Shannon Scott, tour guide was outstanding. He really explained Bonaventure's plan and had greatr stories of many of the interred. Sorry the tour wasn't longer! I could have listened for another hour ot two.

Absolutely wonderful! The tour was supposed to be 90 minutes but it was over 2 hours and full of interesting stories and information. We only touched on a small part of the cemetery but it was incredible to here of the famous, not so famous and the unknowns. Shannon has a very fluid way of storytelling and despite the fact it was incredibly hot and steamy, we couldn't get enough!

The tour was great and our guide, Alyssa, did a wonderful job. Her stories were fun and fanciful and anecdotes well-told. Just be aware that not all are based on fact. I did some research and checking upon our return home and found that to be the case. However, I'd take the tour again - you gain so much insight into what makes Bonaventure what it is and Savannah what it is!

We loved the tour. Shannon Scott has a wealth of knowledge and delivers it with style. We saw the highlights of the oldest section. The walk wasn't too strenuous, but you have to stand for two hours. Don't bother checking in at the cemetery office. They are not connected with the tour and do not provide a Southern welcome. Read: I sat on the floor waiting out of the wind.

Me and two of my best friends went on this tour yesterday with Shannon Scott. It was one of the best tours I have ever been on. He was amazing with the amount of information that he knew and how he presented it. You get way more than you pay for. We all three definitely recommend this tour.

Walking through the cemetery with Shannon was a 2 hour historical journey through the lives of Savannah's former citizens. The stories were clearly researched with passion and desire for authenticity. Facts and humor blended together made for an interesting window into Savannah's rich past. Would do the tour again, and would probably learn things I missed while looking around the haunting beautiful grounds.

This was an excellent tour. Shannon was a great storyteller and had us captivated by the stories he related of the lives of those buried at Bonaventure Cemetery. Shannon covered a lot of ground explaining the uses of cemeteries in days of old as gathering spots to the stories of the Mercer family to Little Gracie. There was much to learn and Shannon presented it in a very engaging manner. We would highly recommend this tour.
