This tour must be hard to organize, so thumbs up to Petra and the tour company for keeping it all together. That said, OMG the group was so enormous! It was hard to enjoy the sights with so many people crowded together. Guide at Halhambra volunteered to take pictures of everyone, which caused the tour to drag on very slowly. Albaicin tour was good and worth the little extra . Overall the tour was fine, but I will advise my friends who plan to visit Granada in the future to do it on your own. Take the train and get the audio guide and do it on your own time. You won't be dragged down by a huge group of people.

Alhambra was breathtaking. I felt in awe both inside the palace as well as the garden. I rather enjoy our walk around Albaicin. From Albaicin, we could have a great view for Alhambra. When we were having lunch break in Albaicin, a local barber invited me to join him for wine and tapas. He did not speak English. His friend told me that his name was Pepe, a local barber for 70 years. Fernando and Pepe were showing me great hospitality. They treated me wine and tapas. Pepe invited me to see his house. I thought it was odd to visit a stranger's house in Albaicin, but I did! Pepe asked me to send him hard copies of photos as he was an old man with traditional style. So I print out the photos and sent to him. Our local guide in Alhambra was a sophisticated young man who spoke very good English. He explained everything well about history and architect. Alhambra was such a beautiful and mysterious place.

Early morning but very easy to find the meeting area. The tour itself was great and the tour guide was fantastic. The tour covered everything there and had lots of great background information.

Doing this trip all by ur self in one day may not b possible keeping in mind the location and I story behind it. V could have a better guide with even knowledge of structural technical details of building than just the histororical story of the grand monument. Altogether worth it

We were initially not sure if we wanted to take time to visit the Alhambra while in Spain, thinking it looked a bit overrated. We were wrong, and are so glad we decided to take the tour!_br/_ The Alhambra was incredible. It used to be a city, with multiple different sections and buildings full of intricate details. Visiting it was like taking a step into the past, and the palaces were magical. Seeing the Albaicin quarter before was also interesting, and the viewpoints it provided of the Alhambra and the mountains framing the city were beautiful. Our tour guide was so friendly, positive and patient._br/_ The only thing we wished was that the Alhambra tour could have lasted longer and/or that we could have had more time to explore on our own and visit the gift shop. There is so much information to absorb, it would be nice to either have a little time to jot down notes or to buy a book about it. With taking the Albaicin tour, we also were not able to go downtown. However, with the distance from Sevilla, time constraints are understandable. Granada may be worth taking an overnight trip to if your visit allows.

It was a well organised tour. However, the Albaicin walk is inadequate. More could have been shown especially the areas where the Moors lived. The guide for the Alhambra visit Jenny was very good and cooperative.

A packed day of travel. No time to eat or shop. We had 3 crying babies on our 3 hour bus trip each way. Tour guide Alberto was great, and some good info on the bus ride about Andalusia. Pick a good weather day, and bring some snacks. Skip the Albaicin tour unless you're up for five hrs walking. Fun

This trip ran smoothly from start to finish! Commentary from our guide on the bus and at the Alhambra site revealed an in-depth knowledge of the history and customs of this region such that interacting with the site became a memorable experience not to be missed!_br/_ Brian and Johanna, Toronto Canada.

Great way to see the Alhambr while staying in Seville. It was a perfect day trip and the guides were all excellent. Easy pickup and drop off and everything went well even though it poured rain the last 1/3.

The three of us who took this trip were glad we did. The bus was comfortable, our guide Pablo or Pedro, sorry was excellent and the guide to whom we were turned over for the Alhambra itself was very good. All in all, an excellent trip, marred only by the communications difficulties with the local provider. Emails suggested one pick-up point, a telephone call another. I even received an email from Viator or local provider, addressed to me personally, asking for my name! Never a return email to my inquiries. My name was not on the list of participants when the bus arrived but I was identified by a telephone number. So much difficulty sorting out this trip perhaps I am too used to US standards. But a much enjoyed trip once started.

