ We are now 2 hours and 15 minutes away from Rome and I'm in the middle seat in the middle row, I notice the driver's eyes start to get heavy sleepy. He starts shifting in his seat opens his window and rubbing his eyes. He drifts back and forth in the lanes, goes from 160 kph to 100 kph in the matter a minute. He'll suddenly hit the brakes when he is startled. I finally ask if I can drive as I'm fearing for our lives, he says nothing is wrong. After a few phone calls he pulls over claiming we have to wait for the van that is 10 kilometers behind us. Why would we have to wait for the van when we were heading back to our hotels? He comes back with a Red Bull_br/_ He asks, in a snear, if we want to be left there and get a taxi back_br/_ After this he starts driving again but slows to a speed of 60 kph, looking for the other minivan, why are we waiting for another van when all we are doing is going back to our hotel?_br/_ He then proceeds to make calls and talk to people, once swerving to answer his phone and almost hitting the barrier_br/_ In total we lost 100 minutes, waiting for other people, vans, and the driver_br/_ Given all the poor experiences combined against what was sold I expected a full refund for all four tickets. Our lives were stake and there was no information given outside the Pompeii tour guide. I don't think this is common and thus I didn't want to post this on Viator as I think mistakes in hiring do happen and believe a good company can make up for the mistake.

This review is complicated. The locations themselves were breathtaking. Our guide at Pompeii was very knowledgeable. I would have loved more time in Positano. The lunch was also delicious. Locations 5. With that being said, as a few others have mentioned, the transportation was unacceptable for the price. Im willing to skip over the fact that the van went to wrong hotel despite 3 emails and a call where the tour operator validated that they had my correct hotel. The biggest issue is that there were 9 people including the driver in our van. That meant 3 people per row squeezed together, including the front row with the driver where there is a large console in the middle, meaning that the person sitting in the middle had no leg room, so the two front passengers had to share the limited legroom - for hours at a time. Also, be aware that semi private is very misleading: with 9 people being transported per van, during stops, 3 full vans would then offload so that there would be one larger group - there was nothing close to semi private about this tour.

We can't say enough good things about this tour! If you have more time, I recommend taking separate tours as each location has so much to offer but if you have limited days in Rome, this is the way to go. _br/_ The weather was completely uncooperative and rained most of the day but our guides made it special none the less. Salvatorre was our guide for Positano and Almafi and he was knowledgeable and super funny! We spent the entire day talking and laughing with him.

I loved this tour! I had my heart set on seeing the Amalfi coast but heard that driving there yourself is not a good idea. The driving was crazy, so glad I did the tour instead, it was worth every penny. Khan was our guide and he was awesome! He navigated smoothly through the busy streets and hairpin turns all while sharing interesting info about the sites we passed. The place we stopped for lunch, Dal Patriarca, was fantastic. Our tour of Pompeii was great too, I so wish I could remember the name of our tour guide in Pompeii because he was excellent and made the tour both interesting and fun. It was a very long day but well worth it!

We took this tour from Rome and glad we did. It's a long day but Pompeii, Amalfi and Positano are must see places. Wish we could have stayed the night in Amalfi or Positano. Our guide was very knowledgeable and friendly.

we recently traveled on this tour and although the guide was excellent, and the scenery fantastic, the travel within the van was less than great. There was a LOT of time spent within the vehicles hours of driving which would have been fine and expected, except that there were 7 travelers. This meant that 2 people were jammed in the middle without much access to see much of anything for hours on end. This is a BIG miss for this tour and I encourage you to check how many people are on it before you book it._br/_ in addition, we had provided our hotel location and the day before the tour at 3:00 p.m. I was asked to provide the exact address before 5:00 or we might not get picked up the following morning?? This caused undue stress and was NOT customer friendly. _br/_ We paid good money for a sight seeing tour and not having access 100 of the time at least to a window seat is NOT good value. Specifically when you are winding up and down the mountain side. I was disappointed by this and would not recommend the tour unless you are guaranteed a window / less than 5 people on the tour. _br/_ I note again that our driver / guide was excellent.

This tour was amazing. Our driver was engaging and entertaining. Pompeii is spectacular, and the on-site guide really enhanced the experience with his stories. Positano was gorgeous, and lunch at Chez Black on the Mediterranean was amazing. The drive up the coast was beautiful.. It rained in Amalfi, but that didn't take away from the beauty. Good shopping, and a great tour. Very long day, as we were going from 6:30AM until almost 9PM, but well worth it.

This is a great tour; however, the 2 hours spent at Pompeii seems unnessecary given the packed agenda for the day. Achille is an incredible driver, knowledgeable tour guide, and friendly person!!! He made the day so much fun. Amalfi and Positano are incredible and the photo stops are breathtaking!

Everything from the prompt pick up to drop off was timely and perfect. Achilles was entertaining and careful driver do NOT attempt to drive this route on your own..... and Gaetano, who is a third generation tour guide in Pompeii, is superb. Restful lunch in Positano and plenty of time to walk around. Long but wonderful day - SO glad we did this!!

Pompeii was incredible with a guided tour. The drive through Postiano was stunning and the stop off points for pictures are worth the drive. Beware this is an incredibly long day with a lot of driving. The small van for transport at full capacity is uncomfortable. Amalfi was just ok, but the rest was outstanding. My favorite part was the view of postiano and the restaurant our driver recommended was the best meal I had in italy!

Picked up at the hotel promptly. Driver very helpful and knowledgeable. Made every effort to make the day enjoyable. Amalfi Coast was awesome but a long drive. Pompeii was unforgettable . Even though the trip took 10 hours it was one of the best tours I have taken for a long time.
