We left Seattle early and spent one day in Victoria. Unfortunately the smoke from wildfires prevented us from seeing anything until we got to the straits and the wind lifted the smoke. However, we made the most of our time in Victoria. Enjoyed the high tea at the Empress, did a carriage tour, shopped in the historic district and dined at a rooftop bar. I would give this tour a 5 except for the smoke.

My wife and I ages 42 took the Victoria Clipper from Seattle to Victoria for a day trip during the week. The trip went very smoothly. The boat was half full. Most of the table seats were taken, which was absolutely fine for us. Victoria is worth seeing. We took the double decker bus tour to get a layout of Victoria. We then did some sightseeing, eating, shopping and spent quite a bit of time on Beacon Hill. The weather was amazing. Overall, the trip was well worth it.

The ferry to Victoria was comfortable with good service, and food and drink available. Also had outside deck for wind and spray. The most amazing part of the experience was the Butchart Gardens, a short 30 - 40 minute bus ride from dock in Victoria. Beauty abounds in those gardens...unforgettable! The town of Victoria provided a very nice walking and window shopping experience. Also, we had a nice dining experience. One slight negative - a weather-related 3 hour delay waiting for the ferry to pick us up for return to Seattle. The wait was aggravated by a seemingly indifferent attitude toward the comfort of the passengers during that wait. There were no public announcements about the availability of facilities, nor was there any effort to provide food or drink to the patiently waiting passengers.

Sadly only in Seattle for a day and a bit but loved the vibe of the city. Ate the best food we've had in America at the Herb and Bitter Pub in Capitol Hill - impressive!

I took the Clipper sailing from Seattle to Victoria on the Friday morning of the Labor Day weekend. The experience was a little less comfortable than my previous trip because the vessel was crowded, with every seat taken. And the combination of children aboard plus a bit of a swell led to the bathrooms getting messy and put out of action a one point during the 3-hour crossing. But the berry breakfast was an improvement from before. I think they may put on extra sailings during the long weekend, but I'm guessing that was not the case on that particular day.

The Clipper was an hour and a half late and this was very inconvenient for the person picking us up and for our hosts for the night.

Very disappointed that our ferry left 2 hours late and took 2 hours away from us in Victoria.
