Shakespeare's Birthplace: 'Any Three Houses' Ticket

Stratford-upon-Avon, United Kingdom

Visiting Shakespeare's home town? Take a walk in the footsteps of a literary giant and discover three key Shakespearean sights in Stratford-upon-Avon with the 'Any Three Houses' ticket. Choose from Shakespeare's Birthplace, Anne Hathaway's Cottage, Mary Arden's Farm, Hall's Croft, and Shakespeare's New Place, reopened in 2016.

Get great-value access to three key Shakespearean sights in Stratford-upon-Avon with the 'Any Three Houses' ticket. Take your pick of any three out of the five included attractions.

Perhaps you'll opt for Shakespeare's Birthplace, and explore the house where the playwright was born and grew up. Or maybe you'll choose Hall's Croft, the beautifully furnished Jacobean home of Shakespeare's daughter Susanna and her wealthy physician husband, Dr John Hall. Anne Hathaway's Cottage with its beautiful gardens is a classic choice, and the place where he courted his bride-to-be.

At Mary Arden's Farm, experience the sights, sounds, and smells of a working Tudor farm – Shakespeare's mother's childhood home. Alternatively, visit Shakespeare's New Place, the city's newest and most exciting attraction, set on the site of the home where Shakespeare spent 19 years of his life, with specially commissioned sculptures in a contemporary landscape setting.

These multiple site tickets really are amazingly good value by any standard, but I can honestly say that I've never visited any historical site that has been so well-staffed with knowledgeable and engaging custodians who clearly loved their jobs and their subjects as the three Shakespeare Birthplace Trust properties I saw are. They made such a difference, turning what could be a disengaged viewing of historical artefacts into an interactive experience, particularly at Mary Arden's farm where there were also everyday Tudor activities going on at every turn, carried out by staff in character.

We saw Anne Hathaway's Cottage, Shakespeare's family home and Mary Arden's Farm. We enjoyed all three.

Really liked the idea of visiting 3 houses in one day and as long as you start early, 9am for us, you can fit in the 3 houses without feeling rushed and having time to enjoy the gardens with a nice hot drink._br/_ Everyone was very helpful in the houses and clearly knew a lot about them, but what was really nice was the staff really seemed to be enjoying their job._br/_ We did Shakespeare's house, Mary Ardens farm and Anne Hathaway's home, three different houses with different things of interest. This choice of 3 really suited us.

Really interesting to see how people lived over 400 years ago. The guides in each house were knowledgeable, interesting and friendly. Well worth the price!

The tour was terrific. What was not terrific was the fact that I was told that I had to pay extra for the bus part of the tour. The tour package that I booked online did not cover this-or so I was told. This meant I had to pay an extra 24 pounds for the tour. The bus was nice, the audio info was great and easy to follow, and the city was lovely. All three houses we visited were well staffed and fascinating to tour.

Viator always provides amazing experiences. We love going through Shakespeare's birthplace! We spent so much time in this birthplace that we ran out of time to see the other two houses. I know they are also exciting! We love Viator!!

Good day out, done the three houses tour which was quite enough. Shakespeares birth place was good but quite busy. Hathaway cottage is very picturesque with a lovely garden. The best house was Mary Ardens farm. We managed to join the guided tour which was very informative and highly recommended. We would also suggest that you buy the bus sightseeing tour which lets you travel around all the sites for a day and you can jump off and on when it suits you.

Anne Hathaway's cottage was beautiful, the bookshop had some very good Shakespeare books useful for my daughters English classes. We followed the houses in date order so we could see the development over time. It was good to see the three houses in one day.

The 3 house ticket allowed us to complete each tour at a leisurely pace and benefit from having adequate time to do other things. All staff and guides were knowledgeable and answered any questions asked of them. I would recommend the 3 house ticket to others.

Loved it! We stayed in Stratford for 2 nights and walked to Shakepeare's house, Anne Hathaways cottage, and to Shakespeare's grave. Such a pretty town!
