While the driver wasn't there when we got in, the flight was a bit early and we didn't have to wait very long. He didn't speak English but we communicated just fine. The ride was about thirty or so minutes, directly to the ally by the hotel. Great service and ride.

We were met at the airport and driven to our hotel. The only negative was that our driver did not speak English at all so it was a very quiet trip to our hotel. It would have been nice to be told how long the journey to the hotel would be and some information along the way.

On a positive note, the driver was on time, easy to find at the airport, very friendly even though he spoke no English and delivered us to the hotel without incident. Unfortunately, the vehicle was a huge negative. It was a standard white taxi, there was no leg room and the air conditioning did not work well. However, the price was very reasonable, but this is not the same quality as the limo service you get in the USA and most of Europe for a slightly higher price. If cost is not an issue and you are staying at a five star hotel, go with the transfer service offered by the hotel at 30 more.

The driver we booked on the net was lovely even though he spoke no English except "OK" and we spoke no Russian. He was held up by traffic so we were beginning to wonder if anyone was meeting us, but from then on was most helpful._br/_
St Petersburg was amazing in every respect and one of the most interesting and lovely cities we have visited. People generally were very helpful and the food we had was international, well priced and good.

Arriving in a strange city we had organised this transfer to take the stress out of the transfer from the airport to the hotel._br/_
The driver was 25 minuets late no explanation or apology was given. He parked a good 10 minutes walk away from the arrivals and did not offer to carry anything._br/_
He spoke no English....which was not expected but his attitude at best could be described as rude._br/_
On our way back to the airport we booked though a company called Welcome Taxis he picked us up a few minuets early, dropped us at the airport door and gave us lots of information. I wish we had booked them on the way in. They were also less than half the cost for much better service._br/_
Fortunately the Taxi trip was our only bad experience in St Petersberg

We were picked up by a driver that had a printed sign with my name on it. Outside the airport he was driving a regular cab. He knew where we were going as he had it on his GPS. He did not have money to pay for the parking fee and left us in the cab while he went back in the building to borrow money from someone. His driving was not the best but acceptable. When we came to a toll booth he still had no money and tried to talk his way through and then went to a cab 3 cars behind to borrow more money. We arrived at the hotel and he didn't know what to do with the prepaid voucher we gave him. He appeared to want me to pay him directly although he did not speak english. We left him with the voucher and went inside the hotel and did not see him again. I have used Viator on three previous occasions and have always had exceptional service and first class transportation. This experience will make me hesitate to use Viator again.

The transfer went off without a hitch. However, the owner (or travel agent of the local company) called me during transit and insisted that I hand the transfer receipt to him and not the driver. He said he would meet me at the hotel and failed to arrive at the designated time. An inconvenience I could do without!

I had trouble finding my driver. I never saw anyone with a placard with my name on it....and I saw lots of other drivers with them. I saw sure I was in the Arrivals Hall. I asked 3 people for help and they said I was in the wrong place and sent me 3 times to other levels. Even though I had an international phone I call the number but was unable to contact them. Fortunately a kindly airport gentleman called for me and the cal went through so I found my driver. Next time I think I will just take a taxi.

The driver didn't show up for OVER TWO HOURS. I had to have other people call the company in Russia several times to track them down and still it took that long for her to figure out she was in the domestic terminal instead of the international one. There was no apology and she spoke no english. Cabs in Russia can be sketchy for a young woman traveling alone so this was unacceptable. Then she couldn't find my hotel and we went in circles. Awful experience.

Unfortunately there were problems with this transfer and I would not use this company again. We arrived on schedule but despite 3 phone calls over nearly 2 hours they were unable to say where the driver was or when they would arrive. Just kept saying are you sure you are in the right place. St Petersburg airport is not very big. Eventually the driver turned up. The company did provide a small discount off a tour the next day.

Not at all happy! We paid for a transfer for 4 adults with luggage and we were charged accordingly. When we were met at the airport, the driver had only a medium sized sedan and instead of calling for a larger vehicle or a second vehicle, he crammed us into his car. Three passengers on the back seat had a huge suitcase across our knees as well as smaller bags packed around us. This is not what we were charged for - we were very annoyed to say the least, especially after flying for more than 30 hours.

Booked airport transfer from St. Petersburg Airport to Crowne Plaza Hotel in the city. Driver was waiting for us and very efficient service. Didn't really compare rates with taxis but given the reputation of Russian taxis and costs I imagine the rate we paid was at lower end of scale. Actually surprised by the low cost. After the Mercedes, etc. in Amsterdam, we were more than surprised by the caual attire of the driver in St. Petersburg. Although he spoke no English, we were able to make ourselves understood. The car was an unidentifiable brand with multi-hued doors and parts, a musty, worm interior and, although, it ran, it was far from the smooth ride we had in Amsterdam. When we pulled up in front of the Taleon Imperial Hotel, the doorman almost shooed us away!

They were there within 5 minutes of our getting through customs. We were one of the first off the plane so we got through in about 30 seconds. Although he did not speak English the driver was very nice and professional. The car was very nice and clean.

A very efficient service. The driver couldn't speak a word of English but was very friendly. To be fair, why should he? It is Russia. My only complain is that it was very expensive for a single person. Just catch a taxi or use public transport instead. I have now sussed out the public transport and I could get back to the airport for £36 cheaper just using the metro and a (direct) minibus.
