We would have liked to see more of Shanghai, rather than Jade/Pearl and Silk museum. We booked the trip to see the country not local trades and would have liked to spend more time at these attractions rather than rushing

I only wish we had booked a full day! Our traveling companions were terrific, the guide and driver were excellent. We had some great shopping opportunities. The city is beautiful, and this tour was a great way to be introduced to it. Recommended!

That was a good tour with knowledgeable guide. We enjoyed the Shanghai museum very much as well The Jade Buddha Temple._br/_ The pearl factory was also interesting. We recommend it!

total waste of time and money_br/_ it took an hour and a half to pickup people from 3 hotels_br/_ the plan was to go to the shanghai museum.... they did not tell us before that its closed on monday and took us to modern art exhibition_br/_ who wants to see modern art in shanghai ????_br/_ total waste of time .

We were given a terribly inexperienced tour guide. She didn't know how to control or lead a group. It was likely deliberate as well. 80 of the 3 hour tour was spent on pearl and silk shops waiting . We were dumped in the shops to encourage us to spend instead of sitting around. _br/_ the tour guide was memorizing off a script. She just breezed us through the real tourist destinations we paid for. The most laughable was at Xintiandi. We got off on one side of the district then walked across the shops and restos. Presto, done in 5 mins and we're off back to our hotels.LOL!

We chose this tour to see temple as and the museum in the morning_br/_ The tour guide was really ill and should not have started the tour._br/_ We were lucky to see the museum but didn't get to see much more as the guide told us he needed to go to hospital and we arranged for the driver to return and pick us up but this did not happen and we had to walk about 5kilometres to get back to our hotel

I enjoyed my tour. My guide was knowledgeable and friendly. The only comment I have about the tour was the museum line was too long so I had to skip that part of the tour. The guide replaced that with another activity to make up for it.

This is a half-day option of a full-day tour, and I'm really glad that I only did the half-day options instead of the full day. I think the full-day is a great option if you prefer guided tours, but it is a long day and can be very tiring, especially during the summer when it's blazing hot. I wanted a tour that gave me a glance at the major sites in Shanghai but lef me time in my day to go explore on my own, so I booked the afternoon tour for my first day in Shanghai, and the mornings no tour for the next day. For the afternoon tour, Frank was my guide, and for the morning tour, Alina was my guide. Both of them were very friendly, patient, professional, and knowledgeable. Both were highly competent English speakers but were also Shanghai locals and were able to speak about their personal experiences growing up in Shanghai and watching all of the architecture shoot up around them. Both of them met me on time in my hotel lobby, and were transparent about the itinerary. I had great conversations with them - they are interested in learning about their tourists so that they can find points of connection for your throughout the tour.

Very friendly and informative tour guide. However, not as well put together as I would have hoped for a half day. Did not get to see the museum because the lines were too long and we got there too late and the half day lasted less than 3 hours because the lack of museum threw off the entire day.

The tour was just the morning portion of a full day tour. I was the only one taking the half day option. Unfortunately we spent the first hour just going around to pickup the other passengers in their hotels. I was the first pickup. When everyone else had their lunch the bus driver took me back to my hotel in Pudong.

Frank was a wonderful tour guide! Such a warm and well-spoken person, with an excellent command of the English language, and who knew a lot about Chinese culture and the financial district at the Bund and its history. He covered the pearl-making and silk-making industries, taking us to two factories, which was a great surprise. Frank answered any and every question posed by our group. I would take this tour again :-

This tour was rather a disappointment. The guide fell ill after about an hour of the tour and had to return to his_br/_ home. He was a nice fellow, good English - but you could tell he was not well. He didn't want any money but we paid him_br/_ half-pro e at any rate. Better luck next time in Shanghai!! We continued visiting the city on our own - no problem - except_br/_ for the language!

Outstanding comprehensive tour with a wonderful guide, Frank...a true gentleman, fluent in English and very knowledgeable. We were so fortunate that the tour turned out to be for our family of 3 only, so it was very much a private tour and almost at our own pace, in a most comfy mini van and covering the more important Shanghai sights in half a day plus an optional tea ceremony. We loved the tour so much and will never forget the breathtaking views from the Bund over to Pudong in perfect light just before sunset...it was simply spectacular. thank you so much Frank...you were wonderful to us. The only downside, and we were annoyed by this...a visit to a silk store would have been fine had we not been harrassed by really hardselling staff...a real waste of time in a fabulous city with so much else to see. Highly recommended orientation tour of the city.

Great afternoon on my first couple of days in Shanghai. Very knowledgeable guide and nice small group. The only annoyance was that there was a family of 6 4 children who were noisy and not remotely interested in what the guide had to say as we toured the buildings and gardens. It would be nice if the guide feels they can take control and remove noisy participants who are spoiling it for the other paying guests. Still a good tour though, and I was dropped off right by a Metro station, which was very thoughtful.

We had an unexpected delay in Shanghai due to the airline. Our travel agent suggested a half day tour to take up some of the extra time. The tour ended up as a fantastic idea, our only complaint would be that we didn't sign up for the full day tour.

Half-day tour included museum medium interest level with Money section probably the most interesting, Jade temple many different Buddas with only a slight explanation of which one is which, and pearl shop 10 min information about pearl classification and 30 min of sales pressure. Suggest considering Old and New Shanghai tour instead.

The pick up from the hotel was very easy, and the guide was nice. The visit to the museum was an un-guided 1 hour visit. The visit to the Jade Temple was very good and our guide, Frank, did a nice job explaining things to us. The tour was changed and instead of going to the pearl place, we went to the silk place. This was horrible. This was a 5 min explanation of how silk is harvested from silk worms and then 55 minutes of being stuck is a store to buy their products and the guide, likely getting some type of kickback. I was trapped there for an hour for something worthless. Besides the Jade Temple, the tour wasn't anything that I couldn't have done by taking a train, easily, from my hotel. The guide was nice but didn't speak much while we were driving from site to site. He talked a little but had a captive audience but didn't take advantage to tell us about shanghai while we were on the van. For my 1 tour that I took in Shanghai....I wasn't very satisfied.

Loved this tour! Our amazing guide, Frank and #39;s, perfect English and the hotel pick-up/drop-off made my first day in China fun and relaxing! I would highly recommend this to anyone. It incorporated the city sites, culture, and a little shopping into one package.

Our guide was very good and professional and informative. The downside was the sales pressure at the pearl place and silk place. We were not expecting that and did not want it. It was not clear from the information that it would be that way. Again, our guide was very good and this should not reflect badly on him.

This was a waste of money. It was billed as a half day tour. Little did we know that it joined the full day tour after lunch. We were to be picked up at 12:30. They didn't pick us up until 1:15. Then we were told that the full day tour was eating lunch and we wouldn't start sight seeing until 2:00 o'clock! We saw two sights and we dropped of at 4:00! That being said, the guide, Joy, was very nice.