The Granada Day Trip is pretty much as described. The guide that went with us on the bus and the guide at the Alhambra were both great! Everything went very smooth considering a lot was crammed into one day. Would have like maybe a few more minutes at the rest stop for that was a bit rushed.

A visit to Granada and Alhambra is a must if your in Seville. This tour managed to do the job well, although some changes would help in the future. Our hotel pick up was actually meeting at the office and then walking ten minutes at 6AM. The bus was comfortable for the three hour drive to Granada. Petra the guide was pleasant and helpful, but did little other than shuttle us, and offered little of Spanish history or details of towns we drive through. The local tour guide at Alhambra Jenny was fantastic and that was of course the highlight. The visit to Granada was nice, although if you do not do the optional Albacin walking tour, you are dropped off 15 minutes outside the main tourist areas. Overall, a nice trip and the Alhambra is amazing.

We had minimal time in southern Spain and as much as we tried, could not fit a night in Granada in our plans. Taking this tour was a perfect way to satisfy the desire to see the Alhambra, which is just absolutely amazing. Be prepared for a long day because of the drive it's beautiful too but its totally worth it!

Would not recommend this tour. The Alhambra is definitely worth seeing, but I guarantee you will have a better experience touring it on your own. First of all, our guide Petra was really friendly but her English was hard to understand. When we got to the Alhambra we were combined with another group of people that spoke French and given a different guide who was Italian. He seemed very knowledgable, but his accent was even thicker and more difficult to understand. We also had to wait around for a really long time while he kept going back to the gate to get more and more people for our group, that ended up way too large. The place was pretty empty and would have been a great day for getting a lot of good pictures, but being in a group of 30 people made people-less pictures near impossible. We also wasted so much time on waiting around for more group members that we were rushed through the gardens at the end. Go on your own, get an audio guide, go at your own pace, and get better pictures! We also added the Albecin tour which was great for getting pictures of the Alhambra from a distance at St. Cristobal.

It was not clear we would be dropped off in Granada be on our own. The Alhambra tour guide was excellent just a bit hard to understand at times due to a thick accent. I would recommend this tour , but make sure you are happy to be on your own during the Granada portion.

Granada is a must see place. Its Alhambra and garden are captivating with Muslim/Mudejar Art. _br/_ Enjoyed the old town walk Jewish quarter which was interesting and beautiful. The view of Alhambra palace from the town was spectacular. Thanks for our guides both day trip and Alhambra Palace for their knowledge and insights.

Bus couldn't pick us up at our hotel so we had to go to their office about 1 km away from our hotel at 6am to meet our guide only to find out the bus was parked 50 meters away from our hotel! Bus trip was 3 hours with one stop in between. Once we arrived we went straight to the ticket office to meet our guide for the Alhambra. He was good and well informed and walked at a slow pace to accommodate everyone. We were given earphones so we could hear him even if we were not next to him. The Alhambra is beautiful but packed with people. If you're going to take photos maybe it would be better to come at an odd hour we were there by about 10am. After the Alhambra we decided to skip the optional tour and we were dropped off at Granada and given instructions to find our way to the cathedral for a quick tour there and lunch we ate at El Aguador which was excellent!. After lunch there was only enough time to walk back to the meeting point to join the bus back for the drive back to Seville. We asked those that did the optional tour and they said all that happened was that they were driven to a look out point then there was some free time for lunch and that was it for about an extra 50! _br/_ Our guide Pablo was good and talked about the cities we passed along the way. He made sure no one was left behind. He spoke several languages and the info was given in spanish, english and german i think. It was a long day and we were back in Seville by about 7pm. The Alhambra is a must but doing it this way may be a bit rushed and tiring. I would definitely do it another way go to Granada and stay there for about 2 nights so you can see the place thoroughly.

