If you are based in Sorrento your chauffeur will pick you up at the hotel and I will drive you to explore the Amalfi Coast area using all his experience and professionally. You will visit Positano, the jewel of Amalfi Coast, famous for the spectacular geographical conformation, the colorful houses and for shopping! Then after visited Positano you will head to Amalfi, a city known for history, maritime traditions, the Duomo and paper production. Usually here your chauffeur will give you enough time to arrange a quick lunch (at own expense) After lunch you will proceed to Ravello enjoying your relax and breathtaking views in a well maintained ambience which is rich of flowers. Marco was a great driver and extremely knowledgeable as a local from the area. He did all of the difficult driving while we could take in the beautiful views of the Amalfi coast. One of the highlights of our Italy trip for sure! Would definitely recommend to people who are looking for a way to see Amalfi for the day and don't want risk driving the coast.

I visited Sorrento once before and had a private tour by a different company of the Amalfi Coast. This tour, with Marco as our driver, was so much better. Marco had a lot of information to share, drove really well no motion sickness!, and was attentive and accommodating. We didn't have a set plan of things we wanted to do in each city but Marco was able to provide great suggestions. We liked him so much we requested his services for a ride from Sorrento to Naples airport! Great guy and great services. Definitely recommend.

This one one of our favorite days in Italy! Tony is so knowledgeable and passionate about the Amalfi coast, and it shows in his tour. He stopped several times for us to take pictures along the beautiful drive. He knew right where to stop for the best views, and had a wonderful lunch recommendation for us while in Amalfi. This tour was a perfect balance of sightseeing and private free time to enjoy a stroll through Positano and lunch along the water with my new husband. _br/_ In addition to this wonderful tour, Tony also gave us tips, recommendations, and history on the area that we were staying. He had great communication and we also used his company for private transfers between Naples and Sorrento. By far one of the best activities of our Italian vacation! Originally we were supposed to take a small cruise down the Amalfi Coast but it was cancelled two days before due to sea conditions so I immediately booked this tour and I am so glad that I did. The company owner immediately sent a text to me thanking me for booking and gave me his cell if I had any questions. Our driver and tour guide was Marco was the best and very personable! Marco asked us if there was anything in particular we wanted to see besides the original itinerary - we didn't have any other thoughts but he did take us to places and views that gave us the best perspective for pictures. He was very accommodating and had a lot of information about the history of the coast and its towns that we would have missed. I highly recommend this tour to anyone going to the Amalfi Coast and I would highly recommend Compass tours for any of your activities or transportation in the area.

We had an very enjoyable day with our private chauffeur, Tony, in an extremely comfortable Merc. Tony was very knowledgeable, friendly and obliging - he showed the best location for our photos, took some for us, and even advised on the best way for us to pose! The views were spectacular and we had plenty of time in each location - again making use of Tony's expertise on where to go and what to see. This tour was perfect for our short stay in Sorrento. Tony of Compass Tours picked us up at our hotel and we were able to customize our tour of the Almalfi coast without a problem. He was very accommodating all day long. We preferred a more leisurely lunch on the water in Amalfi so Tony made a reservation and took us to the perfect restaurant. We never felt rushed and had a perfect day taking in the spectacular scenery. We would never have been able to navigate the roadway on our own, so we were happy to have an experienced, safe local driver at the wheel. I highly recommend this tour for a very personalized and relaxing day.

Marco provided an amazing experience! He was courteous, extremely knowledgable, presented history and background in a format that was easy to understand and grasp. He took pains to offer up options and unique perspectives. We visited Positano, which was beautiful, then on to Amalfi, which was crowded with cruise ship visitors and then on to Ravello which was lovely and much less crowded. Marco was our driver/guide for the day and he was just great! He picked us up at our hotel and whisked us off to start our private tour in a roomy van. We began with a brief tour of the Sorrento coast and then went off to the Amalfi coast. He stopped several times for us take some breathtaking photos. He wanted to make certain we spent time on what we wanted to see and do. We spent time in Positano - so beautiful! Another great place we spent some time was Ravello. It is such a picturesque town! It was a wonderful day and would highly recommend this. It is so much more relaxing than driving ourselves or being crammed on a huge bus.

