Soufriere Island Delight Half-Day Trip From St Lucia

Discover the beauty and magic of St Lucia on a scenic drive to the town of Soufriere. This half-day tour will have you winding your way through banana plantations, tropical vegetation and traditional fishing villages. Upon arrival in Soufriere, admire the spectacular twin Pitons before visiting the Sulphur Springs and Diamond Botanical Gardens with its breathtaking natural waterfall.
Your guide will pick you up from your hotel and take you on a scenic drive along the west coast of St Lucia. En route to the highly celebrated town of Soufriere, pass through two traditional fishing villages as well as banana plantations, learning about the island’s tropical flora from your guide.
When you arrive in Soufriere, enjoy a magnificent view of the world-renowned Pitons; these UNESCO World Heritage-listed volcanic twin peaks are one of the St Lucia’s most beloved landmarks. Visit the Sulphur Springs in the Caribbean's only drive-in volcano, and view the bubbling waters from a platform a few hundred feet away.
Then, stroll through the enchanting Diamond Falls Botanical Gardens to the colorful, mineral-rich Diamond Waterfall, which descends 56 feet (17 meters) into a pool below – considered one of St Lucia’s greatest natural wonders. Walk with your guide past flowering bushes and shrubs, and be amazed by the natural beauty that surrounds you. Keep an eye out for St Lucia orioles, hawks and doves that inhabit the red cedar and mahogany forest, before returning on the drive to your hotel.
We enjoyed this tour very much. Our driver, Samuel, was very friendly and very knowledgeable of the areas included in the tour. Plenty of opportunity for photos. I highly recommend this tour.

This was a great tour - our Tour Guide Sammy was super knowledgable and friendly. Be warned that this is slightly longer than a half day tour - we didn't stop for a meal and while we had some snacks along the way, we made a lot of stops to visit with vendors and take photos along the way so we were very hungry by the end! Small group size so the guide was able to customize some of the stops based on where we wanted to go.

The tour was booked through Viator. I spent 20 mins on the phone in St Lucia costing me 12.00 to the local agent trying to find out the pick up time from our hotel!_br/_ The tour itself was very good, Chris our driver picked us up promptly and there was only one more couple so we had a very personalised experience. Chris was really pleasant and very informative. Saw all the highlights and had plenty of photo opportunities. A great way to see the beautiful island of St Lucia.

We took this trip last week while visiting the Rodney bay area in St. Lucia. We were picked up right on time and had a small group of 6 in our van. The driver was knowledgeable. His name was Sammy and he encouraged our questions. We had a delightful time and I would recommend this tour as a great overview of the country. My favourite part was the Botanical Gardens. Amazing to see this oasis of topical plants and the waterfall. note, that that the half day depends on road traffic. I would suggest you bring a snack or small lunch in your pack to eat when you are past lunch time on the way back.

The tour guide, Stan, was great and we got to see everything in Soufriere, However, from the north side of the island this is a very long ride. It took about 6-1/2 hours round trip and at least 4-1/2 hours were spent driving in the van over narrow roads with too many S turns. Beware to those who get car sick. A tour by boat might be a better choice.

This trip was the delight of our trip to St. Lucia! Our driver, Sammy, was a most excellent tour guide. He told us many interesting facts, pointed out things of interest, stopped for photo ops, and stopped by a bakery and purchased everyone cassava. This is a must do tour!!!

Brilliant from start to finish. Prompt pick up from Kim and Lesley. Due to a mix up with bookings at the next hotel we had to wait for a while. This did not affect the trip as Kim made sure we got a full trip and we actually got longer than we expected. Highly recommended. Botanical gardens fantastic.
