Tom, our guide arrived right on time. I'm glad we got a guide because I would not have found the sights in my allotted time. The weather was perfect allowing us to get great shots of Lake Tahoe, waterfalls and mountains. Tom has a wealth of knowledge about the history of Lake Tahoe. Outstanding outing! We were in the Lake Tahoe area for a wedding and wanted to see and photograph some of the scenery. Max, our driver and photographer, grew up in the area and not only knew the back roads to beautiful scenery but also the best placement to capture a GREAT image. As a plus, Max took a number of photos of my wife and I with some of the breath taking views as a backdrop.

I highly recommend the photography tour. Max was our tour guide and he was awesome. He took us to places we NEVER would have found if we did it on our own and then gave us tips on what settings to use on our cameras to get some beautiful pictures. Max was very knowledgeable about the Lake Tahoe area. We were able to go to several different locations: Emerald Bay, Fallen leaf, the ridge and the 3 Homesteads along the beach which all made for beautiful pictures that Lake Tahoe has to offer. Plus it was a good thing he was driving as I am not sure we would have been comfortable driving on some of the narrow crowded roads. He was even able to avoid traffic given he knew the backroads. Keith is the owner and he was very easy to work with. I would do this tour again if I ever get back to Tahoe. Money well spent!!!!

The tour was more of a photo shoot vs. a photography lesson. The locations were beautiful but I wasn't expecting to have my picture taken. If that's what you're looking for- the locations will provide some beautiful background. I would suggest that when the photographs are forwarded, you might delete those where eyes are closed, etc. it certainly was a good way to see the sights in a concentrated 1/2 day.

Where to find the most scenic places in Lake Tahoe? My wife and I were picked up in the morning by Tom, who was our guide for the day. We visited exceptionally beautiful places throughout the day and captured these images. Tom took the time to share the history of Lake Tahoe and what life is like in this community. Tom, not only took us to many memorable spots on the lake, but also shared where to capture the sunsets, where to find the Aspens exploding with color, and other beautiful locations we didn't have time to visit. This tour is excellent!! Even though we were staying on the North side of the lake we felt it would be worthwhile to drive down to the South Shore to take this tour and we were so right . We've visited Lake Tahoe at least a half dozen times over the past 20 years and this was the best sightseeing experience we ever had at the lake. The photographic opportunities were awesome. We went to beautiful, scenic areas we never would have found on our own - we didn't even know they existed! The owner, Keith, who is a photographer was our tour guide. Keith was very knowledgable, gracious, and determined that we have a great time, which we definitely did. He provided excellent tips on taking photos. The tour exceeded our expectations and we highly recommend it. Great value for the price!

more like a 3 1/2 star event, closer to a 4. While I thoroughly enjoyed the scenery around Lake Tahoe, I thought this would be a trip that provided suggestions and assistance with photography. That didn't happen. Except for the driver, I was the only person with a DSLR camera. The others all had iPhones. While that's OK, I expected assistance from the tour guide. Instead, we were pretty much on our own. There were photographs taken of us tourists all 4 of us, and i was able to take some amazing photos. I was slightly disappointed with the length of the trip -- not the tour itself around 5 1/2 hours including a stop for lunch, but I thought we were going to get further around the lake. We did go pretty high up the mountain into areas I'm sure only people who live in the area would get to see. And we had access to some amazing scenes which I will remember for a very long time. The guide Mike G. of the local tour company was very well informed on a wide range of topics from ownership of the island in Emerald Bay and movie scenes filmed in the area, to how the lake was formed and is currently fed. I took about 500 photos of some beautiful scenery. I would definitely recommend the tour, but be prepared to take you own photos with little to no help from the guide. My wife, who is not a photographer, took some amazing pictures with her iPhone and loved the trip.

This was a 5 star tour. Our guide Garrett was great. He was very accommodating and knowledgeable of the Tahoe Area. He was an expert driver for the narrow roads we took. What a fun day. Took some great shots. Victor took us to places we would have never found by ourselves. This tour is great for people with little point and shoot cameras (like me) and those with cameras with all the fancy bells and whistles. Its a little pricey, but don't let that discourage you. You will not be disappointed.

This was an awesome tour. Tour guide, Greg, was familiar with the area and shared lots of personal insights. The views were gorgeous - and we had a lot of different views. It was a nice, relaxed tour. They also worked well with what worked into our schedule and things were very flexible. A little pricey, but we felt it was worth the money spent.

We had a great trip. Although we had driven around the lake a couple of times, Gary was able to take us to spots that we had not seen and get some great shots. We really enjoyed the time and would suggest it to anyone that wants to see more of the natural beauty of Lake Tahoe.
