St Maarten Gourmet Sailing and Snorkel Cruise
St Maarten, Netherlands Antilles
Enjoy smooth sailing from St Maarten, and dine on a gourmet lunch as you cruise in the Caribbean. Aboard a luxurious schooner with an expert crew, you’ll sail over turquoise waters along the beautiful island coastline. Enjoy fresh fruit and home-baked snacks along with rum punch, wine and beer from the open bar. Snooze on deck or swim and snorkel in Long Bay during your relaxing 4.5-hour ride! Receive personal attention on this small-group tour, limited to 20 passengers.
Meet your expert crew at the St Maarten Yacht Club Bar and Restaurant at 11am. You’ll board the Passaat, a historical 100-foot (30-meter) sailing schooner built in 1911. Then, prepare to set sail for your half-day Caribbean cruise along the gorgeous coastline of St Maarten! During your small-group cruise, relax in the absence of a crowd and enjoy a delicious snack—typically homemade banana or coconut cake and fresh tropical fruits. The open bar is available throughout your ride with a choice of wine, beer, rum punch, soda or juice. Without music on board to disrupt the peace, you can just listen to the wind in the sails and the water against the hull. The boat stops in Long Bay, one of the quietest and calmest snorkel areas on St Maarten's French side—St Martin. You'll have the opportunity to dive into the crystal clear waters and snorkel around this beautiful bay! Your gourmet Caribbean lunch is served at a shaded table on the foredeck. Choose between mahi mahi or chicken filet, each accompanied by mango sauce, salad, rice, plantains and bread. (Vegetarian option is available upon request in advance.) After lunch, snooze on the aft deck as your crew returns you back to shore.
Really enjoyed this trip. The boat is clean and the owners are the operators. The food was delicious! The sail has a large advertisement on it, so it doesn't look identical to the one in the photo, but otherwise is pretty accurate. The operators do not cater to the cruise industry, so it was nice to be on board with just 3 other couples.

Pieter and Mirian were awesome hosts. The water was really rough the day we went out but we all had fun. The lunch was made fresh and very tasty. The ship is very beautiful and this was an easy trip. Mirian arranged for a cab for us to return to the ship afterward as well. Great job!

My wife and I had a great time on this trip! The crew was a very friendly Dutch couple, and there was loads of room on the boat. They prepared us a legitimately delicious lunch, along with homemade rum cake, and they kept our drinks full. This was the perfect trip for my wife and I, since she would have gotten seasick on one of the smaller boats, and we got to enjoy the company of the other passengers and crew on board this massive sail boat. We also enjoyed the snorkeling in Long Bay.

It was wonderful! My husband and I had so much fun. Strangely enough, we met folks from our home, Massachusetts and New Hampshire, on the trip. The food was beautifully presented and tasted out of this world. Pieter and Marion were gracious hosts. I would highly recommend this to anyone. Five Stars!

A good sail out past beautiful beaches and the airport. After setting anchor, the snorkel had schools of fish and other sea life teaming in the natural cutouts and eddies in water by the rocks. A fine repast was served back aboard the vessel. Captain and crew knew their business and enjoy a life on the water. A relaxing sail back to port completed a fun tour with plenty of drink, good exercise and food.
