An excellent way to see all the sights of the City. The tour guides were very knowledgeable of the history of the city and were very entertaining with their narratives.

Seeing sites this way is the best way to see what you want to see. However A/C in all buses could be better.

We did this on July 4th 2017. I enjoyed the tour but was very frustrated at first because we couldn't find where to start the tour. Signs are not posted very well in San Antonio Market Square area for the Hop On Hop Off. If it wasn't for a kind gentleman who asked if I needed help I would have gone back to my hotel and given up!

Too noisy

The area is so small the hop on/off isn't really necessary. A little pricey for what you get. Also was disappointed I couldn't buy the boat tour online the same day.

The waiting time for the buses was too long, over 30 minutes on that day and the buses were to crowded so that I had to stand several times.

could not find where the bus picks up. Had to walk far to find it.

Excellent deal. Utilized the 2 day deal. The bus was easy to get and once we identified the places where it stopped. There's lots of them. The buses run often and we never had to wait more than 15 minutes to catch another. Note that the buses come in a variety of colors - just watch the signage on the bus to be sure you get on the right one or ask the drivers who were all very helpful. Most of the guides on the bus were very informative and humorous. Learned a lot about San Antonio. Would recommend this service to anyone for it's ease and affordability.

San Antonio is a very nice place especially seein the Alamo. Unfortunately we were only there for a few hours and ran out of time and didn't get to take our hop on hop off Tour. We definitely recommend taking the tour as it is very hot in San Antonio and to take the tour bus would be a great way of getting all around.

The tour was ok. We had booked this tour ahead of time thinking we were going to go to different areas but actually it went to the same areas as the Trolley tour we did earlier in the trip. Our plans had changed and we were able to switch our tickets for a different day, which was appreciated. I got the impression that this was peak tourist time, which was fine because our wait time was not long. However, the bus driver didn't call out some of the stops along the way so that we could get out to explore. We were able to backtrack once we got out at a different location, but would have been good to stop closer to the destination because it was hot and humid. Again, it would be great to have signs posted for pickup. We needed to redeem our prepaid voucher for tickets and again needed to locate the store front to do that. For anyone thinking of doing the tour in the future, this was at stop 1 alongside the Menger Hotel in Alamo Plaza..

It is a great way to see all the major sights in a city. You can get off at a sight that may interest you and spend as much time as you want and then hop back on the bus when you are done. It makes it easy to see the sights without having to drive through the crowded city and find parking. You can go around as many times as you want in a day. The drivers are all usually very friendly and helpful. You can start at any point on the tour and end at any point as well. You can get a route map of the tour on line and they also have maps on the buses.

It was terrible - _br/_ all they did was advertise food establishments. I'd never go on it again.

A very good value for the money. You dont have to worry about driving to all of these places, parking, or figuring out where to go. You can never go wrong with Hop on Hop Off tours!

This bus was a great way to tour the downtown, historical area. Park your car, and let them do the driving. Liked the ability to step on and off. Tour guide was average, not exceptional.

We enjoyed it. Our first driver was the most informative. The other drivers just played the tape. But we enjoyed it and it was certainly a convenience.

The bus was hot. Also, they did not come by every 20 minutes as advertised. We arrived at the bus stop at 4:50 and were supposed to be picked up from Tower of the Americas at 5:10 pm.. They never showed up until 5:30. Bus driver was friendly though.

I felt that there was too much recommendations of places to eat and drink rather than the history of the area. I usually do the Hop-ON-Hop-Off in cities I visit, and was disappointed with this tour.

I enjoyed the hop-on-hop off double decker San Antonio tour. The tour guides were knowlegable and funny. I would recommend it.

The staff very friendly. The narratives on the bus were not loud enough so I was unable to hear any of the information. San Antonio is such a beautiful city!

Tour guides/drivers were annoyingly corny. When purchasing tickets I mistakenly thought that the tour would contain missions other than the Alamo, so it was a disappointment.

We saw a lot of sights and all of the drivers were nice and friendly. One bus was kind of dirty but the rest were nice and clean.

Review by:   William W,    July 2015 Review: 1 star rating: I do not recommend this
The bus switched after we loaded...were hot...failed to pick us up after we got off for lunch at Stop 5 and we waited nearly an hour in the hot sun, dropped us off at over 2 blocks away from the Cathedral stop...we were so disgusted we did not even take the bus back to the Alamo but chose to walk back to our parked car. Furthermore, we did NOT use the second day of the pass because of the rudeness and problems experienced the first day.

San Antonio is small so probably not nessecary to see the tour on the on and off the bus, as you can walk most places. If its raining like it was when we visited the bus was great! we always do the Hop on and off in very city we visit first so we can learn the history and get our bearings. The co and tour itself is well worth it!

Review by:   Karen F P,    June 2015 Review: 2 star rating: It was OK, but could have been better
The bus did not run every 20 minutes as we were told. After we hopped off we frequently needed to wait 30-40 minutes so a lot of time was spent in hot humid weather waiting for the bus. Even when we called the bus was often 10 minutes later that we were told by the operator. The bus drivers were hospitable and helpful.

The actual bus tour was worth it but the wait was long too pick up the ride at the Market Square. We decided to walk to town instead.

We had the same driver on a couple of trips. he was very friendly and made us feel welcomed. Sorry, i don't remeber is name but he was a big guy, not fat really just big, and of mexican decent. The routes were right on.

We got the 2-day pass but saw everything the 1st day. The 1-day pass is sufficient.

I purchased tickets at home for the bus tour. I wasn't sure if we had to find a ticket office to get our passes downtown. You go straight to the bus and they print them right there. Very easy and no extra steps to get on. We couldn't find the stop at Aztec Theater, so we ended up walking to the Alamo so we wouldn't miss the bus. We sat on top to enjoy the views, but it got too hot. Inside and downstairs had A/C that worked. Was a good balance from top to bottom!

A great way to get around - most places are walkable but great to get to the spanish markets and the famous bakery!!

The tour is very convenient. The bus stops are quite challenging because the City of San Antonio does not permit bus stop signs to be posted. The bus I was in was a bit warm. But I was extremely warm in San Antonio. Overall, a great orientation tour of the city.

I have been on many hop on and hop off city tours, and this was by far the worst. The driver didn't even mention the two key highlights of San Antonio, The Alamo and Riverwalk.

Some interesting areas to see but maybe not so much to stop and visit. For the price combined with points of interest, just a "C" rating. It's a little ridiculous that the city won't allow bus stop signs along the route-very tourist unfriendly.

Could not hear the audio recording of the tour. Poor sound system. Sitting on top of the bus gave way to smelling fuel fums. I had a two day pass but one tour ride was enough for me.