Our tour guide was Marco. There were 4 of us and he picked us up in Sorrento in a Mercedes Benz Van. He was very polite and informative. We had the 8 hour tour from 9am to 5am and you can customize your tour of the Amalfi Coast any way you want as long as you are back by the ending time so that is nice. Normally he takes you to 3 towns: Positano, Amalfi and Ravello with roughly an hour in each town but we decided to skip Ravello and go to the beach in Amalfi for a couple of hours instead.The entire tour was very good. The road is very curvy and narrow at times but the views are amazing. He stops 3 or 4 times along the way for a few minutes to let you take pictures. The first stop after you leave Sorrento but before you get to Positano is at a roadside fruit stand. The fruit stand operator has many different kinds of fresh fruit and you get to select which fruits you want in your fruit drink and he puts it all in a juicer and blends it up into fruit juice. The finished fruit juice was given to us in a 6 ounce plastic cup and then I heard the fruit stand operator ask Marco where we were from and Marco said Americans. We were then escorted over to some steps overlooking the sea and we were given about 10 minutes to take photos. As we were leaving we had to stop at the fruit stand again to pay and that is when we find out that our 6 ounce cup of fruit juice is 6.00 euros each ! We had four small plastics cups and we paid 24 Euros ! The fruit stand guy then gave us a small plastic bag, maybe 10 inches tall and 4 inches wide filled with some small pieces of fruit. It was good but it was still a ripoff. I wonder what the price would have been if we weren't Americans? I am 100 percent positive that all of the tour operators in the area get a kick back from these fruit stand guys because right before we arrived there we told Marco that we wanted to stop for a quick breakfast instead of just fruit juice but he insisted we stop at this fruit stand. For this reason I rated this tour 4 stars instead of 5. _br/_ ._br/_ .

My wife and I had Marco as our driver. He was great. Not only was he pleasant as a person, he was very knowledgeable, and tailored the day to what we wanted to see or my wife rather. This tour was a great way to see several villages along the coast and spend some time shopping, eating, and just getting a feel for each. Now we know which ones we'll visit next time we are in Italy. On another note, Marco's driving was perfect. He was able to get around the crazy drivers of Italy with a calmness that helped us feel more comfortable. He was also great on the winding roads, which helped my wife who can tend to have motion sickness. I'd recommend this tour to everyone.

We had Tony DuRocco, the best tour guide, knowledge, informative and really knows how to drive along the Amalfi Coast. We were a private party of 4, and he was prompt and on time at pick up to our hotel. Provided bottle water for us on our tour, took us to great overlooks of the Amalfi Coast, we could do anything we wanted but he did guide us and give us as much leeway as we wanted. We stopped at a little road crossing for the best pizza and salad that was dirt cheap and they say the pizza is for one, but really one pizza could feel 2 of us, the guys ate their own pie. We went to Positano, Amalfi and Ravello and spent plenty of time in each spot taking in all the culture. If we had to go again, not only would I use Viator but I'd ask for Tony again, top notch, informative, pleasant and on time. First class all the way!!

We actually booked two tours with Compass Tours. The first was a pick-up at the Milan train station, stops at Herculaneum and Pompeii with delivery to our apartment in Sorrento. Marco was our driver/guide, who was very friendly, informative and spoke very good English. The next morning, Marco picked us up for our Amalfi coast trip. Marco again proved to be very informative, and helped us pick excellent stopping places along the route. I would not change a single thing about our tours and everyone thought they were one of the highlights of our tour of Italy.

This was a full on tour of all the wonderful things you read about the Amalfi Coast. Our tour guide Nadia, pictured on the right, was the best. She was very personable, knowledgeable, and efficient. Free time at each location was short, but we had a lot of territory to cover in one day. This would be a great tour for those who have a few days here, so you can see all of it in one day and then decide where you would like to spend more time. You could probably spend the day in each location._br/_ I strongly recommend this private tour, because if you see a special photo opp or attraction you can stop. Not so with a larger guided tour that has a set itinerary.