Great trip both our guides Cipriano and Alberto were a fountain of knowledge. Would have appreciated a bit more time in Granada to do some shopping. However we did not appreciate the fact that our date was changed st the last moment 6PM on the day before the trip. Also did not appreciate to 10 minute walk from the tour operators office to the bus.

Ok, its a long day on this tour, but we went from Seville, so couldn't be helped. The organization was very good and the whole day_br/_ went smoothly and without any problems. Our guide was very informative and courteous. We had lunch in the old part of Granada_br/_ which was a bit foreboding as there seemed to be a lot of homeless people around and people who looked like they hadn't had a bath in a few months. The palace itself is fabulous and worth the trip by itself, but we did think the Alcazar in Seville was much better and more beautiful. In all, take this trip if you only have a day to spend in Granada, well worth it.

The trip from Seville to Granada was a long one but well worth it. The bus ride was quite comfortable with stops both ways for snacks and a bathroom break. Pedro was entertaining and he knew a lot of the history which made the time pass quickly and enjoyably. The tour of the Alhambra Palace was fabulous. William/Guillermo was excellent. His knowledge of the Alhambra was extensive and he made the tour an wonderfully unforgettable experience for all of us. My husband, daughter and myself were very impressed and glad we decided to take this excursion to the Alhambra Palace. We also signed up for the optional tour to the Albaicin. Although this was an interesting area to visit, I cannot recommend this tour. Perhaps it was the day we were there. It was a national holiday and very few restaurants were open at the time we arrived for lunch. We were on a limited timetable so getting served quickly was important to not hold up the tour. The limited open lunch establishments were crowded and service was mediocre at best. The tour seemed delayed waiting for participants to finish their meals. We ended up leaving one restaurant after waiting at a table for 10 minutes to try to order our food and ended up at a buffet restaurant that our guide, Pedro, was kind enough to direct us to.

We left early in the a.m. to get to Granada which is a three hour bus ride. The hostess met us at the office and then walked us to the bust which was about 1/2 mile away in the torrential ran. The driver did a fine job. The bus hostess read from a script. When we arrived in Granada, we had about 1 hour and 20 minutes to see the cathedral and have lunch. Our meet up time was 1:20. Lunch time at any good restaurant in Spain is after 1 at many or other restaurants more like 1:30 p.m. We found a place for some soup and a take away focaccia. The hostess didn't even bother to escort us to the cathedral. So our getting there was slower since we had to look up the way by map. Then the rush to find a decent place to eat for the 1:20 p.m. group meet up. Anyone who knows Spain is aware that the meal at lunch time starts at either 1 or 1:30 p.m.. Our arrival at the Alhambra unfortunately was in the pouring rain. Our assigned guide, Phillipe, was outstanding. He guided us through the palaces and the gardens. His commentary was excellent. Then back to the bus for the trip home. Arrival in Seville was not at the bus office, but once again 1/2 mile away. Navigating in the dark is quite daunting. So I asked asked our hostess to show us the way. In summary the actual Alhambra experience was quite wonderful. Our hostess left much to be desired.

This was a wonderful trip and well worth the very long day it entails. The Alhambra is amazing. Our guide and coordinator Petra on the bus ride and to organize us for the Alhambra tour overall was ok. She seems a bit in disarray from the beginning. Unfortunately this led to a miscommunication on whether our group wanted the English or Spanish speaking tour. Her presentations, questions and instructions on the bus to Granada were both in English and Spanish. She spoke very fast and switched back and forth often. She asked for a count of those who wanted the English tour but somehow were missed that question although none of us in our group remember her asking. When we got to the Alhambra we gathered with the English speaking tour and of course her count didn't match up with what she originally had. So there was a mad scramble to find us another English speaking tour since there were too many in the for the Alhambra guide in the 1st group. We ended up with a Spanish speaking group and the tour guide was kind enough to translate everything into English. This was fine but we all felt bad for the Spanish speakers because it extended time for their tour. We also have Spanish last names and we thought that maybe they assumed we wanted the Spanish speaking group. Wrong assumptions. None of us speak fluent Spanish! Anyway, I would listen carefully to your coordinator on the bus or perhaps at the time you board the bus the coordinator could ask a that time what language you would like for your tour. _br/_ Other than that complaint the tour was well worth it but makes for a very long day.

