St Maarten Speed Boat and Snorkeling Tour
St Maarten, Netherlands Antilles
Take to the water on a comprehensive speedboat tour of St Maarten, with several snorkeling stops included in your 6-hour excursion. Snorkel at Creole Rock, swim among sea turtles around the uninhabited island of Tintamarre and enjoy a beachside lunch amid the shallow turquoise waters of Pinel Island. Your captain will share knowledge of the numerous bays surrounding St Maarten while you relax and enjoy soda and beer from the onboard open bar. Receive personal attention from your guide on this small-group tour, limited to 16 people.
Start your 6-hour speedboat and snorkel tour from Dock Maarten Chesterfield Wharf, departing at 10am for Simpson Bay Bridge on the Dutch side of the island. Here, you’ll see yachts and villas on display in the Caribbean’s largest lagoon. Along the way, enjoy unlimited beer, soda and water from the open bar aboard your boat.
Head to Marigot, capital of the French Saint-Martin, where cafés line the Marina Royale. Then, pass to the opposite side to see private sailing boats moored in the bay, and view the historic Ft Louis and French flag overlooking the town. It’s a short cruise to Friars Bay, known for its full moon parties, and the more secluded Happy Bay. Your captain will make a quick stop at the unbelievably white beach of Tintamarre Island for some unforgettable swimming with sea turtles in the calm waters of the marine reserve.
Re-board your boat for Pinel Island, where you can sit in the shallow water with a refreshing beverage. Enjoy a hot lunch served at a restaurant on the sun-drenched Yellow Beach. If you’d like, hike around the tiny island to explore sandy shores and isolated rock pools, whose crystal-clear waters are protected from pounding surf.
After approximately one hour at Pinel Island, ride to Creole Rock, located in the middle of the Bay of Grand Case. This marine reserve is the island’s best-kept secret, where sea life abounds in the shallow water. After a snorkel stop for an undersea adventure, cruise around the island, passing the red rock cliffs of Bay Rouge and the mansions of Terre Basse. You’ll have the opportunity to feed the fish in the turquoise waters of Long Bay while keeping an eye out for any celebrities on the golden sands of the exclusive La Samanna Resort.
Next, be sure to have your camera ready to photograph planes directly overhead as aircraft come in for a landing at nearby Princess Juliana Airport. It’s just a short cruise back around Simpson Bay to admire 150-foot (45-meter) mega yachts before arriving back at Dock Maarten Chesterfields Wharf.

We had a great time! Boat is fantastic! This is an exciting, bump ride at times. Great way to see the island. Snorkeling is fair to other islands (Turks and Caicos). Well worth the money!

This tour was by far the highlight of my husband and I and #39;s honeymoon! The captain was funny, entertaining, and so welcoming. He took us around the whole island, stopped at beautiful beaches to swim and snorkel, and took us to a local gem of a restaurant where the service and food was fantastic!

This excursion was my favorite of the week. Redek, our captain, was the best, and so informative, and just a fun guy. Lunch was very good, sure surprised us, since my husband can be picky, but he loved it. A beautiful, exciting day!!

This was our favorite excursion of our trip! Mike was our Captain and tour guide. He has real enthusiasm and kept everyone smiling and laughing. Our kids (12 and 14) speeding across the ocean in the speed boat. His daughter Gabriella, was a great hostess. She was such a sweetheart!

The whole experience was great the company who organised the boat and the skipper really looked after us. Only disappointment was the snorkelling. No turtles!

When we arrived at the destination on the scheduled day of the tour, the tour guide did not have our reservations. He was pleased to hear that we were staying on the island and could reschedule. To make up for the inconvenience, we were picked up by boat at our timeshare, we had fewer people, and stayed out s bit longer. Great trip.

If there were a 6th star available Michael has earned it!

We spent two very active weeks on St. Maarten scuba diving, touring neighboring islands, dining and when not diving signed up for other water excursions. The Speed Boat and Snorkeling Tour with Michael on his magnificant Midnight Express was absolutely the best value and an awesome way to visit the small islands only accessible my boat. This day trip was better than advertised and I highly recommend you fit this into your itinerary. Speeding back to the marina in a heavy rain that came at the end of the day made the adventure even better. M. Curry, Missouri

Captain Mike was friendly and very knowledgeable. I wasn't sure about the price as it is a little more expensive than some excursions, but it was worth every penny and more. Overall, it was amazing. We saw several sea turtles while snorkeling, the boat was fun, lunch was good, and drinks plentiful. I will be back and definitely book this again!

It was the most fun we had on our trip and helped us get to know different parts of the island. Captain Bob and his son Brett were great hosts . Amazing food for lunch!
