We left Seattle early and spent one day in Victoria. Unfortunately the smoke from wildfires prevented us from seeing anything until we got to the straits and the wind lifted the smoke. However, we made the most of our time in Victoria. Enjoyed the high tea at the Empress, did a carriage tour, shopped in the historic district and dined at a rooftop bar. I would give this tour a 5 except for the smoke.

My wife and I ages 42 took the Victoria Clipper from Seattle to Victoria for a day trip during the week. The trip went very smoothly. The boat was half full. Most of the table seats were taken, which was absolutely fine for us. Victoria is worth seeing. We took the double decker bus tour to get a layout of Victoria. We then did some sightseeing, eating, shopping and spent quite a bit of time on Beacon Hill. The weather was amazing. Overall, the trip was well worth it.

The ferry to Victoria was comfortable with good service, and food and drink available. Also had outside deck for wind and spray. The most amazing part of the experience was the Butchart Gardens, a short 30 - 40 minute bus ride from dock in Victoria. Beauty abounds in those gardens...unforgettable! The town of Victoria provided a very nice walking and window shopping experience. Also, we had a nice dining experience. One slight negative - a weather-related 3 hour delay waiting for the ferry to pick us up for return to Seattle. The wait was aggravated by a seemingly indifferent attitude toward the comfort of the passengers during that wait. There were no public announcements about the availability of facilities, nor was there any effort to provide food or drink to the patiently waiting passengers.

Sadly only in Seattle for a day and a bit but loved the vibe of the city. Ate the best food we've had in America at the Herb and Bitter Pub in Capitol Hill - impressive!

I took the Clipper sailing from Seattle to Victoria on the Friday morning of the Labor Day weekend. The experience was a little less comfortable than my previous trip because the vessel was crowded, with every seat taken. And the combination of children aboard plus a bit of a swell led to the bathrooms getting messy and put out of action a one point during the 3-hour crossing. But the berry breakfast was an improvement from before. I think they may put on extra sailings during the long weekend, but I'm guessing that was not the case on that particular day.

The Clipper was an hour and a half late and this was very inconvenient for the person picking us up and for our hosts for the night.

Very disappointed that our ferry left 2 hours late and took 2 hours away from us in Victoria.

Sights great and Victoria Clipper trip/ride was easy and comfortable. However, Canadian customs in Victoria was 1 hr and 40 min to clear through 2 agents...ridiculous! Suggest Clipper and/or Viator file a complaint if they wish to affect a change in visitor perception.

The reservation process was extremely easy. The representatives were very patient and provided great information. The trip to/from Victoria was very enjoyable and the crew was extremely helpful. Going through customs was very easy. The city of Victoria is an amazing place to visit, I strongly recommend this trip.

First, I did not go to Seattle, because I live there. This trip is the return half of a round trip Seattle TO Victoria. The trip itself was very nice.

A variety of seats are available, some at tables. Super service. The staff even gave us a newspaper to read about the visit of Will and Kate which coincided with our arrival in Victoria harbor

Ease of travel between to fabulous cities, including a comfortable bus, scenic ferry, helpful and amusing driver. The ferry was a highlight of the tour, sailing between islands and offering food and vistas of a beautiful country. We gladly tipped our driver who transported us so helpfully and lifted all our heavy bags. I highly recommend this mode of transportation.

I noted that the price for a round trip ticket, direct with Victoria Clipper was 176, whereas I got a better deal with Viator RT. The service was delightful all around, and highly recommended, from the Port of Seattle, on Pier 69, to the heart of beautiful downtown Victoria, in the Inner Harbour. I did the round trip all in one day, as I was only in Seattle for a short trip. They give you approximately 7 hrs in Victoria, from when you actually get off the boat, and when you disembark again. Be certain to allow sufficient time for the customs on both ends, going and coming, as they do allow only 200 USA to be carried into the US, when your stay is only 48 hrs or under, duty free. If you exceed this, your entire purchase is taxable, with no exemption. There is a duty free store on board the ship, food and beverage services, comfy seats, 2 decks, and all is cash free on board, so be prepared. They also offer tours, if you so decide to do that, while in Victoria. I did the truly magnificent Butchart Gardens tour, which ran about 4 hrs total. If you love flowers, it is one of the most beautiful places on Earth! And Canadians are very friendly and funny too. A truly GREAT day out, I made the sacrifice of early rising, as we departed at 8am, and weren't back until a little past 9pm, with customs still ahead...BUT SO WORTH IT!

Arrive early, get your coffee on the ferry! Getting to the ferry terminal for the one way crossing from Seattle, Washington to Victoria, British Columbia was a cinch by cab. However, don't even think about buying your coffee as you wait for the early morning crossing. The line is super long and so slow. Instead, get onboard and run a tab at the coffee concession booth. You'll get free refills and prime seating. Just head there as soon as you board. With Viator we were the first to board and it felt great. The crossing itself was easy, smooth and a great introduction to Victoria. Plus the ferry was clean, had plenty of restrooms, and a great gift shop. Terrific trip.

Get there early to catch a good seat on the boat. They have seats around tables and regular seating like an airplane. Be prepared to listen to people throwing up from sea sickness. We had fog in the morning. couldn't see much. It was an ok experience.

Don't use speedie shuttle They made me miss my flight and cost me 200 for a hotel.

Ride was smooth. There is a relatively small back deck on the second level for fresh air. Refreshments served onboard. NOTE: hearsay - I've heard that if waters are rough the clipper won't run to Victoria. No money is refunded - possible caution.

The day we sailed to Victoria, B.C., there were large swells in the open waters. The staff gave us all anti-seasick pills and informed us we would be taking an alternate route through the islands. We were worried it would be a very wild ride, but it ended up being very smooth and we had beautiful scenery the whole way. It did add an extra hour to our trip but it was not a problem. No one was seasick when we arrived sand we had a lovely time. Thank you.
