You can hop on and off as many times as you like aboard these open-top double-decker buses. There are 11 stops in total, and the entire route takes approximately one hour. The bus departs every 25 minutes from each stop and tickets are valid for 24 hours from first use.

Many of the headphone sockets did not work. All the other Hoppers we have used provided free wifi. None at all on these buses. As we were not able to hear anything first time round, we stayed on and went round again. Having switched seats yet again during the break we found ONE that worked and shared it, one headphone each. We then learnt a lot!

The tour was perfect for giving us an overview of the city. We went round once and then a second time, hopping off at various places of interest. Only problem we encountered was that of the bus finishing running early. We waited for almost an hour for the bus to pick us up at Corte Ingles to take us back to the Plaza. In the end, we had to walk back, which wasn't ideal as I have mobility problems.

We love to take the Hop-on Hop-off Tours in most every city upon arrival for an overview and to get a sense of where things are. Santa Cruz de Tenerife is very small compared to most cities we have taken this tour and the commentary was a bit on the slim side yet the ticket price was the same which is why I am giving it a 3 star rating. The tour did take us to the places we were interested in visiting. The service was reliable. I would definitely recommend sitting on the top.

We had a wonderful time on the hop-on-hop-off bus. We went four times back and forth from one end to the other. We just did not have enough time to visit the places we had planned. Time was of the essence.

This was O.K. It was not great. I don't think there was a lot to see on a drive about town in Tenerife. They identified all the stops, but did not explain the significance of any so it was kind of uninformative. It was a quick ride around the city but not a lot to see.

Sadly, we were disappointed with this hop-on, hop-off tour. The ear plugs worked not at all or sporadically. The on-board staff were not helpful. Several of the stops/pick up locations were missing signage with the stop number, which caused us to miss a bus and walk an additional mile.
