Camel Safari with Optional Bedouin Dinner

Sharm el-Sheikh, Egypt

Can you truly say you have been to Egypt if you haven't ridden a camel? Find out for yourself on an afternoon Camel Safari through the desert, and finish the day with an authentic taste of Bedouin tea. You also have the option of dining on a Bedouin dinner including the unique bread.

Whether this is your first, second or twentieth time riding a camel, it is sure to be an experience not easily forgotten. The one humped Dromedary Camel is an animal well adapted to the harsh Egyptian deserts and will be a trusty vehicle on your safari, though maybe not the most comfortable!

After your camel ride (approximately 1 hour) you can sample Bedouin tea with Habak, and you have the option to indulge in an authentic Bedouin dinner, including the unique Bedouin bread.

Please note
: Due to demonstrations currently taking place in Egypt, some tours may be slightly impacted. This is not expected, but in such cases, alternative attractions may be visited for our customers' safety. We are in frequent contact with our local suppliers and guides all over Egypt, and they report that all tours are operating as scheduled. Should the situation change, we will update this information and customers will be notified of alterations or cancellations to tours.

We were picked up from our hotel by a very enthusiastic guide who told us about the local area, the desert and the good places to visit and to eat. We arrived in the desert and were greeted by many children with camels. We were then guided to a man with two camels and were walked around on them for 10 minutes. It was bumpy but enjoyable however, I would have preferred more time on the camels.

This was the second time I have done this tour with Viator, and sadly the 1st time was much better. Although this tour was still enjoyable it was heavily let down by the guide who had come along with us. During my previous camel safari, the guide had stayed with us at all times and gave us more information about the Bedoins and their lifestyle than I could have imagined there was to know. However the second time I got a guide who was more interested in talking to the other guides and his Bedoin friends than giving us any information. This wasn't so bad for me as it was my second time on this tour and the previous guide had been so good, however my Fiance hadn't done this tour before so for him this was even more disappointing. At times our guide was no-where in sight which was a little disconcerting. Sadly after this second experience I probably would not recommend this tour to other people as it has gone downhill from where it was a year ago.

Me and my fiancee really enjoyed the camel ride and spend time with bedouin. The guy from Aviator (apologise can't remember his name) was really friendly and kind. He gave us lots of information about the beouins' s life style. We took some amazing photos while we were there. I really recommend a trip a like that.

Amazing trip, we took our little girl who is only three and she sat on the camel with me - the whole experience was just out of this world. Dinner was amazing, people were so welcoming! Would recommend its no cheaper in Egypt!

Fantastic from start to finish! Private pick up and private camel ride just our family of 3. We were then took to a camp where my 7 year old made bread and the Bedouin's had prepared some dinner for us. Really worth the money and the view of the stars at night was brilliant. I have used Viator for previous trips and as usual, was not disappointed. Thumbs up and good value for money. Our driver Hathim was very knowledgeable and spoke very good English - thanks Viator.

Great fun, a little uncomfortable maybe...lol. We went as a family and found the young Bedouin children enchanting as they led us through the desert. Family members had camels according to their place in the family so my husband was up in the clouds somewhere!!!! ( as we were a family of 6) If you are in Egypt this is a must. Our tour guide also had some great info on camels and how they are used in the deserts.

The Private Camel Safari with Bedoin Dinner excursion was fantastic! It was a real thrill to ride the camels for about an hour and then go to the Bedoin camp to make bread, watch sunset from a cliff, enjoy tea and a wonderful dinner, smoke shisha and conclude with some traditional Bedoin dance. My only complain is that the time went by too fast! Great time!

Really enjoyed the trip. Our guide was excellent, he looked after us really well and gave us lots of interesting information about Egypt and the bedouins on the way to the experience. He was happy to answer all our questions as well throughout the trip. We would have liked a bit longer on the camels and to have been given more photo oppertunities. Otherwise all really happy overall.

A great experience for myself and my 3 kids. We all felt well taken care of and very safe. Our guide spoke English very well and was wonderful with our young children. Although the camel ride was private, the dinner was with a lot of other people, including a huge tour bus full of people. That made it less desirable and definitely took away from the experience. Being with others would have been fine if it had been a bunch of other smaller groups that got together for the making of the bread and the dinner. Would have definitely preferred a more intimate experience after the camel ride. There is a reason we paid quite a bit for a private tour and didn't just book some big bus tour. I also think that the price should have been discounted for the children - ages 4, 5 and 7 - especially since the younger two shared camels with myself and my husband. Overall, I would recommend it.

Brilliant, this really is a must for anyone. We had a driver and guide all to ourselves. The guide was very informative and stayed with us at all times. My youngest son made bread in a Bedouin tent and we drank tea. We then watched the sun set over the mountains. It was well worth the money and an unforgettable experience. You do need a visa for this trip, as you are taken out of Sharm.
