Unless you want transportation to the missions, I don't recommend the trolley tour because of the drivers.

My husband and I recently experienced the Alamo Hop on Hop off Trolley Tour. We enjoyed it, found it very informative, interesting, and easy to use. Our tour guide was Perry. l A big shout out to him. He was a plethora of knowledge. My only complaint was scheduling on my part. We booked on a Sunday. This limited our time at the missions Church was in session till mid day. Worth the and worth the time.

Jenny was the BEST! However, we were told that the tour would begin at 9. No direction about exchanging e-mail voucher at another location which did not open after 9. So being ready to leave on the tour at 9 and being delayed was annoying! - I could have slept longer. AND not being able to drop off at the Texas culture museum was BAD. We booked Viator because we had a wonderful experience in Seattle, but would consider another hop on hop off option next time in San Antonio.

Covers 3 of the 5 missions and starts at the Alamo. Drops off a bit far from the Tower

Great way to see the sights of San Antonio at minimum cost. Trolleys ran on time and guides were very informative. It allows you to take your time at each stop.

A few more trolleys during the prime portion of the day would be helpful--

Leroy was great. The other driver was awful and made me feel like the tour was a waste of money.

Seats uncomfortable and very noisy motor - hard to hear driver.

We have taken several hop-on hop-off trolley tours in the past and this was by far the worst. The trolley only came by every 45 minutes, which wasted a lot of time, and one time did not come at all. It turned out that one of the two trolleys in service had broken down and we were left to walk home. The next day the single trolley ran a 1 hour timetable, resulting in even longer waits. I would not recommend this trolley.

We were disappointed with this trip. Some of the stop off points were closed so we couldn't visit and the buses were not as frequent as we would have liked.

Excellent tour amiable driver guide, however, check with local vendor for departure times. We almost missed the 'next' bus, thinking we were more than a half hr early.

Trolley drivers were great, very informative. Great way to get to parts of San Antonio that are not within walking distance of the downtown hotels.
