Experience the thrill of driving your own speedboat through the serene waters of Tampa Bay. For the entirety of this narrated tour, you’ll navigate and captain your own speedboat while following a trained and knowledgeable guide in a different boat. There is a two-way communication system mounted in each boat, so you'll be able to hear your guide throughout the tour. This speedboat adventure is a great way to see beautiful Tampa Bay from the water!
Before you start zipping through the waters of Tampa Bay on your speedboat adventure from St Petersburg, you’ll have a safety orientation to review boating basics, rules of the water and hand signals. Then, hop in and experience the thrill of driving your own speedboat while your skilled guide introduces you to the beauty of the Florida coast.
Following your guide, who will provide narration through the two-way communication system, you’ll pass beautiful islands that house national wildlife refuges and the historic Fort De Soto Park. You may see pods of bottlenose dolphins, manatees, gopher tortoises and numerous varieties of local birds.
There will be several stops throughout the tour at various points of interest. If you want to change drivers, you may do so at any of the brief stops.
It's cool to drive your own boat, but the small size means a mighty rough ride on some of the choppier sections of the bay. Also, the radio communications were nearly impossible to hear. Otherwise, it's a fun excursion and a great way to see the sights from the water.

We did the Speedboat Tour in mid December. We were lucky as we were the only booking so we had Caption Scott to ourselves. It was a fantastic few hours. We were a little anxious as we don't normally do water sports of the high adrenaline order ! We had a safety meeting them meandered out of the harbor past numerous yachts..._br/_ As we left the harbor we spotted a group of dolphins, what a start. But once we got outside and put the throttle down WOW !! We felt extremely safe with Captain Scott never more than a 100 yards in front of us, who came back to us at times to fill us in on interesting facts about the bay and some of the mansions and owners in the area. _br/_ A great morning out !

Not exactly as promised. We drove a 14-foot boat around the bay and it was fun but there was no tour or visiting of interesting spots. Heck, they didn't even provide the bottle of water._br/_ These two guys operate out of the back of a van but they ARE enthusiastic and helpful and fun. Overall, it's not bad but don't get your hopes up from the pictures and descriptions.

LOVED IT!!! Captain Tony is the best!! We saw lots of dolphins, the million dollar yacht that sank recently, gorgeous homes, the fastest speedboat in the county, and just enjoyed the speed and fun. This trip was for my 15 year-old granddaughter's birthday - she had a wonderful time!!! Will definitely go back!!!

AWESOME!!! I purchased this tour for my husband and 8 year old son. They came back beaming with excitement, said they caught some really good speed out on the ocean, got so close to the dolphins they could almost touch them, tour guide was super knowledgeable, and showed them lots of cool stuff about the area. We stayed in Orlando and visited theme parks, and this was still my sons favorite part of our trip.

Chris and Captain Tony were very knowledgeable regarding boat safety, rules and regulations, and the Tampa bay waters. Fun and safety were prioritized . This is a must-do activity for all St. Pete visitors. My girlfriend and I have never driven a boat and yet felt extreme safe under their guidance.

This tour was absolutely amazing! Neither myself, nor my boyfriend had ever driven a boat before but they gave us a great orientation outlining the rules of the water and how to work the boat. I felt safe the entire time (even at full speed!).
