We had beautiful weather and enjoyed this experience. The landscape is beautiful and I loved the gardens and flowers. The clothes on the clotheslines made me smile. Our guide was knowledgeable and we enjoyed learning information about the making of the movies.

How wonderful to be able to visualise the Hobbiton movie set. This amazing place enabled you to relive the movies and see the house of Bilbo Baggins and all the other Hobbits. We had a very knowledgeable guide named Charlotte who kept us in the loop with sites and gave us plenty of time for photos. Even our bus driver Danny kept us entertained with his commentary on the way there. Complimentary drink at the Green Dragon and then back home.Great adventure.

It was quite disappointing that we were not allowed to roam freely to explore the sets ourselves. The place was absolutely packed and we felt like sheep being herded around the sets, very little opportunity to stop and look as there was another tour group right behind us. Not really worth the money.!

Beautiful place but hard to enjoy and take good pictures. Too many people allowed in at once! Tour groups on top of each other. Lost out on part of the commentary as guide started taking before we were all close enough to hear. Was not quite the magical experience we hoped for.

After reading the books years ago and seeing the movies I didnt expect Hobbiton to measure up to my expectations.... but I was proven wrong. Hobbiton is outstanding! The gardens make it seem so lived-in and the Green Dragon was so neat. Peter Jackson and the Alexander family have done a wonderful job.

From a Grandma who hasn't seen The Hobbit or any of the the Lord of The Ring movies this was without a doubt one of the best experiences I have had, my three grandchildren were absolutely blown away by the tour from the Pick up at by our driver Danny alias Tom_br/_ He was a wealth of knowledge with lots of great information. He kept us entertained and gave us lots of good tips on our trip. Loved it well worth booking a tour with Viator. THE BEST

Even though it was cold and pouring rain, I would still recommend this tour! Our bus driver was funny and informative, the tour guide at the sight was knowledgeable and very helpful. I was there in September, which explains the poor weather, but with fewer fellow tourists, you get a better view!

This as a bucket list trip that met and exceeded our expectations. What the people running this have done is create a well oiled machine that allows visitors to travel to Middle Earth and experience the Shire. My sincere congratulations to everyone involved in this venture. It was an amazing experience to walk around and appreciate the scale of the undertaking. Pretty decent amunt of time permitted around the Hobbit Holes and in the Green Dragon.

Very fun tour, about a hour bus drive from Rotorua. A beautiful setting which makes you want to see the movies again. You get an pale ale or cider in the Green Dragon which is good but they only gave us 15 minutes in the crowded Shire gift shop which was disappointing.

Wow, can't say enough about this tour. Hobbiton set is amazing, guide was great, plenty of time to take photos as we walked around. Bus driver didn't allow us any time to shop for souvenirs at the end of the tour so was VERY FRUSTRATING. We actually had to make an itinerary change to go back on our own. Also, Tucker, our bus driver, was very nice but was falling asleep during the drive back to Rotorua. I had to keep talking to him to keep him alert. He crossed the center line a lot! It was scary.
