This was a long but fabulous day. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable and we thoroughly enjoyed the train ride. The canyon is unbelievable. However, with this trip there isn't much time to explore the canyon on your own.

We loved our tour guide but felt like we did not get to see much of the park. It took five hours to get to the gates even though it is only a two hour drive. We also only got to see four view points which is not a lot for a twelve hour tour. We expected more time in the park but it is worths doing.

Most amazing day of touring the Grand Canyon. We had a great tour guide that was very upbeat as well as giving us in depth information about the Grand Canyon and the entire area around it. We had plenty of time for pictures and our lunch was more than generous.

We had an amazing tour of the Grand Canyon with David last Monday. If we could hand pick a tour guide it would be David. He was so friendly, knowledgeable and a great sense of humor. Without this tour we would not have seen all the best sights in the Grand Canyon._br/_ Loved the small group and hotel pick up. Frequent rest stops was a nice added touch._br/_ I recommend the IMAX movie and El Tovar lunch, both were amazing. Well worth the money.

Great west tour driver seemed to drive so fast and one should know if they sit to the back of the vehicle that it will be a relatively rough drive. I had quite a headache when i got home. He also talked so fast and continuous that it wore me out. As far as the actual places the south rim was great. We also saw the IMAX 'movie'. It is put on by National Geographic so does have some nudity is showing the natives in the area. Otherwise it is very good. El TOvar was nice place to eat and felt so waited upon!

Daniel was our tour guide and he was very interesting and knowledgable. We had only one day to see the canyon and this is the tour we chose. The helicopter ride was our 1st glimpse of the canyon and it really took all of our breaths away. This is beautiful country and just speaks for itself. But thanks to Daniel, we got all kinds of interesting perspectives on all kinds of different levels, from the wildlife, to geology and history of the area. There were just enough stops to get different perspectives of the canyon. We got beautiful photos. He really made our one day there more than complete. Highly recommend.

This tour absolutely exceeded our expectations. I had been to the Grand Canyon via another tour company but my this was my husbands first time. While viewing the Canyon never gets old as it is ever changing, I feel like I had never seen the Canyon before thanks to our incredible tour guide at Great Western Tours, Daniel. His knowledge and passion for the Canyon really enhanced the trip. We saw so many different views of the Canyon. I can't say enough. We included the IMAX and lunch at El Tovar which we also recommend. If you are looking to tour the Grand Canyon stop searching and book this tour and hopefully it will be with Daniel.

Our Grand Canyon South Rim tour included the 1st class railway ride into the Canyon. Our tour guide, Daniel, was extremely knowledgeable and had a true compassion for, not only the geological side of what we were seeing, but for his job as well...we were exceedingly pleased we were part of his tour. The downside of the tour was when we split with Daniel for a few hours and took the train into the canyon. Both my husband and I were really looking forward to the ride but it fell short...we found it very boring...the scenery never changed and we felt it the entire 'train' experience was lacking. I would highly suggest foregoing the train and staying with the group...the folks who did saw an iMax movie and were able to grab lunch before they arrived at the Canyon. When the train dropped us off at the Canyon, we had about 90 minutes before we met back up with Daniel tour guide and the rest of the group. Because we missed lunch with the group, our 90 minutes of 'Canyon viewing time' was used viewing the Canyon and finding/eating lunch. The remainder of our time with the entire tour group was great...Daniel took us to a variety of 'viewing spots' giving us the chance to see the Canyon from various locations. Well worth the time/money...I gave it 4 stars only because of the train experience.

Dave, my tour guide, was amazing! I highly recommend this tour, takes the trouble out of driving, trying to figure out where to go to see the best views, etc. Very informative and easy. The only thing I would change would be to skip the train ride, unless you are looking for some downtime to relax during the day.
