We flew to St. Petersburg for a day during a week-long trip to Moscow for the World Cup. Our tour guide, Dasha, was very competent and knew her history. She also spoke perfect English, which was very helpful. We did the all day tour which included Church of the Savior on Spilled Blood, lunch and ended at the Hermitage Museum. There was a lot of walking, but we were driven to each location by minivan. The Hermitage Museum is huge, like the Louvre, so there is a lot to see in just a few hours. My only complaint was that we did not get dropped off at our pick up location (across from the airport), but instead had to take a taxi back to the airport. With the World Cup traffic (there was a game in St. Petersburg that day) and a sudden downpour, we barely made it back to the airport in time for our return flight to Moscow. Other than that small inconvenience, the tour was very informative and covered all the sites one would want to see while visiting St. Petersburg.

We booked this amazing excursion on Viator in Saint Petersburg on the 26th of December 2017. It was absolutely fantastic! Our guide Julia picked us up at our hotel in a comfortable minivan on time. She made it possible for us to see almost all the main attractions in St Petersburg in the short time available to us. We had lunch at the most charming little restaurant with lovely food typical of the region. Julia was a fountain of knowledge and enjoyed the day immensely. She spoke English perfect. I would 100 recommend this trip.

This was perfect. My husband literally had one day to tour and we wanted to see as much as we could. Our guide was perfect-she was so friendly and we did see everything. We were together all day and into the evening. I would definitely recommend this if you need to do St. Petersburg in a day!

If you are short on time in St Petersburg and are after a comprehensive tour of this stunning city, we can't recommend this tour enough. _br/_ Our guide Lida was incredibly informative and provided excellent commentary throughout all of the places we visited. Lida even took us on a little detour to visit the Church of St Nicholas Naval Cathedral which had its daily service on when we visited we were silent! and we were blown away by the beauty of the cathedral as well as the choir that sang during service. Possibly one of the better tours we have ever attended.

So this one day tour suited the needs of our small group of six and it made sure we understood some of the highlights of this wonderful city. Our guide was Lyda from Maria tours and she was absolutely first class and so knowledgable and very patient in imparting that explanation. The first part of the tour is via minibus with stops on the way. The latter part of the tour is conducting on foot but its not arduous. The lunch stop is in a very nice restaurant with a very enjoyable 3 course format. All of the entry fees are included in the rice and the guide facilitates these on the parties entry.

The route was very well planned so that we got to cover as much places as possible. My tour guide named Alyona was amazing! She's one of the most knowledgeable guides I have ever encountered when I visit a foreign city. You will never get confused or bored when you have her on your side. Her very well-spoken British English will charm you throughout the tour : In general, I would highly recommend this tour to visitors who only visit the city for a short time. But believe me, St Petersburg is a very beautiful and classic city with enormous elegant sites to visit and fun to shop. So stay a bit longer is highly recommended!!

My guide Julia was sweet but she thought my tour was of St Issacs only. I informed her otherwise so after a 1/2 hour tour we drove quickly from here there and lots of sites were pointed out. She was knowledgeable but I assumed we'd see a few sites in detail. So this was 120 for 21/2 hours. The day before I had an excellent tour of the Hermitage which was thoroughly enjoyable and informative, 3 hours and cost 60 . Thought I was short changed a bit in The Grand Tour

We got the whole day and all inclusive option. Our guide spoke multiple languages as well as us, so we communicated very good. The guide was young, a student, spoke soft and at time hard to hear. The tour is a perfect way to get an idea of the main attractions and then come back to the ones that interest most. It is a quick moving tour, be ready to walk fast to make the most. The last part, the Hermitage. The fact not having to stand in the line, it pays the tour alone. The Hermitage visit is the last of the tour so we were able to stay in for more time.