Much better than going on large tour.. especially driving the windy coast the private car can get around easier and faster. Also had more time in Positano where large buses cannot park. My companions and I loved our driver, Tony. He was a wealth of information for instance, don't take black taxis, only take white taxis also, if you've booked this exursion and need transportation to one of the Amalfi Coast towns from the airport or train station, take Tony up on his offer made via text like two seconds after I booked this excursion to pick you up take it from four women who got royally screwed by an unlicensed taxi driver!. From our hotel in Sorrento, Tony took us through the town, telling us some of the history and information on the lemons you see everywhere, then he took us to Positano. He dropped us off and gave us some time to wander around. Positano has so many cute little shops. Then we went up to Ravello before making our way back down to Amalfi. Tony recommended a restaurant for us to try for lunch and arranged a table for us and it was super delicious. The shrimp in my pasta were so fresh I actually had to remove the meat from the shell myself. I'm not a huge fan of having to work for my food, but at least I knew it was super-fresh! Tony was friendly, professional, and super-helpful. We had booked an excrusion to Capri for the next day, but we were worried that we wouldn't be able to do it because the waters were too rough and the ferries weren't running. Tony talked with me for a few minutes after he dropped us off, looked up ferry timetables, and told me to reach out to him if we didn't end up doing our excursion and he could arrange for us to do something else. I highly recommend this tour if you want to see the highlights along the Amalfi Coast without having to drive it yourself drivers there are insane or take a taxi all the way up stayed in Praiano the first time, and it literally takes you almost a day to get there from Naples if you take public transportation.

Amazing! Marco, our driver was awaiting us at our hotel, so we did not need to wait for his arrival. We had arranged this tour in celebration of our 25th Wedding Anniversary, which was that given day, and in our booking we had also made the specific request for use of their Mercedes sedan instead of their Mercedes mini-van, and they kindly met our request. On route to Positano, Amalfi, and Ravello, Marco provided us with the history of the overall region, as well as for each little village along the route to the main towns, identifying their historical significance to the region and what distinguished each from the other. He stopped at several places on route to let us take pictures. Marco personalised the tour for us by offering options for the places to see and the durations to stay in each town. Considering the terrain of the Amalfi coast, Marco provided a very relaxed and unhurried drive letting us experience the panoramic views as much as possible. We had an amazing excursion with Marco and he will always be remembered as providing us with a very memorable experience for this sigificant anniversary.

Marco provided a safe, enjoyable, and relaxing tour of the Amalfi Coast. He was extremely knowledgeable, and his love of the area was evident through his words. Each morning started with Marco meeting us at our hotel, and once settled in our vehicle, he gave us an overview of the tour we had scheduled and provided commentary throughout the day. He was able to give personal information about the cities that was not usual on some of our larger group tours in other areas. Being a private tour, we were able to make scenic stops as we traveled along the coast, and we were much less rushed to admire the beauty of the area than a larger group tour. We actually booked Compass Tour Private Tour and Transfer through the owner, Tony Di Ruocco, two other days while in Sorrento because of the professionalism and willingness to provide us with custom tours. It worked out that Marco was our driver each of the three days, and by the time he took us to the airport on the third day, my husband and I felt as if we had made a new Italian friend in Marco. One of our best travel experiences ever!! Marco was absolutely amazing in explaining and showing the culture, geography, history, and ofcourse the scenery of the Amalfi coast. He kept us, a family of two adults and two teenagers, captivated the entire day with his knowledgeable details of the area. We had ample time in each town along the coast. This tour was entirely customizable and totally at our demand. This tour was definitely the best value I could find for the money. A must for anyone looking to explore the breathtaking however very treacherous drive through the Amalfi coast. We can't wait to go back and explore the area again soon!

Tony is a great guide and driver. This was our first time on the Amalfi Coast and Tony gave us an amazing rundown and introduction on the history of the Amalfi Coast! If you are familiar with the Amalfi Coast and/or have been here before, call Tony ahead of time and give him your priorities as far as where you'd like to spend most of your time Positano, Amalfi, etc. Amalfi Coast is such a stunningly beautiful area that it was just nice to sit back, enjoy the views and leave the driving to Tony. I couldn't imagine driving that road and trying to enjoy the Amalfi Coast at the same time. This was worth every penny!!

We would recommend this trip. This was our first time in the area, and Marco, who was with us for the day gave us an overview of the area historical aspects included, as we drove down the Amalfi Coast road. In our conversation with Marco, he made sugestions based on out interests, and adjusted the itinerary accordingly. Also, we were reassured by the care Marco took in driving the car - this, we learnt, was an important factor with the winding nature of the Amalfi Coast road.

This was a great personalized tour from the very beginning. Tony worked with us to coordinate our train and late arrival to make the most of our time touring the Amalfi Coast. We got Marco as our tour guide. He arrived right on time and gave us an amazing experiance along the amalfi coast. On the way he did not hesitate to stop at breathtaking view points and to explain us about the area. He even took us on special routes so that we can get a good view for our pictures. He stopped at a really fresh juice cart and at a place where they served the best pizzas we had while in Italy. It was so worth the price. _br/_ Highly recommend this tour!
