Private Day Trip to San Giovanni Rotondo to Visit the Shrine of Padre Pio from Sorrento or Naples

Depart from your hotel in Naples, Salerno, or Sorrento with your private driver. Travel east along the A16 until you reach Foggia, at which point you'll start up to the town of San Giovanni Rotondo, on the promontory of Gargano (the spur of the boot).

One hour outside of Foggia we reach the town of San Giovanni Rotondo. Visit the Cappuccini convent, the old chapel, and the crypt where Padre Pio laid at rest for 40 years.

After this first complex you'll move to the new Sanctuary opened in 2004 where the body of Padre Pio - now a saint - rests in a glass coffin visible to the pilgrims.

After the 2-hour visit you'll be returned to your hotel.