Overall, I had a very good experience on this trip as it was well organised. The pick-up was about 10 minutes late, which I didn't think much of at the time relevant later. I did the additional tour of the town before the Alhambra, which was nice. Once we got to Granada, the group of 50 people were split in to those who had the additional tour of the town and those who did not. The logistical considerations and the fact that the guide was doing EN and SP at all times made it quite impersonal, but efficient. One thing that was really poorly handled, was the transition from the lunch time to the Alhambra. There were 11 of us, who were 6 minutes late to the meeting point as we were waiting to pay in a restaurant that was taking ages to get their act together!. We showed up, literally 6 minutes late to find our guide had just left! No warning, call, note - nothing. Now, while I understand that there were a number of people to organise and she was on a schedule, I thought this situation could have been handled far better. What our guide did was leave us stranded in a town where getting a taxi is difficult, creating a general sense of panic that we were going to miss the Alhambra tour the main event... When we called her, she basically said 'well, make it to the Alhambra by 2pm or you can't see it' - offering basically no help and speaking in quite a condescending tone. This situation caused a fair amount of stress as everyone had paid over 200 to come on this tour. It would have been useful had she done three things: a. Told us that there was a 2pm entry time for the Alhambra that was not flexible we were in Spain - 5 min here and there rarely is make or break! b. Told us where the closest Taxi stand is to the meeting point, in case we miss the group, and c. Left a 5 min leeway in the meeting time, as when several people are paying for lunch etc. there is inevitably a few minutes delay. I think Viator should set clearer expectations of their providers, as customers have little visibility to the provider when booking through the website. I did the tour on Oct 9th, 2017.

My only negative for this trip is something that is unavoidable. Granada is far from Seville, and people have to be picked up from different places around the city. Therefore, there is a lot of time on a bus, and the day is very long. That being said, the Alhambra is something not to be missed when visiting Spain. Magnificent building and grounds. Specialty guide at Alhambra was excellent. He knew everything, even the name of every plant and flower. We had plenty of time to see everything and the optional side tour of the old part of the city was good. Weather was perfect blue skies, hotter than I would have expected in October. FLowers still in beautiful bloom. I highly recommend if you don't mind the ride.

LONG DAY!!!! the amount of people should be limited . There were 30 of us on the tour bus mostly all of us spoke English only a few spoke Spanish. So the tour guide asked for volunteers to go with a different guide once we got to the Alhambra. One couple did volunteer and ended up being left at the Alhambra by this other guide. So to make a long story short our trip was rushed and we weren't even able to enjoy a leisurely lunch and enjoy walking around Granada.

This was a very rewarding and long day. We had a very early start for the long bus trip to Granada but there was a stop for morning tea before arriving at Alhambra. There we linked up with an English speaking guide who gave us very good information about this amazing place. It was crowded at the venue but that didn't detract from the enjoyment value. We opted to take the special walking tour of Albaicin whilst the rest of the bus were dropped in Granada for lunch. We were left to our own devices a bit on this part and there wasn't any real wow factor in this part of the tour. On the way back the guide and the driver dropped us off exactly where we asked which was a help for our following days activity. A long day, but worth it

It's a very long day and no toilet on the bus. Be prepared. With such an early departure there isn't much to see in the dark, but there could have been some more interaction between the guide and the travelers as we drove, more descriptions of the country and area and customs. The guide at The Alhambra had to do two languages, so I think that slowed down the pace. It got a little boring. Really liked the optional walking tour by our on board bus guide of The Albayzin. Definitely recommend the skip the line entrance tickets. Place got packed later.
